[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(06-04-2019, 06:13 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Wait, better. How about Solid Rock? To reduce super effective attacks to 1 thanks to such ability. Or Serene Grace to increase Status Chance? Or maybe Lighting Rod to make him immune to Eletric types? Or maybe Stamina who make him increase Defense by 1 Stage when receive damage, being the contrary of Weak Armor?

Stamina is a Gen 7 Ability (the signature Ability of Mudbray and Mudsdale), so that probably isn't going to happen.

You're being quite Wishiwashi about this decision, Spirit...

I'll allow it outside of battle. But the Binding Pokemon has to remain present.

Could the Scims weave some blocking effects together like they did with Keni instead?  That was the primary application I was thinking of.

Definitely. Might take a couple hours but nbd.

I told him he could propose abilities for Mega Delta Steelix since I didn't have one in mind.

Regarding Delta Steelix's Mega Ability, I think either Strong Jaw, Lightning Rod, or Intimidate are good options. It doesn't really need Solid Rock/Filter since it doesn't have any 4X weaknesses, and its not the sort of Pokemon I would EVER consider Serenely Graceful. That's just my opinion, though, and it all comes down to Iron in the end, so that is that.

Lets see...Strong Jaw add 1 Dice Damage to any of the bite moves. And D-Steelix will already get a boost in its Mega Form. The dice damage would be more or less like with the 3 fang moves:

Power(2)+STR(6*)+Strong Jaw(1)=9D6 Base Damage.

A Fang Move with 9D6 of damage. A real force to reconize. And lets not forget he also maintain the other secondary effects of cause 2D6 of Flinch and 2D6 to cause Burn, Freeze or paralyze.

And Crunch gain even more power:

Power(3)+STR(6*)+Strong jaw(1)=10D6

Yeah, such simple ability, and yet with many possibilites. I know there is also the vitality of the foe to be consider, but this move can cause lots of problems against foes. Imagine a Ice Fang with 9D6 of damage with separated dices to cause Freeze or Flinch? Thats freaking insane!
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

I thought of another possible Mega Ability for Delta Steelix: Sheer Force. You can choose to give up the Chance Dice of a Move for an Action (Or All of them), and it gains + 2 Damage Dice in exchange. Quetzal has a lot of Moves that could benefit from it, including some of their Steel and Flying STABs for even MORE power. Of course, Chance Dice effects and the Damage Boost are mutually exclusive unlike with Strong Jaw , so if you want to deal damage and debuffs at the cost of said damage buff being more limited, then go with SJ. That, and since Quetzal has to hold a Delta Steelixnite to Mega Evolve, they can't even use Life Orb for even more Damage and none of its downsides, so SF being a Mega Ability might be a poor choice synergistically wise.

Mega Camerupt pulls it off just fine.

Fair enough point! Still makes me wish  Sheer Force Pokemon could always have a LO equipped to them in order to get that sweet sweet double boosting without punishment, but thems the breaks.

...me have three guesses:
1 - Kadabra father is still alive and he is just fainted.
2 - He is in another place in the Chambers but it is hide.
3 - ....Get eat by Feraghtar Crunch onslaught.
