[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Solosis is eligible again. Any Pokemon who was out long enough to do a move is always eligible.
Solosis evolves by size and it's looking to be close! It needs more food and/or more XP.


Arachnautilus has gone back to normal human shape by now, but she just turns her head from Nathan.


Luxray perks up when you mention Piloswine - must be good news of some kind?
But quite the opposite when you mention Machamp. Luxray looks exceedingly dour and paws the ground nervously.

Yay!  That's a pretty fast evolution considering she hasn't been in more than two battles, lol. It's going to be really nice when she evolves.

Speaking of Scims...I noticed a distinct lack of Kelda, Gendry, and Elya in that encounter.  Though Kelda didn't exactly do or say much while Nathan was freeing Skarm and talking with Meowstic, either, so...



Nathan has a guess for what Luxray's perkiness concerning Piloswine means.  "...did they evolve, Luxray?  I mean, that's my best guess for why my dad would have brought them here..."

And as for Machamp...Nathan can't help but nervously inquire.  "...Luxray, was Machamp okay when you last saw them?  They didn't..."  Nathan doesn't want to say what's on the tip of his tongue.  Machamp's a tough cookie.  It'd take more than a few Psychic types to bring him down, right?

...though granted, the Kadabra Chambers are filled with more than 'a few' Psychic types...

Nathan hugs Luxray again.  To comfort both the lion and himself...it's hard to hold back the tears.  That would be the second pokemon that the Warrens have lost to the dreadful Skull Ruins for one reason or another...though Marco and his pokemon don't know about Forthright yet...

Gallade hangs his head as well.

After a moment of silence, while still hugging Luxray, Nathan quietly asks one more question.  "...dad's still okay though, right?  And Piloswine?  Or Mamoswine I guess..."

Heart was there looking this scene speechless, without very much to say...Rose feel the currently stat of spirit from Heart (because of the strong conection both of them had for years of bonding and also Jirachi Bless) and release herself from the Pokeball. They approach Nathan, and just like he and Gallade help him stand up and not fall in despair, each of them put a hand on Nathan shoulder, and send some little warm heat, so simbolize where there is life, there is hope. And they gonna take everyone out of this place. Toegether.

Terra was busy fixing dinner/setting up camp at the time the above scene occured, not wanting to linger around Nathan for the time being (out of guilt for leaving him with his burden/without his help), but he was still paying attention to the boy and his heartfelt/sad reunion with his dad's Pokemon. Seeing Luxuray more or less confirm that one of them, a Machamp, fell.....

He stopped what he was doing to bow his head, folded his hands together, and offered a prayer to the fallen warrior, loud enough for everyone to hear it if they so wish:

"Machamp, brave fighter
Used strength to defend Marco
To their very end

Machamp, righteous man
Let you be honored and known
Stand tall in next life

Machamp, caring soul
We shall take up your duty
Saving Marco
And protecting his son.

Machamp...may you be at peace now."

Once he was finished, he went quietly back to work, his expression composed but saddened. While he did not know the Pokemon in question, a life lost was a life lost, and it was to be mourned, remember, and cherished with as much dignity and ability one could afford.

Nathan's silent the entire time Terra's offering his prayer.  He doesn't respond to Heart and Roses' comforting gestures, but the support is appreciated all the same.

"...we'll find my dad, Luxray.  That's one of the reasons we're here, after all...I don't want us to lose anyone else..."

Nathan spends the rest of the evening attending to his dad's pokemon.  Making sure they're getting enough food to eat, catching up with them, comforting and reassuring them when necessary, introducing them to his own pokemon...

...he also needs the time to process what's happened, quite frankly.

His dad's still in here somewhere, though.  And presumably has Pilo...no, probably Mamowine now...with him still.  Nathan needs to keep believing that his dad's okay.

Besides, they have Luxray, a pokemon with a hunter's instincts and the ability to see through walls, with them now.  They can surely find Marco with the help of his closest partner.  Right?

Calam's taking it real easy right now.  He needs the rest if he's going to be in top form tomorrow.  He's also a little more cuddly than usual for Nathan.  He knows what it's like to lose a friend.  Being beaten within inches of your own life can't even compare to that pain.  It's so much more long lived...

Gallade's watching Kelda (and the rest of the Scims, but mostly Kelda) carefully.  He knows she's sympathetic to some of what's happening, but how sympathetic is she to this situation?  It's not just Nathan and Marco who are suffering here.  The pokemon are as well.

Emolga's out and about, and once again quieter than he usually is once Nathan's informed him about what happened.  If anything, this only increases his resolve to help Nathan in this task.  They're one step closer...but for now, he's taking a little time to socialize with Marco's pokemon as well.  He's definitely curious to meet some of them after hearing some of what Nathan knows about them, as well as after all the work it took to free them from their confinement...

Tonight, everyone rests up and prepares themselves for the challenges ahead, physically and mentally...

Tomorrow morning, the search for Marco Warren continues.

Shiva doesn't do much this...'evening' - she doesn't even know whether it's really evening or night outside, there's no such thing like a day/night cycle down the Ruins and this Chambers. All she relies on are the time her cell provides and her + her Pokemon's inner biorythm, kinda like she did as the group ventured down Mount Sentry - this time however, Shiva's confident that she won't suffer the same issues about the lack of sun- and daylight like she did during that trip; she has matured and she's having Raphael's full attention and comfort by her side.

She herself lets Nathan have his space and peace with his and his dad's Pokemon, but silently gestures the archangel to fly over to and sing for him for additional compassion and quiet support. His message of 'Dontcha loose hope now!~' is clear. She'll take a few minutes in between dinner to send a silent prayer to Machamp and light a candle for their soul, the latter she'll keep burning within a nice tealight holder as long as she's keeping nightwatch.

During that time she's having Yena/Azu/Raphael out and with her, all to smell/hear/scout any nearby threats that may see their camp as easy prey. Her mind's vivid and alerted as the natural fae enthusiast's heavily on guard of any of these creatures/powers a pact can be made with, she doesn't want to be taken by suprise by any of these 'things'.

Oh, something Shiva also does is dusting a shard of Moonglass (one from the batch she got from Angela in return for the pink Pachirisu) and offer it to Lilith in her share of food. "You see these sparkling pieces in it, my dear? That's coming from a glass shard associated with the moon itself! (･ω<)☆ It shall help you grow and feel empowered, enjoy."

What do you do with all the fainted Kadabra? Luxray is whining urgently at them.

That metal door that seperated the first Chamber from the second - it's not directly broken but 'only' unhinged, is it? Would it work if all of us would carry all the fainted Kadabra into the first Chamber and then Shiva would repair and lock the door while staying in the second Chamber? With her skill in crafting and repairing things, I'd guess she'd be able to do it or it'd at least trigger a roll. That way, they can't reach the second Chamber at last, unless they are able to freely teleport between the Chambers.

All of this of course with our Pokemon's help, like Lilith lifting the heavy door with a well-placed Telekinesis, the physically strongest Pokemon among us holding it into place and Azu lending a helping hand to Shiva.
