[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
*Flashback:

Heart took seconds to recover himself from Terra assault. He try to keep himself calm and tell him. "...I know those Pokemon was Electrode Terra. But I honestly didn't know about they're explosive nature Terra. Or if I know, I must have forgotten. Even a Pokemon Rare Collector can forget some info. I should have study more though. But don't need to be so harsh on me Terra."

"*Shrugs* Don't know. They just do. Found it in a big crater in center of Safari Zone Area 6, with a Lunatone's help. Think it was place that the meteor crashed in Ice Age."

As he said this, the sagely monk's face lit up as he remembered the other things he learned in/about the Safari Heartlands, and quickly brought out his Pokedex and started showing it to the scholarly trainer!

"Ah! Remember that I found a buried cave there too! Had these pictures in them, showing Deoxys. Lunatone told me they left long ago too...*expression tenses*.....but they are coming back now."

Uneasy silence encroached upon the pair as he inadvertently brought up the alien supervirus' impending return along with the Millineum Comet, though Nathan's next question manages to clear it away as he thought it over.....and shrugged again.

"See if I can refine and process them into something good. Deyo Flowers are bad, but maybe not stuff made from it. *Shakes head* Or maybe so. Won't know until I conduct research. Keeping mind open. Cooking lessons taught me that 'Every meal made is an fun experiment that can yield fantastic results with the right blend of ingenuity!,' so want to see.....how far that perspective can.......be applied. Also taught me how to make bad stuff like Poison into tasty food, like Qwuilfish Fugu, Conc-Tea-Tration (Hyper Caffinated Tea, FYI), or Poke Salad, so I think its possible Deyo can be made into something good. "

Simple as that, for the rugged wanderer! Though you have to wonder what else those 'Cooking Lessons' taught him, among other things. Well, at least he learned a lot!

*Flashback!*

Terra's indignation didn't waver at his friend's response, shaking his head slowly as he continue to stare and simply said thus:

"I do. So you always remember, and never forget."

From there, he departs , this time ignoring anything else the rare collector might say in his defense. He isn't exactly interested in such arguments at this point; maybe later, after he's calmed down and the crisis fades into memory.

The deep quarry is a somber place. A hewn path winds down toward the bottom, passing repeated engravings of a rarely-known Pokemon which is native to Creshire but seldom seen outside of Alola.

The colors have faded, matching the rest of the mine... except for the bright flashes of MSC, which become less common as you go downward.

At the 25' mark, the light is already very dim, but the MSC clusters disappear. Below this, the quarry was just mined out by Pokemon, not by man. There are lots of little tunnels, the stonework is rougher (except for the path), and water has filled the lowest points with scattered ponds.

Then the quarry begins rumbling, and one wall bursts into rubble! A massive stone snake bursts forth - an Onix!

Terra is welcome to participate, or to back off and not split the XP.

Donnegan's Crater looks like it was once very popular, but now there's only Spira, an old couple with a camera shared between them, and two vendors. One has a kiosk selling books about Pokemon technology and a little excursion where you dig MSC out of a sandpit. The other vendor has a swirling rainbow holographic banner with no words on it, and a big heap of brown paper bags with question marks on them.

Shiva indeed finds a crater atop the mesa. It has straaaange crevices in it, clear outlines in the holographic stone leading down slantwise into the earth.

They look like this:

There are about five or six of them scattered around the crater.

The little pond is behaving weirdly. The water's surface is bubbling and concentric rings spread out from several points. On closer inspection, the mud of the pond's bank is behaving the same way.

(What's MSC again?)
Spira looks at the vendor with the wordless holographic/rainbow banner wearily, he figures it's most likely one of those "Gift Bag" vendors. First stop is checking this vendor out (depending on how much these Gift Bags are, he'll get one), he'll then leaf through one of the books (provided there's a copy for customers to read) The sandpit excursion feels like something geared toward a younger audience than himself to Spira, that and he doesn't wanna get sand in his clothing, again, so he refrains from digging up any MSC right now.

Heart think for a few seconds about what to do...Then he have a idea! He bring D-Pikachu and Xatu to the field. "Alright you two. Here the plan: Pikachu, use a restrained Nuzzle to hit the concentric rings and make whatever is making them come out from its hiding place! Xatu, prepare Future Sight to cause a good hit in the right moment that fish jump from its aque hideout. In case the situation get out of hand, Teleport us again out of this place."

Nuzzle Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) = 12D6
Damage: Power (1) + STR (4) + STAB (1) + SE (1) = 6D6+1
Effect: Automatic paralyze target.

Future Sight Accuracy:  Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) = 12D6
Damage: Power (5) + STR (4) + STAB (1) = 10D6
Effect: Strike Next round. Ignore defenses.

Concerning what happened to Heart, Shiva mostly remained in the background and prefered to keep Spira's and her Pokemon's silent company instead of forcing herself onto the others. It looked like the others already cared for his wounds and reminded him on carefulness, so she doesn't feel a need of adding something. She 'only' gave Heart a sympathic+relieved and Terra a mildly suprised look before shrugging things off and follow the path to the city of tiny yellow flowers.

She visibly and suddenly percked up at some point and stared into the direction of a neaby hilltop, she could have sworn that something from there was calling her name all silently. Or was it just her imagination or gut feeling??! She wasn't entirerly sure, but she knows she shouldn't blatantly ignore this curiosity. And ayyyeee, she managed to spot some of these loved and hated Deyo Flowers up there!~ Now an excited smile came over her to mask the frown and she tells Pachirisu over the change of plan.

It took her a while to arrive at this hilltop but as she was finally up there - and admired the great view for a bit - she could only barely hold back a pleasantly suprised *gaaaasp* as she has just discovered a hidden and secluded crater side. My, how many impacts has Creshire endured? "Haha, now I understand what you mean by 'weird Pokemon ahead', Pachirisu!~ Aren't these flowers pretty? They're called 'Deyo' and are very special indeed." Shiva carefully touches and sniffs on one. (But does not pick one.)

Kneeing down to take an interested look at these straaange crevices, she smiles. She finds them incredibly cute! Humm, and that...powerful presence she picked up even from a few miles, it must be much stronger now. The source of this presence must be either within or down this hill! But can she make out whether it feels more like a Pokemon/a colony of Pokemon or more like...some stone? Maybe the meteor that crashed here is still vivid.

She gently turns towards pink Pachirisu again. "So, dear one, do you...know whether something lives down these crevices? It looks a lot to me like it does, that's so cool! Have you met these hill dwellers at some point, maybe? They must be there - and given their amazing and sensitive sense of hearing, they probably are already is aware of us. Aww!" In general, Shiva's very enraptured over this place. ^_^
