[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
All the Nidoran peer intently as you jiggle the Sword, but lose interest a bit when you don't try to remove it.

It is wedged in there quite firmly, with no gap. There's no surge of Earthpower at your touch or anything, but there is some fire licking at it which also licks at your hand. Stay touching it long enough and you could get a Burn.

You can grab some moss for free, in a couple different shades of dark green. Nido do not shed horns casually.
While doing this, you notice very few signs of anything else making its home here. Normally you'd see the droppings or sheddings or footprints of other Pokemon.

I take that as 'Shiva can't pull it loose'? Just to be sure she'll now go all-or-nothing and attempts to pull on that Sword for JUST A SECOND, JUST ENOUGH to see whether it gives in to that act of hers or not. She doesn't think it'll do, but just because she still tries to do so as it's a unique chance that she won't EVER get again. In the highly unexpectional scenario that it does give in to her though, she'll let loose of the Sword immediately to not accidently steal the show, that's not what she and least of all me want - take this as an in-chara act of curiosity of hers.

She also feels like there is a reason that it's all Nido around here, obviously.

Shiva is in the correct myth - the Sword does not budge in your hand. All the Nidoran make little Pokemon chuckles and go back to eating moss.

This doesn't suprise her, and it's fine. Perfectly fine as she's not really the type of person who'd be to lead an army with a mighty sword in one hand and the reins of that bulky Rapidash she snatched from the Eastern Suns. That's satisfying all her curiosity!~ As the huge Nidos chuckle, Shiva goes back to hiding behind the Shield though, more out of fear towards them than out of shame. Now the stage's free for any other chara who want to try their luck with this Artifact.

Seeing that this....moss is the main source of food for them though, she offers the share she just collected to her own Pokemon to sniff on, in particular to Yena and Primal Glaceon. She also asks Spira whether he'd be able to create something nice outta this moss, a snack for a Pokemon featuring a Poison Type for example?

Spira doesn't have any reasons to attempt pulling the sword in the first place, in fact, he feels that he's the least worthy of the group to handle such an important artifact, but after seeing Shiva fail to pull out the sword, he'd ask her one thing in particular, if she felt anything in particular, (mainly referring to the burning sensation) after getting an affirmative response, Spira would share that, he too, felt the burning sensation and would tug on the handle of the sword, to see if his theory holds. If it doesn't move, he postulates his theory; "I think that the sword burns, or tries to burn, people that aren't worthy to wield it. Therefore, I think we should all (referring just to the PC characters here) touch the sword and narrow it down from there."

Concerning the moss: Spira picks a piece of the moss, roughly a pinch of it, himself, and after eyeing it closely, sticks his tongue to it, he doesn't eat it, just tastes it. He then tries to make something like nori sheets out of the moss.

Heart look to Nathan, Spira, Terra and Shiva. "My friends, if someone is willing to try, I want to try myself. You all have grown a lot alongside me in this long adventure. I have grown up too, but not as you all. My clan still need a Leader, and I not close enough. However...this sword is supposed to be wield not only by Kings, but to those with strong will. I want to go forward in the sword test. Is anyone against it?"

You test Spira's theory, but all five of you trigger the same flaming reaction upon brushing the Sword. The Nidoran are getting interested now, since it looks like many visitors will be trying their luck at pulling forth the Sword.

Well then, now that we've settled this with an exp bid, it's time for a more serious attempt at this.

The Nidoran are interested to see if someone can pull this Sword out of the stone? Well, let's give them a little show.

Presumably, the group would have had a discussion about this IC as well, and when it's all said and done...that's Nathan's cue, Gallade by his side as always as he steps up to the Sword.

"We need this Sword now. Without it, Creshire will fall to ruin. Someone needs to lead the charge."

Nathan grabs the hilt. "It's time to give this my best shot. For my home. For everything I want to accomplish. If I have to endure burning pain to achieve my goals and save my home, then so be it."

Let's see if Nathan can pull this sword out...or if he's just going to go down in flames trying.

One way or another, though, he WILL wield this Sword.

The fate of his home depends on it.

Nathan heaves and heaves, but the Sword doesn't budge. Shiva is watching closely while offhandedly feeding nori to her Pokemon. She doesn't sense any answering surge of power.

Heart can't get it out either, nor Terra.

The Nidoran snigger and boldly steal Spira's nori.
