[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Nathan gives Charizard the Brandy he got from beating Howl to restore the Dragon's energy (9/9 HP now).  Not sure if giving a fire type alcohol is necessarily a good idea, but...desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess?  Nathan needs Charizard to be in tip top shape since he's the only reliable spread move user that he brought.

"We'll check this room next.  If we can find Luxray, he can find my dad.  This is the best lead we've got so far.  Be prepared to face something winged.  And who knows how many more Kadabra.  Let's see if we can enter quietly, try to get the drop on whatever's in there, if not outright avoid getting into another fight."

Nathan's in 'take charge' mode at the moment.  This is his mission primarily.  His goal.

"Everyone make sure you're patched up, just in case.  I doubt this will be easy.  Once we're all ready, we go."

Particularly if there's even fewer trainers in the room than there were in this one...

@Spiritmon and @Mikaruge108, are you guys ready?  There won't be time to heal once we start.

Oh, and Nathan will actually hand the Baashaun Boots to Spira to use.  "You probably need them more than I do.  Wearing those should help quiet your movements a little." (+1 dice for Stealth checks.  Just make sure to give them back to Shiva when you're done with them!)

"Before we go, can you two Heal Pulse a few times Quetzal? And is anyone has a extra Revive to bring Gustav back? Please?"

(I asked the same thing about Hida, and Iron said here that it could be done safely, considering that it'd probably be more dangerous with Hida, I'm assuming it'd be safe to do so for Charizard)
Ready whenever.
Spira accepts the boots and slips them on, (probably safe to assume he's told IC that they belong to Shiva) he says, "I'll be sure to return them to her."

Nathan will use a Revive Orchid (which should Revive with half HP) on Gustav and ask Gallade to use one Heal Pulse on Quetzal as well.  Depending on how much that heals, he might also spend some Berry Juice on patching Quetzal up further.

"If you have any Brandy or Lemonade, I'd use that on Gustav now if you intend to use him.  Try to avoid getting your pokemon KOed if you can avoid it, please.  We're going to burn through our resources quickly if we continue at the pace we're currently going. And definitely avoid getting KOed yourself if you can." (That latter half applies to everyone, of course. The less often everyone gets KOed, the better).

Heal Pulse:
(1)(4)(3)(4)(6)(2) (6) = +4 HP for Quetzal.

You creep into the next room. Stealth time.

Spira: (4)(4)(2)(5)(4)(2) (3)(6)(2)(2)
Heart: (6)(3)(5)(5)(3)(4) (4)(5)(3)(3)
Nathan: (5)(5)(3)(6)(2)(3) (2)(3)(2)(3)(6)(3) (6)

Everyone passes.

The next room is cobwebbed with MSC in crystalline structures. There must be a hundred distinct mini-domes, each networked together in series. Kadabra are at work up there, gesturing, and you can see colorful light flowing through the crystals.

The room is the one on Nathan's map marked "Pokemon Training Area." There are many little hollows that may have once held animal beds or cages, a few iron bars still intact. You see a vast steel jungle gym, mostly pitted with rust, and very occupied by Pokemon. There are a couple Kadabra under there, digging a hole. Unown perch on the joints. Below them, strange birds like cave paintings are roosting upside down. These are the Sigilyph who used to guard the palace grounds - to this day they still patrol the area silently.

The Kadabra don't look up, but all the Sigilyph swivel their heads in your direction. Two dispatch themselves in your direction.

You'll have to sneak around to get to the buttons that can release Pokemon. Nathan does identify a few possibilities for Marco's Luxray or Skarmory or Feraligatr based on the color of the light in the natural Capture Webs.

Kadabra Chamber II Encounters  - everyone pick a unique encounter

1. Name: Sigilyph x2
Reward: One person has to take this encounter to gain access to the chamber.

2. Name: Rusty cage containing unseen Pokemon
Reward: Luxray button?

3. Name: Unown Swarm
These are a mix of modern and Elder Unown blocking the way to one of the buttons.
Reward: Luxray button?

4. Name: Meowing noise
Reward: Skarmory button?

5. Name: Crystal traps and puzzles
Reward: Feraligatr button?

1. There's still no sign of Marco, but you have the distinct feeling his Pokemon are indeed here.
2. If you don't use particularly loud moves in combat/exploration, I won't reroll stealth. You can keep your current rolls.
3. It's fine to finish healing during selection, but no other prep allowed.

After the heal of Gustav, Heart decided to investigate the side of the room with Rusty cages with unseen Pokemon. Maybe there is some kind of clue about Nathan father or his Pokemon.

But he decided to go in Stealth mode since he can't afford use so many items. He is also alert to any dangers.

Nathan takes one look at that swarm of Unown and decides to steer clear of it for now.  Charizard is his only pokemon with a spammable spread move at the moment.  If they get spotted by the Kadabra and Charizard gets too hurt...he'll be in trouble.

When Heart indicates that he's going to go for the button near the rusty cage, Nathan simply nods and indicates he'll go for the one near where the meowing noise is coming from.

He kinda doubts that meowing is his dad's Meowstic's.

At least he's reasonably certain that Feraligatr's here with Luxray and Skarmory. That's more than Nathan can say for Machamp, Meowstic, and that Piloswine that he knows his dad had been wanting to evolve for ages...

In any case, though...Heart's going for one of the buttons that might be connected to freeing Luxray, so Nathan's slightly more comfortable with leaving that job to Heart for now.

If he can get to Skarmory, they might have a fast way out of here.  And in addition, Skarmory might even be a super useful pokemon to have around if they're confronted by a large number of wild pokemon thanks to Air Cutter...

...though the odds of Marco's pokemon listening to anyone besides Marco and maybe Nathan are definitely rather low...Luxray in particular has a chance of being a little...aggressive if he thinks Marco's in trouble...the Gleam Eyes pokemon has always been rather protective of his trainer, making sure he doesn't get into too much trouble (again), after all...

...being trapped down here and separated from Marco is probably killing Luxray.  Nathan hopes that Luxray won't raise too much of a fuss once he's free...

...for now, though, Nathan's going to worry about Skarmory instead.  If Luxray raises a fuss, then he'll just have to join in.  Better to have backup in case that happens...and Skarmory would certainly be very good backup to have...
