[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
I meant Attributes, sorry.
The power is 1. It increases Str by 2 if you get the kill.

I'm honestly kinda surprised you decided to get rid of Heavy Slam, Windos, given that it's just as powerful as a standard Head Smash with Terra's Steel Blessing.

Heck, Heavy Slam would have been just as effective on that Bug/Rock Genesect without the risk of Recoil, but ah well...

Gotcha!

Remembered another few important questions, now that I had a few more minutes to think:

- Can HMs be used to 'modify' Arete? They'll semi - Plot Devices in of themselves, so I'm wondering if the baby Legend can actually learn anything from them. If not, could he be modified so that he can learn them?
- Could other people in the group/the Scimitars help him modify/improve Arete? While Terra is a terrific 'chemist' and rather clever when it comes to battling, actual building and designing stuff....less so. Shiva and Nathan could greatly help him there, and if the Scimitars are willing to cough up some tech/assistance to beef up a Legend that could make things easier for them that would be great too!
- I DO have one idea for a modification that Terra could concievably do on his own, though, and I'ld like to run it by you: could he mount some kind of skate/tread system on its legs to boost it Movement Speed and/or Initiative, and enable it to learn Extreme Speed later on?
- Does the same restrictions of using an Aegislash in battle apply to Arete? (IE: Restrictions on what Trainer Battles it can take part in?)

It was either getting rid of Heavy Slam, or getting rid of Iron Head, and I choose to keep the later since it has arguably more consistent Damage and that 3D6 Chance to Flinch. Between Steel Blessing and STAB, their's only a 2 BP difference at best between those Steel Moves, and Flinching at any opportunity can do more harm to them than pure Damage. Not an easy choice by any means, but I shall live with it none the less.

As for it doing the same Damage on DMG's Drones, I didn't and couldn't know how much they actually weighed and figured that floating stonework would probably be heavy enough to blunt HS's BP, so I went with the 'safer' bet in Head Smash (for a given value of safe).

What does Nathan think of this all, btw? He probably would be quite interested in this development, to say the least.

One step ahead of ya, buddy.

Though granted, Nathan's trying not to outwardly show what he's REALLY thinking right now.

He can learn TMs and HMs as normal. They won't alter his form, though - you need to add stuff.

It doesn't have to be Terra himself, of course. You could sell it to Almanac and they could modify it, even. You'll need access to an actual lab though. Making a speedy Genesect would be fun!
This kind of thing will be very expensive, btw.

Legendaries are actually allowed in battle but only if you warn your opponent first. It's considered more like sparring. The same rule applies even though Genesect is not a fully plot-deviced Pokemon.

Ugh, now that I've started thinking about it, though, now I can't help but ask this question:

Is there anything Syrentide could do for Machamp?  Or is that a bit to much?

If you could find the body, she could heal it back to life for a more expensive price than Leigh.

Alright! I can teach it ROCK SMASH then, and later Surf and Dive most likely!!

Hahahaha NO. I'll sooner eat my own arm than sell it to ANYONE, as having a Loyal Legendary Pokemon is literally priceless so far as I am concerned!

I actually consider that one my cheaper idea, as one the other one I have is installing some sort of tank and hose system on their back/arms that can be filled with various chemical fluids that it could then use to pull off various attacks/things, depending on what's in them by mixing them with his natural water.

One example would be a liquid mud slurry in the tanks, so it could use Mud Slap, Mud Shot, and/or Muddy Water, another would be chemicals that burst into flames or create immense amount of heat upon contact with water to let it use Fire Moves and Scald, yet another Poisonous chems to use various Poison moves, saline/electrolyte filled liquid and a sparker on the end of one of the hoses to use some sort of jury rigged Shock Wave.....I could go on. Its a versitle system, made possible by the fact that Arete can supply its own source of Water and the force behind it!

As for an actual lab, look no further than Dr. Mallorn! He'd probably eat his own arm for the chance to study an actual baby Legendary, and could easily be convinced to fully or partially subsidized the cost of upgrading it. If not, it's not like Terra can't fish up valuable Pokemon to sell them and pay for the mods THAT way. Quite a stable income, the Super Rod provides.

Heck, now that I think about it, Mallorn could probably given free reign to come up with his own idea to 'improve' them and implement them per Terra;s approval, as he IS a smart guy and business man, so that's an option for modification too!

Hmm....well, that's better than I thought would be the case, so that rule/law is fine by me! Wouldn't be sure if anyone would take their chances against even a baby Legend, but I bet Terra could market the idea somehow and turn a profit!
