[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

As the whole cavern trembles and the precious Wishing Well's becoming as rough as the sea during a violent thunderstorm, Shiva intuitively seeks some protection from her fully-healed butterwolfly; which Yena gladly offers: He spreads his wings widely, bristles his black fur and starts to growl and occasionaly bark, every hair of his signals that he is willing to defend his pack leader with everything he got. Shiva doesn't do a thing to calm him, but she is not giving him the word to attack either.

Her fearful attitude does not change as a real and vivid GENESECT out of all things appears from the depths of the Well, and Yena's aggressive stance intesifies. Only when her sixth sense picks up that no danger or malicious intentions are coming from this...BEING, she slowly starts to calm down, and so does Yena to a smaller degree. Daring to take a look at it as well as at Terra introducing himself to his new Pokemon already, she frowns - 'This thing looks even different from the Genesect we encountered and the one I saw depicted in the books [It's always the one that Team Plasma modified]' - and proceeds to watch with caution and a growing interest, but she does not dare to come closer UNTIL the newborn Legendary is semi-forced into obediance and Nathan backs off from the mountain of a man again, noticing the latter's guilt and shame that soon gets painted over with seriousness eventually makes her approach Terra.

The first thing she gives him is a very careful smile and a compassionate pat on the shoulder as she feels a strong need to help him handling this guilt, but she's being a bit hesitant about looking him in the eye. "They're beautiful in their own ways, aren't they...? *mustering newborn Genesect* '' 'Arete' is a fine name, it has a feminine ring. What does it mean or stand for?" (Insert Terra's assumed explanation here) "Ah. Take good care of them then..." Only after a good portion of visible struggling Shiva soon adds more words much more quietly: "If I am...allowed to tell you, I think you've done THE RIGHT THING. This is the Wishing Well, here your desires, what your heart wishes for count and less so your logical thinking - you understand? If this special Pokemon is what you wanted, then you shall be granted - the consequences are yours to deal with, but I'm positive you KNOW what you're doing. Come and ask for help if needed, alright?" And "If you wished for this Pokemon to help fulfilling your duty of protecting us in the name of Ven, you've now nailed it."

With that timidly spoken out towards Terra, Shiva's expression and stance quickly light and perk up as she voices a small wish of her own to him: "Say, may I.... May I BATTLE Arete at some point? I, eh, feel it'd be a nice challenge for my Pokemon. And I'd like to see how they (Arete) give themselves during a fight! May I, please? (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ"


On, and once everything's cleared and said, Shiva proceeds to explore the nearby surroundings further to see what more treasures may be hidden away around this place. Yena's happily aiding with his fine sense of smell as this gives him the chance to OBSERVE this strange waterly bug that looks similar to the huge one that KO'd him in cold blood. Hmpf. (Means, this time searching for stuff so that it does use an Encounter please.)

(I'll wait on Spira's input what he does about Leigh, whether he needs/asks for further Energy that I'm up to donate for her before I spent it myself.)

Towards Terra new Legendary Bug, Heart was astonished...until the moment he let out the dumb look and tell Terra: "Woooow! That's awesome Terra! You now have your own Legendary Pokemon! That's freaking awesome! And a Genesect!" Heart Terra a bro punch in his shoulder, until he flinch in place and feeling a pain.

Oh. Right. Terra is made of steel. 

Heart was trying to hide the pain while massage his hand. He was holding tears. 

"Queen Syrentide, I have a request too: By chance, could I ask if by chance there is a Fire/Water Pokemon in such place like this one? Or a female Selkid to join in my party? Or maybe a Shell Bell? If you don't mind I asking?"

(Note: Terra recalled Arete fairly quickly after he named them and gave the Silver Powder to hold, as he wanted to wait until later to socialize with it. Plan can change, however....)

Since Terra's attention was completely absorbed by the Revival Ritual the Siren Queen conducted, he pretty much completely missed anyone's reaction to it. Coulld blame the guy from being preoccupied by a spectacle as GRAND and extraordinary as that, though?

The mystical lass' approach came somewhat as a surprise to the mountain of a man, so distracted was he by his own deep reservations and chagrin over his Bargain and talk with Nathan that he didn't notice her until she comforted him. Her kind complicates about his baby Legend were also especially startling, as didn't expect Shiva, the resident Fairy fanatic who disdained Deltas with fairly ardent conviction, but he soon returned words with a faint smile and nod.

"Yes, they are. All life is beautiful, no matter what.....form it takes. Arete no....exception."

When she asked about/praised their name, his smile grew wider as he explained its meaning to him, and gave her another nod upon her request.

"I will. No matter what happens, Arete will be raised well. Protected from people that would bring them harm or.....would exploit them."

For a third time in so short a period, Terra is surprised fae lady, the cause of that being her compassion, leaving him staring at her with a vancant sense of disbelief for a brief moment, before in rare gesture he goes up and hugs her.

".....Thank you. Don't think I did right thing, but......don't think I did incorrect thing now too. Have to live with.....consequences of wish no matter what, but.....maybe I can handle it all easier now. Will ask you for help, if I need it. Thank you Shiva.....for being a good friend."

He then releases her, and it was clear to everyone he looked a lot better after the heart to heart he had with his boss' girlfriend, as he was still smiling and some of the tension over his Bargain had dissipated. Her subsequent request to battle Arete, however, replaces his regained serenity with shock and no small amount of uncertainty. Shiva wants to battle his Legendary Pokemon? Why? She just battled against the dread Skull Ruins lord Genesect and saw first hand how brutal and monstrously strong they were, yet she wants another go at his Mythical Bug. Sure, they were MUCH weaker and fully under his control, so the chance for unfortunate shenanigans happening were low, but was he willing to chance a battle with her despite that? Should he accept her request, or turn it down for safety reasons? What to do, what to do.

Terra spent a couple minutes mulling over her request.....before *Sighing* and nodding.

"....Okay. You can. But. ....But want to have battle here. Now. If something goes.....wrong, then this is safest place for that to happen, and not draw.....bad attention. Well?"

Well?

If they accept, he'd curtail his search through the mermaid queen's domain and take Shiva over to a place that is the most ideal sight for a fight to take place, and set the terms of engagement: 2v 1Single Battle, No Medical Items and No Fainting Pokemon except Arete if they get out of hand. His first and only choice would be Arete.

Towards Terra new Legendary Bug, Heart was astonished...until the moment he let out the dumb look and tell Terra: "Woooow! That's awesome Terra! You now have your own Legendary Pokemon! That's freaking awesome! And a Genesect!" Heart Terra a bro punch in his shoulder, until he flinch in place and feeling a pain.

Heart's own praise and acclamation further bolsters and improves the sagely monk's mood, giving them rare collector a smile and returned his comradery punch with a fairly hard clasp on the shoulder.

"Yes, it is, and I do. Just like you. *Wry grin* We are really.......Legendary Trainers now, yes? *Chuckles* Heh....."

Puns: the sign that true happiness and friendship were taking place! How Beautifly-ful!

Oh, if Arete is recalled that quickly, Yena fully concentrates on his given task of helping Shiva retrieve nice and useful things with his sense of smell. Hooray!~

Is this exemplar of Genesect a Delta in Shiva's view??? (I haven't thought about that either until now) Actually not unless someone would point that out to her (don't). She's better off to be left in her innocent belief that it's just a young and modified Genesect.

Awwwwww a hug from Terra is something that she rather timidly but still gladly accepts and even shyly returns, being well aware that such a kind gesture is usually rather, uh... unusualy for the mountain of a man. She's the first one to back off though as there's so much cold steel within his veins that it quickly becomes uncomfortable for fairy-loving and fae-like her. However, given the careful smile she's gifting him, it's easy to guess that she's happy for having been able to free him from some of his guilt over reviving this Legendary Bug.

With tension and anxiety she's waiting for Terra's response concerning a battle 'gainst this new being, those couple minutes felt like an hour to her. Just when she was starting to think she asked for something inacceptable and was about to withdraw her request, the mountain of a man nodded, causing her to visibly perk up in curiosity. ....However, as she mulled over his suggestion to fight now and here, she shrank back to her old figurative size and adamantly avoided to face Terra. "Oh... In, eh, in that case I rather not battle please! >_<; Too.... A bit too risky for me, and I do wish to save my remedies and stamina to find the Artifacts. Alright? We... We can STILL find a cave or a similar enclosed area where no humans may pass-by to find out about Arete later at some point, yes! But.... Let's not cause a ruckus here at the Well, okay?" In a more whispered tone she adds "Don't want to...appear like an unwanted guest by the benelovent siren by engaging in a spectacular battle. Fine?"


Mechanics:
I'd be up for that battle still, but preferably not here and now. It's better to save the Healing Items/Pulses needed to patch up both sides afterwards and use the Encounter to find Items/a Pokemon, or so I at least feel. Sounds good?

Okay then! Guess Terra will just be searching Mega Syrentide's domain for Shiny Pokemon after all, then! 

Personally, he's glad he managed to spook Shiva a bit, as that seemed to impress on them the severity of how potentially dangerous Arete was. If it keeps them from doing reckless/stupid things, he'd Intimidate her all she could handle, as tough love is still love none the less!

When Terra spots those hopefully tell tell signs of a Shiny Pokemon, his full and undivided attention is on them.

That simply thought, the sagely monk directed Angie to fly on over to where he spotted that glittering purple Pokemon, motioning for Mikey (Who is out, and is hitching a ride with his bro) to get ready to jump down and get that Pokemon. If it's what he thinks it is, then he can't let it get away.

Orders: Get that mystery 'mon ASAP! Michael will be his choice of Pokemon, and they're focus on putting it to Sleep with Spore first, the Paralyze it with Stun Spore, before using Facade on them 3 times until that first round, then 5 times per Round until they are Fainted. If it tries to escape, then I believe Terra will send out Arete to pursue and Faint then bring it to him. After that.....well, that depends if they're what I'm/Terra is actually looking for or not. He's hoping it is!

Moves:

Dice Pools: Channel (13D6 [ Increasing Channel to 4 for 18 XP!]), Brawl (14D6)
Accuracy of Moves: All is perfect except Stun Spore, which has a - 2 Accu Penalty
