[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

"...yeah, a pokemon doesn't usually mind.  But what about a human transformed into a pokmon?  We have no idea how any of these Kadabra might react to that if they regained their human memories."

He points downward with his nose.

"...okay.  We'll just have to keep an eye out for them, then.  Hopefully they'll recognize us..."

Just to test it, Shiva would nudge one of the tied and fainted Kadabra that are not dad with a normal Pokeball, if her guess is correct, it should be sucked into the Ball all normally.

".....Could have Marco carried on Angie or Edmuni. Tie them up and keep under watch, if he still wants to.....harm us all, or escape."

Terra abruptly suggest this as he looks over at the two and then what was most likely Marco in Kadabra, interjecting his own idea into conversation between Shiva and Nathan. Dense as he was, he could tell and understand the though of Capturing your parent and keeping them Balled up was most unsettling idea for multiple reasons, and he could tell the young intellectual held that opinion. By offering his suggestion, it would bypass that issue entirely, sparing any awkwardness on his part and any more strife between his friends, so he thought it was simple but great idea.

Sure, it meant that they had to keep Marco prisoner if he didn't cooperate, but that also had the plus side of them not being Balled and forcing Nathan/one of the group to have to send a Pokemon of their's back to the PC to make room for him. Then again, Evolving him into a Alakazam might restore his memories, which can only be done if he is caught and Traded.

Hm.....decisions decisions....

Yep. It rolls the usual Will save and gets sucked in, maybe after a couple tries.

Yay! No need to roll whether the capture succeeds, this was just a test and Shiva doesn't intend to really catch any of the Kadabra.

Shiva would rather put a parent into a Pokeball where they're safe and well than carry them tied up on the back of a Pokemon like a hostage, but that's probably personal taste and preferance. Still, Terra's suggestion is a good one which earns him an approving look from the natural fae enthusiast.

BUT does Shiva feel positive in her guess that evolving Marcodabra further will help refreshing his human memories, Iron? I feel positive about that, and Shiva has raised a Alakazam from an Abra herself so she should actually know.

Well, you're right that Alakazam are a lot more intelligent. You aren't sure how it would work with old memories of being human, since that's unprecedented.

"So we potentially have one of two choices; we either trade-evolve the Kadabra that we think is Marco, hoping that he has some of his human memories, or tie him up and bring him out, where we could better identify if it is indeed him." Spira scratches his beard, thinking, "I'd prefer the second option, as it'd most likely be able to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that we're correct, but we don't have the time for that. Besides, we don't know if it would recover his memories to begin with, but then again, we won't know until we try, leaving us in a lose-lose situation." (I would have used the phrase catch-22, but that'd be a slight anachronism) "All in all I think the final decision on whether or not we attempt the evolution should fall to Nathan."

A few notes on some things:

- Since I didn't respond to it earlier, yes, Nathan would have said to Terra that his idea was a pretty good one.  Possibly also suggested a few improvements/alternatives to make it work a little better if needed.

- Nathan doesn't say anything out loud, but he's rather...shocked at how casually Shiva just takes a pokeball and uses it on one of the Kadabra that used to be human.  Does she not find that awkward or uncomfortable at all???  He's not sure he'll ever understand her way of thinking, to be honest...

- Nathan would make sure to take ALL the Twisted Spoons from every single one of these KOed Kadabra (which should be 27 total if I did my math right).  Partially because they're rare hold items, but mostly so the Kadabra aren't able to use the spoons themselves.  To quote Bulbapedia/the Pokedex:

Quote:Kadabra holds a silver spoon in its hand. The spoon is used to amplify the alpha waves in its brain. Without the spoon, the Pokémon is said to be limited to half the usual amount of its telekinetic powers.

- Nathan's still uncertain about the whole 'let's capture and trade Marco' thing.  Yeah, that's an option, but isn't there another thing they can try? Terra's suggestion isn't bad either, but he'd rather do something about his dad NOW rather than later if at all possible...

That's when he thinks of another possible angle they could approach this problem from.

"...Heart (@Spiritmon), you've been working on your Earthpower abilities, right?  Think you could maybe apply them here, see if there's something you could do?  This is kinda similar to a curse, right?"

Heart thinks for a few seconds, until he nod his head in agreement. ''I supose I can try seeing how these Kadabras have used those Crystals made me understand at least a little how they turn people and pokemon to their ranks. I can't promise a miracle, but I can at least try."

After saying such words, Heart approach Kadabra who is suppose to be Marco Warren. Heart take some deep breaths, trying to concentrate the Earthpower within him.

He could feel the power of this place as part of himself...Increasing Earthpower Skill to 5 using 24 XP @Iron.

"Well...its all or nothing I guess. Lets see if all the medidation and training have done results. Moltres, give me strengh. Please." He put his hands close to Kadabra, and close his eyes, trying to focus the Earthpower within him.

Action: Using the max out Earthpower to try break the Curse of Marco Warren and turn him back to human form.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.
