[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

I've got two normal ones in crystal-form and that pretty orchid that has the same effect, that one's reserved for her own Pokemon. Cotton Guard, Barrier and various lifestealing moves also reduce the danger of fainting on my side.

Don't you too got one Revive Orchid from Primal Lurantis? I actually can't remember for 100% certainity, but I guess he were there too when we visted Their Grove?

While Spira did make the pledge, he never directly asked for the flowers, so I'm unsure if he actually got them.

I would believe 'Making a pledge' = 'Here is a bouquet of orchids that will help you', but it's GM's discretion. @Iron, what's correct now?

Terra's got 4 Revives and 1 Hurtloam, so he's fine when it comes to rezes for the time being!

Onto another topic, I think that anyway we dice it, we're going to have to confront whatever is behind those doors UNLESS Iron says its okay we just dig right pass the blasted place and into the Chambers with Anige/Ditto/Maybe the Scims help. Personally, I'd just go for the direct 'Break down the doors' Route and get out Pokemon pre-buffed before doing so (IF Digging past is not an option), then enter into the place with either Pixie and Edmundi or Mikey and Solomon for maximum team support/Status Cripple and grinding out Heal Pulse (For Terra) . Going around the gate seems like the 'Easy path to Hell' to me, and its only accessible by fliers/people able to scale the wall, of which Angie, Ditto, and only a select few others can managed to pull off quickly and/or stealthy enough. Plus, going the direct route means less time faffing about with planning and just get straight to buffing and beating, which is always a refreshing change of pace after dealing with tricky Encounters!

That's just me, though. What's your opinions on going forward, mates?

I think the best way forward might be 'safety in numbers' in this case.  If we split up, that might make it harder to beat a powerful Spiritomb if they encounter Group A while Group B isn't around.

As stated, I don't think it particularly matters which way we enter.  Calam is growling at the entire Barrow, not any one part of it.

I see two main options for entering the Barrow:

a) Bust down the door.  Likely to immediately alert all nearby hostiles, but is quick and easy. If buffing before the battle is allowed, then that could be another plus.
b) Try to sneak in through a collapsed wall.  Might allow us to avoid some enemies if we're stealthy/careful enough. The main danger might be unavoidable, though.

I don't really have one in this case, would actually like to hear what Spira/@Mikaruge108's viewpoint and opinion is, for in-chara reasons and because Cosh asked 'em directly here.

I don't mind if you dig down. Cosh has something to mention about that plan though: "If we do that, be careful. Our sonar detected strange minerals surrounding the caverns. With Rock Smash and Dig you could maybe do it."

Welp, we can Dig down and avoid whatever hububalo is behind those doors, but it sounds like doing so runs a similar risk to the time Ven dug by himself in Mt. Sentry. So now the choices are:

- Bust down the doors with a fully prepared party, and raise some cain against whatever is behind there (If anything - Iron could be tricking us, you never know....)
- Sneak in over/through the opennings in the wall.
- Just Dig past the dang doors and into the Chambers with Dig and ROCK SMASH.

Options #1 is direct and straightforward, but we're pretty much going to be stuck duking it out with whatever is lurking within in a straight up Fight, which may or may not be the most advantageous thing.

Options #2 could let us bypass It and/or just get an Ambush in, but if caught and/or those 'easy ways' are trapped, then IT gains the advantage. What's not helping this plan is that Terra and Spira (I think) are not the Stealthiest characters, and I don't think the Earth Scimitars are the most discrete bunch of individuals either (That seems to be more of the Water Scims stick), so that is something that needs considering too.

Options #3 completely bypasses whatever dangers lay beyond those doors, but in the process the group will have to deal with different kind of enigmatic problem instead. Given the nature of the Kadabra Chambers, I doubt it's going to be any much better than dealing with a Legendary Spiritomb, but then again, Legendary Spiritomb.....

Which Options do you think the group should go with, mates? I'm leaning towards #1 or #3, but if force to choose I go with #3.

I open to Options 3. We need to save items and energy for the incoming battle against Deoxys, so it would more preferable avoid the danger. With Quetzel and Angie dig abilities and using Rock smashes, we may get another path. In case we get in trouble, Doublade and Quetzel/Gustav would be my choices against any foe lurking in the shadows.
