[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

You can't put someone else's Pokemon into your PC. It would just send Helios back to Shiva.

"I'm glad you came prepared. I don't have anything else going on today, so I'm game to start now! :v"

She leads you into the room full of tubes, which I believe Terra has already seen. She places a Pokeball at the top of one of the tubes. "Who is first for you?"

(Gotcha. Good thing Terra's line up should be robust enough without needing too many back-up options!)

Tanuki's......expression manages to get an raised eyebrow from the sagely monk, but he shrugged it off and followed her to the area proper (Which he's heard about, but has not seen - don't have to describe it again, Iron!), and when prompted for his first Pokemon he plucks off Basteele's Ultra Ball and tosses it out, summoning the ironclad insect to the forefront! Her eyes immediately take on an aggressive gleam as she thumps the ground twice, raring to take some punishment and dish some out herself! If that lass wants to get at her partners, SHE'LL HAVE TO GO THROUGH HER!!!

(Internet at home is being stupid and not loading the Uranium Forums for some reason.  Keep getting Error 522: Connection timed out, and I think it might be my internet's fault.  On my phone atm since using a data connection seems to work just fine, but posting is taking more time than usual.)

"Saw what Howl said the both of you were capable of, and I honestly have to say that you both definitely seem to have a lot of potential.  With enough practice, you two could maybe do a lot of the same things that Calam can.  That fleet footedness should serve you well both in and out of battle with the proper training, and that is what Calam and I will aim to help you achieve!  It won't be easy, but the end goal is for the both of you to be swift, powerful Zoroark one day!"

Calam's still calmly and analytically watching the Zorua.

"Well, since there's two of you, I think a nickname is in order.  Makes it easier to distinguish who's talking to who.  So...how about Vixey, my newest trainee and hopefully friend?"

Got the idea from Disney's The Fox and the Hound.  It's based on the word 'vixen', which is a female fox.  A bit on the nose, and there's no guarantees that Zorua's personality is going to be like the Disney character's, but I like the sound of the name at least.

-----------------------------------------

Don't have a whole lot else to say about the Zorua scene atm (depending on how Zorua reacts to what Nathan's said).  I'll deal with who Nathan teaches FLASH to in a second.  For now, let's move on to fishing for Nathan's third encounter!  Let's put that Super Rod to good use!

Tanuki thumps the tube, and the Pokeball rolls down and out to reveal a very confused Spinda.

Spinda: (6)
Forretress: (6)

Naturally, Tanuki is much faster than the big steel bug, but she's really going to struggle to do any damage here.

What kind of bait is available?  I don't actually have anything in my notes on that topic yet.

Terra looks thoughtful for a moment at Lady Excitable's question (and a little more curious/confused about how exaggerated she was being with her expression) , before shrugging his shoulders.

"Somewhat. Respect her Strength and.....willingness to do what needs to be done, and consider her someone I trust. She is also big friend of my friends and boss, so that makes her my friend too. That is all."

Seeing Spinda and its fast, hap-hazardous movements causes the sagely monk's eyebrows to furrow as he scrutinized it. A erratic and debiltating Normal type, and one that's hard to pin down even in the best of cases. He'll need a thorough plan to keep Basteele from getting derailed by this bad bear....

His expression then turned serious as a plan came together in his head, and swept a hand out forward towards his bold bombshell and began issuing his commands!

"Basteele, set up field with Hazards, then Bug Bite into Spinda. We have fought their kind before, so remember: beware its tricks and steps."

Orders: Basteele will start things off by using Stealth Rock and then Spikes on the Field in tandem (particularly around the pipes' entrances) to put Tanuki at a major long term disadvantage and discourage too much switching on her part, then follow up with Bug Bite to try and deal Damage and scout for any Berries or other edible Items they may be holding. If they use Fake Out during either the Stealth Rocks or Spikes Actions, then proceed to use that Move again in place of the next Action (If SR gets FO, then Actions will be SR again and Spikes, and if S. FOed, then Bug Bite gets replace with it. Also, spending a Will Point on Stealth Rocks, in order to make sure it lands. Keep in mind that Basteele is also holding a Chesto Berry, so if they use Hypnosis while she still has it on, then the Status gets instantly cured. Time to seed for the future, and grow some success!

Moves

Stealth Rock: 7D6 + 1 Base Accuracy, Lays SR Hazard
Spikes: 10D6 B.A. , Lays S. Hazard
Bug Bite: 12D6 B.A., 8D6 Base Damage, Eats Berries and other Edibles

(Basically, you can use any Berry you have or Consumable on hand and put it on the Rod's hook, and it will function as bait. The more enticing/valuable the bait is, the better the chances of catching something good. An example of some is Honey Dipped food/Berries, or using some Gormet Food (A few pieces or a whole unit of it, depending on how much you want to entice a Pokemon] . As for Items specifically designed to be Bait, you'll have to check what the local area is offering and purchase some if you wish.)

Oh, well, in that case, let's use a Honey dipped Persim Berry since Nathan has so much Honey and has a few Confusion healing items to spare.

Speaking of Honey, since Nathan has some party flexibility now, it's finally time for Princess and Zippy to explore Elanor while doing some Honey Gathering!  Maybe they'll still be able to get more Honey than usual (like in Teazel Valley) since there's so many flowers around?  I bet they're gonna really like it here.  This is one of the big places that Nathan wanted to bring them to, and with good reason!

That reminds me - Honchkrow and Honedge both gain 1 point of Loyalty over this display of sportsmanship. Well, for Honchkrow it's more about toying with a victim...
