[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Quote:I would have actually not start a bid if Spirit was the one to win the vote, but since their's a tie now.....well, all I can do now is try to win the bid, so I can give the right to wield the Sword to them. I do think they deserve to win it, and I owe it to them too.

Doesn't that go against what Iron just said, though? If Spirit wants the sword and it comes to an exp bid, he needs to bid exp for it himself from my understanding.

Look, Spirit hasn't said his piece yet about all of this. I want to hear his point of view, given he and I are the main contenders here. I know I'm willing to take this to exp bidding if necessary. Whether he is as well is another matter entirely.

If it does, then I misinterpreted what they meant. I thought whomever wins the bid gets to decide what happens to The Sword, but if not, oh well. In that case, I'll still enter the XP Bidding War if Spiritmon doesn't want to, as if he gives up the chance to wield The Sword, then I'm certainly going to take it for Terra in his stead.

So that means we're basically waiting for Spirit to give his input on the bidding war.

Seems so. Does it actually take an Encounter for you to make a small snack for Pokemon out of that moss Shiva just collected?

...so I'm going to be entering an exp bid either way?

*sigh*

...why can't this just be a simple affair, instead of a complex mess of arguments and counterarguments and selfish desires...

...oh, right. It's because the sword is a Plot Deviced, story relevant item of significant importance that only one of us can wield at the end of the day, which is bound to cause conflict, something which we're prone to as players due to conflicting viewpoints...*sigh*...

-----------------------

...also, Windos, I think wielding the Sword in someone else's stead goes against what the sword's supposed to represent. It's a Sword to be wielded by a King, not a servant or a knight.

Looks to be that way, for the reasons you stated. You put it rather aptly, mate.

I more or less meant that statement in an OOC fashion (As in, if Terra get's the sword, I'd let Spiritmon dictate what happens OOC with it). IC, Terra claim The Sword to become both a King of Fighters and eventually become the Protector King of the people, as he'd want to do his best to safeguard them and keep their best interests in mind with what he does with it. It would certainly give him a Steel solid purpose in life, after he spent so much of his already wandering around trying to find one.

Sorry in take so much time to put my own insight in this situation. There was no explicity rule saying only Kings can wield the sword. For a long time, Heart feel inferior because of his own failed try in saving everyone he care about: His mother. His young brother. And all his clan. He passed hardship in his life, and conquer the loyalty of most of his Pokemons though test and sheer will. With be almost receive electric attacks, almost poison, or get his own bones crushed by Gargriph. I think Heart is worth enough to at least try.

So I willing to go in this XP battle. If I loose, I will accept my defeat and resigned in let Nathan have the sword.

Just tell me what I need to do in bidding XP battle. Let settled this Dragonstrike.

And there is another point: The sword burn at the touch of someone not worth, and Heart resist a certain point of heat. This is might be a clue to at least try my luck.

I'm fairly certain the sword being fire based is just a coincidence. The weapon was made out of the remains of dead Keenglaive, both Black and White. Dark, Steel, and Fire are its elements, and it existed long before Heart ever got a Fire Wish Tag from Jirachi, I'm sure.

Sounds like I've got myself my opponent then. We simply say how much exp we're willing to spend until one of us surrenders or someone has bid more exp than what their opponent has. Keep in mind that whatever exp you bid, you have to spend if you win. If you lose, you don't spend any exp.

The last time I did this (and the only other instance in the game so far), I was bidding against an NPC for the chance to capture a Ditto. That's probably going to be small change compared to what we're probably about to do, though.

Who gonna try first? How about a flip coin of head and tails to see who will begin?

@Iron, could you?
