You can actually do async encounters, like so:

1. Angela fights Terra. It's Angela's second Encounter and Terra's third.
2. Angela fights Shiva. It's Angela's third Encounter and Shiva's third.

That sounds like the easiest way to solve this potential issue, yay! If you're fine with rolling those two battles out simultaneously, that is. Humm, this would also mean that any Pokemon of Angela that Terra manages to faint, she won't be able to bring up against me. (Unless she has a lot of Revives and meds on hand)

That's reasoned and perfectly alright, but I definitely desire for a chance to face him in a fight not only for the sake of character goals, but also because it has potential to be an interesting fight.
