[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
(05-20-2019, 08:22 AM)Mikaruge108 Wrote: Spira, not sure what to do when Shiva hugs him, awkwardly returns the hug, "Yeah, I'm sure you can have this Mismagius, it might be a bit more ornery than a normal Mismagius, but I'm sure you can handle it," he then whispers this next part, "after all, it seems like you have a similar fire and spirit to her." "As for why its hot, I think its some sort of Mystical Fire type thing that was doing when I accidentally disturbed the group of Mismagius." She'd hear more about what happens if she's listening when Spira explains what more or less happened with them to Nathan.

Because hugs are Shiva's way to show honest joy and (friendshippy) affection - or in Spira's case, admiration - , she's happy that the hug returned, even awkwardly. ^_^  But being soft-compared to her, if her assumption who Spira's meaning by that is correct, practically nails it. "N-not at all!", she calls out while simultaneously trying to hide her faint blush and punching the spectral Breeder on the shoulder, "By no means I... Eh.... BUT I can take her strong ambition and valor as example, such boldness...!!" Then Shiva instantly grows sad and nostalgic over what unfortunately happened when she overestimated herself and why disaster way too often hits such great people. "I'm sorry what...happened eventually", she more mutters than says.

Mystical Fire is a great move that Shiva enjoys a lot, leading her to take the Ball the witchy ghost's contained in into her own hands with some Cottonee Fluff serving as protection. "Thank you, again... *eager smile* I'll work on gaining the trust and liking of this special Mismagius in the long shot! But not now nor here, probably once this adventure is over..." She sends them to Bill's PC for now.

"And you...really really don't want anything in return? Anything...? *sudden gasp and rummaging in her stuff* Maybe I can at least lend this Hard Stone to you while we're down these Ruins, maybe your dear hatcher can...hold it."

For real?! Cool. That's a good compromise that keeps a good portion of my Signature Move-feelings for Delphox's Mystical Fire alive. I also wonder what the heck is actually possible for that Mismagius at 8*Insight.

The word KEYSTONE written on the arch only makes Shiva much more interested in what's behind this weird door, but first she got a question towards Cosh as she wishes for reassurance: "Cosh, are you SURE we definitely need to get through this door to reach a tunnel you're pointing out? What makes you so sure, and where will that tunnel lead us again, you've said? Is there no other path to reach the same destination?"

"Thank you, I'll put it to good use." For the time being, it's handed to Nubi.

K E Y S T O N E.

When Spira hears 'Keystone', chills run down his back, as there is only one thing that comes to mind, and it is not good! He grabs Cosh by the back of his Scimitar garb (hooded cloak, right?) and  says "I don't know if we should go in there, I've got a bad feeling about it."

As a reminder, Nathan's the only (human) member of this group that can actually read that text because it's written in Elder Unown (unless the Scims suddenly learned how to translate that ancient, jagged script).  He'd tell everyone what it says by reading it aloud, though. Maybe Nathan ends up surprising some of the Scims with how quickly and easily he's able to read and translate the old text.

"...this is definitely what might be considered an ideal 'breeding' ground for that species...plenty of spirits to be found in mass graves...if I may make a suggestion, if we have to go in there, I think we should probably avoid busting down the door.  That'd be rather...loud.  And might increase the chances that we disturb more than we probably should...one of the walls appears to have collapsed, so we should be able to enter through there."

(I've been auto-assuming Nathan would read that one word aloud for everyonelse, because why wouldn't he?)

Shiva's still semi-glued to that strange door to listen to these ghosts/lost souls/spirits muttering behind it, she's actually finding it very fascinating. She's so concentrating on trying to understand what they're saying that it's dawning in her mind a little later than usual (but luckily still early enough = before massive disaster happens)

When it does, she IMMEDIATELY flinches away from that door, Yena and Azu following, and simultaneously leaps to Spira's side who has just pulled Cosh away. She'll whisper to him a "Could it indeed be that... an exemplar of THESE creatures lurks behind this door? There are voices, muttering behind the door...."

By no means Shiva now wants to smack the door to pieces. >o<; When Nathan mentions the collapsed door, she moves her gaze to muster it and gives him an encouraging "Good call, yes." She also carefully voiced what her gut feeling is telling her: "Regardless which way we take, I fear we will...awake IT'S wrath or attention either way or in some way." Now she's also much more interested in what Cosh answers to the questions she asked him (those in an upper post of mine).

"If there is a more safer path, perhaps we should take. After all, we have 0 idea what we gonna face ahead. And we need to safe energy and items to stop the Calamity."

And in the case the Scimitars stab us on the back. That was what Heart wanted to say, but he didnt say that last part. Not with Cosh and the other Scims so much close to them.

"But in case we have no other choice, can't we simple destroy that Door with Strengh? Gendry here broke a Golurk statue with his Gautlet Strengh. Maybe we could do that with some of your Scimitars and then we can use our Pokemon to make a ambush against whatever is inside. Just like that time you guys did that Reuniclus ambush on us. Thank about that one bad time by the way."

"I believe so, they are capable of speech."

Spira then relays to the others that (probably) haven't/won't figure it out that he believes that there most likely is a Spiritomb in that chamber, and that if they do proceed through the chamber, that they do so with the utmost caution.

"I don't know that we need specifically go through the door itself. We could go through one of the holes in the walls. But we must enter the tomb, for it guards the nearest entrance to the Kadabra Chambers."

"Spira, get hold of yourself. We are many, and we can handle a lot of ghosts or traps between us."

"A Spiritomb? Well, that might be different... Creshirean Spiritomb can become rather powerful... What preparations would you suggest we make, and would you prefer to enter through the archway the Keystone was part of, or go around into the same general area? Either way, we must enter."

Humm, this is basically the reassurance Shiva needed, it's a clear and creepy fact to her now that they must face IT in some way or the other if they want to progress, if she herself wishes to become a wieder of one of the Artifacts. "Thanks for that information, Cosh."

When he voices some (honest?) words of encouragement to Spira, she gives him an acknowledging glance and the a calm and bold one to Spira himself that clearly speaks 'I told you can count on me and my fairies, all together we should be able to do it.'

Seeing as Terra is mostly ignorant of Pokemon not native to his region, he's naturally curious/a bit mystified about what Nathan/Cosh were referring too, or why everyone in the group (particularly Spira, who's attitude immediately shifted into some sort of dread panic) was suddenly having second thoughts about breaching the tomb.

"Keystone? Spiritomb? What are those? Sound.....ominous."

Presumably either Nathan, Spira, and/or Cosh tells him exactly what the bundle of bad omens is, and his demeanor shift into one remarkably similar to the retro breeder's: tense, anxious, fearful, and overall having a bad feeling about entering the place now. Thank Nature that he had the good sense not to charge/fly into the place blindly, for that would have been a brutally awful surprise for him and his magic master of a partner!

".....Ah. Spiritomb like Sableyes, but worse. Need LOTS of Fairy and Dark types to take of it, then. Edmundi can Swagger buff our Pokemon without boosting Move, and can use Wide Guard to block. Can also bring out Mikey to put it to Sleep and Paralyze it quickly, so we all can take it out more safely. Hm...."

As for entering the tomb itself and Nathan's idea, the sagely monk has these suggestion:

"Maybe we can split up? One group can break down door and attract attention of Pokemon inside, and other group can go through opening and Ambush them while they are.....distracted? Hm....or could have Angie and Ditto Dig our way past tomb and straight into Kadabra Chambers, to avoid.......Keystone trouble, if possible? *Shakes head* Don't know which is best....answer to problem, but Cosh is right: we need to get past here to move on. So....which way do we use?"

When Terra posits this idea, Spira says, "That sounds like a good plan, catch it in a pincer attack, and take it down. The question is, how should we split up to do that? I for one am in favor of the Scimitars playing 'bait'"
