[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

I never really said Nathan was okay with it.  He's just not going to argue the point right now.  Quite frankly, the fact that Cosh was able to get more scims so quickly is rather...concerning.

I don't really have any more to add to the current scene at this point in time.

I personally don't mind giving up the right to wield an Artifact in the final fight against Deoxys, so long as Terra gets the chance to either wield one of the group's Two during and/or After the Ruins/Dexoys Fight. The Shield in particular interests me, since Terra is the one with a natural * 6 Vitality and he's a natural defender, so he's probably the one that has the greatest requirements to actually use it. Since they're 5 of us, we'll have to designate which two members get to wield the Artifacts during the Deoxys Battle, and in the Ruins we'll probably have to rotate who gets what and when. That's neither here nor there, though, so let's just focus on getting the Artifacts first and THEN decide the nitty gritty around them.

One problem: according to Cosh, when somebody wields one of these Artifacts, it bonds with them, and it bonds with them FAST, thus making it difficult to simply give it to another or steal it from the wielder.

Quote:I just want to drop a reminder that not everyone is going to be able to wield one.  Yes, I know that most of our characters want to wield one for one reason or another.  There aren't enough of them for everyone to get one, though.  Even more so now that the Scims are probably going to end up with two of them, much to Nathan's displeasure...

I know that very vividly myself, and this is exactly why I've emphasized so heavily on Shiva ending up to wield one. It's THE climax of her very own hero's journey that changes for positive how she sees herself compared to the others of the group and if I'd be, well, disappointed in you @Iron if you'd end up denying me and her this or at least let her play a key role in saving the region - her self-esteem just needs this. :C We've discussed and agreed on her Hero's Journey long ago, and there needs to be an event that serves as the point where her way of looking at herself is thrown upsidedown completely, something that various 'smaller'events can't do - there must be some sort of critical turning point.

Please forgive if I sound harsh or offensive - that's nothing I am unless protecting + defending something that holds a special importance to me, but I still wish to make my point as clear as it can be as early as possible to prevent unneeded drama later.

EDIT: Ah, and @Lord Windos, Iron said he's busy due to volunteer work at the theatre and there are delays to be expected - I understand you want to progress and I do like to do so too, but lets still try to not overrun things and end up in scenarios we could have prevented, shall we? Let us have GM introduce and start things or let us directly know what to do/how we an progress and then we can look further, okay?

Condoning the decision is good enough for me and Iron, so moving on is a go-go then!

I and Terra are also concerned about the sudden influx of Scims, but for now we're putting that aside to focus on dealing with the very obvious threat of the Ruins first. If the Scims decides to backstab, then he'll be only screwing himself over down the line regardless of the outcome, so that should keep him from pulling something until at least the group either Rounds up all the Artifacts or we get back to the surface. They're fair weather friends, the Scimitars are, but given the dangers of the dead place we're in they'll be very hard pressed in what they can feasibly do to us without major consequences.

I don't think that's fair to put Iron on the spot like that, Phantom.

..... *Sighs* .....then we'll decide who gets to wield the first Artifact when we get it to it. We have plenty of time to decide such things with ourselves and each other. Like I said, I don't mind giving it up if it means less problems/time being wasted, so if I can't get the chance to use one, then so be it.

Also, I agree with ya about Phantom, sad as I to say. You should pressure them like that, dear, as that's just being a bit pushy and unfair towards them and the rest of us players.

Hence why I felt a need to reemphasize the point 'not everyone will get to wield one'.

I know that, my dear, but all the same I don't want to be in the Regal Chambers for to long, which seems to be what's going to happen if we keep bringing up stuff to do in our current local that could be resolved in the next. That, and I don't think that there is ANYTHING that could go wrong with us just moving on right now after Phantom finishes her business with the Art Card/Ratfiti (sooner rather than later, preferably). The GM can't move on anyway unless we're all ready to and say so, and even then they can delay for as long as possible if necessary to get IRL stuff done and/or get the next scene set up right , so waiting around without first getting EVERYTHING finished is not productive for anyone. Right?

If Heart had to choose a Artefact, I would choose the sword. Heart ancestor warn him about find a sword to be the first step in restored the ArcHeart clan. It is also fitting for the knight theme. Me also don't trust the Scims and they will betray us in the first chance
