Wow. You just got access to DIVE, Dragonstrike. That's.....well, that'll certainly make searching for the big Genesect Fossil easier, now won't it? Only bad thing about that is that nobody else can follow along with you, unless we get DIVE capable Pokemon in the future. Drat....

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking, too.  Wasn't expecting that at all...

Indeed, but that knowledge ain't going to do anyone much good, since we A) Don't know where said passage is, and B) Even if we did, only Nathan could use it, and even then there's no telling if he could do safely (Might be too crampt/dangerous for him and Seedra together) . If you want to split the group to go after DIVE on Garlicburg if you find said passage, though, then go for it mate!

Seadra definitely knows where that passage is, though.

A quest for later, however.  We have other things to do right now, and Garlicburg is a loooooooonnnnnggggg ways away from the Skull Ruins.

There's something near Garlicburg that Shiva wants to get into her hands and she yearns to visit Earthstar Forest, so a trip to that place is coming up at some point for sure.

You can think of just about anything for a Surprise. You want a talking Pokemon? Spend the XP. A third type? Costs XP. An invisible Pokemon? We'll think of a price.

I take this as a subliminal encouragment to think of the craziest stuff for my Pokemon just because. I want Lilith to talk telepathically with Shiva, and Primal Espeon getting STAB on all Type of Eeveelution he evolved in, as well as him sporting a rainbow-colored ruff as a Jolteon.

EDIT: ...How much would being able to communicate solely with Shiva via telepathy (JUST via telepathy, she should not be able to speak common for everyone to hear) cost for Lilith? Seriously now.

@Iron, there is other ideas I had about Doublade surprises: Along with the bonus of +1 Damage and +1 in defense, Heart could fuse his Jirachi Fire bless into Doublade, making his strikes be Fire instead of typeless. Any attack be strikes or his other moves could also have the effect in cause burn status in the enemy, and targets who already have such status would receive extra damage depending in the level of burn. Or just cause some extra damage against burned targets.

This could fit with Heart connection, Ark who was know as Master of Flames.

Wielding Doublade still allows him to Rock Smash or anything, but changes to the Pokemon don't affect Heart. If you want a sort of "shared spells" thing that would cost more XP. But it's a good idea.

For a Pokemon to learn speech is 100XP. For Shiva-only telepathy, it could be a bit cheaper. Although with your sensitivity, you're already darn close to that, since you feel everything Gothitelle tries to tell you.

How much XP it would cost in total? The bonus of defense and attack, the fire damage effects and the shared spells? Could you tell me a total cost so I could use as a reference?

....Well, those Mega Stones are certainly an appealing treasure to go after, even if you have to force this issue of getting them. Somehow, though, I don't think Shiva or Phantom would be willing to resort to brute force in order to obtain them for herself or the group, though....

Those Bones are also interesting, but I'm unsure if they're Fossilized or not.
