[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Quote:Quote Mika: I'll see what I can do. Shiva can consider it thanks for hearing him out earlier.

That's nothing Spira'd have to thank her for, she'll gladly do that anythime, least of all with such a rare 'Mon like a witchy Mismagius (⁄ ⁄>⁄o⁄<⁄ ⁄) - but if that's the way you want it, I'll happily accept, yay!

So, looking at it again, that Gengar had...

...actually, I can't determine how much Vit that Gengar had.

Because Spirit forgot to account for Iron Fist in his damage calculations again, and Iron isn't showing the Scims' stats.

That Gengar could have had 4 or 5 Vit, and I'm not sure which it is.

Which means I don't know if that Scim used Strength and has a high Strength stat, or used STRENGTH and has a low Str stat.

Either way, though, the question of how the heck the Scims got ahold of any form of Strength is stil valid, as no pokemon learns the move naturally (in Creshire, anyways) and the HM has been missing for years since Team Rocket stole the League's copy...

Edit: Actually, looking at it once again...Gendry's Strength 2 was a crit. Seems to be more likely that he has...3 Strength, was using the standard 3 Power Strength, and Gengar had 4 Vit. I think...

In other words, it's probably a race to see witch group will grab the Legendary HM first: Us or the Scimitars. We already have Rock Smash and Flash in our side. The Scims probably have Strength. With the only HM left is:

Cut
Dive
Surf
And Fly

Unless they grab another one of the HM's we have more HM in our side. You think Cosh or any of his Scimitar servants have the HM with them at the moment, or did they leave it at their basement?

And before I forget....@Nylon, you could at least should have tell us you deliver the book to the Scimitars.

Don't blame Valder, he had his personal mission and quest and all he did was follow it until it's completed. (*>з<) It's not even 100% certain yet that the Scims have some HMs in their posession, I remember Surf is kept by the League itself even. A tad bit more important are - at least for me and at the moment - these Artifacts.

I mean, it might be...if the Scims have any idea where the HMs even are in the first place.  Keep in mind that the only ones that weren't lost in some fashion were FLASH and SURF, which are both in the League's possession.

There is a possibility that there are multiple copies of every HM out there, but it's far more likely that the Scims obtained access to the weaker versions of the moves.  Those typically have to be passed down via breeding if the move in question isn't accessible via a pokemon's level up movepool, though, which is why I find it suspicous that the Scims suddenly have widespread access to base Strength.  Unless they've been working on this for awhile, I'm not sure how they could have gotten everyone in their ranks usage of it so quickly.

If there's anything we might have to race them to, it's the Genesect Fossil. But we know exactly where it is, and they probably don't, so we have a distinct advantage there.

Oi, save it for IC if we ever see Valder again, Spirit.  We didn't even know what he wanted that book for OOC until now.  No reason to snip at Nylon for that, particularly when he's not even in the game any more and this might have been a decision Iron made. Nylon was simply playing his character, and he did a fine job of it in my opinion.

Dragonstrike, does Nathan have any Max and/or Hyper Potions? If not, Terra would be more than happy to lend some of his healing supplies to you ASAP in order to treat Charizard's grisly injuries. Man, the fire drake should have easily dodged the dark faker, but those treacherous dice.....grrr.

I've got 2 Hypers (1 after using one on Charizard).  Was hoping to save them for later, but...well, this is what I bought them for, after all.

Shame my strategy didn't fully work, but stuff happens.  I'm just glad a literal One Hit Kill on Charizard wasn't possible.

I've also got 5 Supers, 3 Standards, 2 Super Orchids, and 5 Potion Orchids. Plus the 1 Revive Orchid and 4 Revives. And 3 Sceptile Seeds for Grass types. And lots and lots of status healing items. I double checked that I had lots of healing items before I spent my cash on other things.

On a different note...FLASH inflicted a -4 Accuracy penalty when Calam used it...hmmmm...interesting...I wonder if that has something to do with the Ruins specifically or if Calam just has an innately stronger FLASH due to the exact nature of his Fairy typing and how it's presented...?

Oh yeah, in other news...Calam's accumulated enough exp to potentially learn Perish Song.  If we need to put a time limit on a fight against something that we aren't sure we can down in 1 or 2 Rounds, he could potentially do so.

Just so you guys know. Don't want to drop a random Perish Song on the party if I decide to spend the exp on it, after all.

...ya know, I daresay that Terra definitely took the nastiest encounter in terms of the obstacles it presents.

...though facing a swarm of rodent pokemon in complete darkness that's impervious to FLASH isn't exactly a walk in the park either.
