[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Thinking of bringing Noire, Toya, Luna, Neura, and the Froslass he caught earlier for the Deoxys Showdown
So yeah, definitely will need access to a PC as well.

You'll pop out in Cress City, and Deoxys is down by Elanor. So do whatever you like in between.

.....and so father and son are reunited truly, at long last, and a dream once thought impossible has just been realized.

Fucking awesome.

I don't think I'll have Terra comment on that scene, unless Nathan wishes he did. Neither he nor I want to ruin it, so I imagine he's watching from a distance at the two, looking incredibly happy for the two in his own stoic and reserved way.

.....Though I'm wondering at the chronology of when Marco's 'Revival' happened. Was it the very last thing, prior to the group finishing their respective Encounters? Or was it an interruption to them?

Speaking of which, Spirit, you might want to finish investigating the Arceas Mural with Terra's/Solomon's help, so everyone has a better idea of what exactly it's capable of and he can Heavy Ball it for you. Also, I'll get to responding the gifting of the Manecite soon. I've been busy, but, I should have some more free time available in a hour for some extensive writing.

Let's say it happens last, because it's supposed to become possible at the end of the day.

......Is the Arceas Mural basically both a Lore repositry on the myraid Legends that exist in your setting, plus has all the Plates (17 Total for all the conventional Types, 18 if Nucleaer Plate exists, and 19 if Shadow/??? Plate exists) partly attached to it that can be removed and given to a Pokemon for them to receive a general power buff (as in, that 1 Dice applies to all it's Rolls)? If so......gat damn Iron, you're no longer holding back the good stuff from us, ain't ya?

On to other new......yeap, it's time for us to finally vamouse from the Ruins, and head for the final battle......

.....after I get Terra to sell all the loot he has, so he can get the Poke for everyone to restock and fully prepare for said final battle, and switching up his party. About that, I have a question for you, Iron: how would an OHKO Move interact with a fully Plot Device Legend, if Nathan empowered the Move with The Sword? Because Terra has Genie who knows FISSURE, and it's not too much of a stretch that he couldn't work out a deal with his Desert Djin to listen/follow Nathan or receive the Sword Buff from him gracefully (How does that work again? Does the Sword Buff apply only to Nathan's Pokemon, or to any one Pokemon he chooses [Similar to how Shiva's Shield works]?) , so....

An OHKO is no better than any other attack when it comes to Plot Device damage.

Legendaries can also have Plot Device Hit Points, as it were, so it's possible it will take more than two hits with the sword to defeat a Legendary.

Wait wait wait. You mean...that mural its a part of the one plates of Arceus itself?! And if this plate show Moltres, then it mean this plate its the Fire type plate correct? I a little confused about what this mural exatcly is so could you explain a little more clear @Iron?

The mural is a big painting which contains the Plates. So if you look closely at the part of the painting that shows Moltres, you'll see it is a Fire plate.

Alright, since we're pretty much on the cusp of the climatic battle against DEOXYS, I say it's high time for another round of strategy discussion and rampant brainstorm as to how we're going: A) Decide which Pokemon we're going to bring in the final battle against it, B) to best approach it for said final battle, and C) actually fight the interstellar menace.

To start things off, Iron, would that Arceas Mural happen to have legend(s)/Lore associated with DEOXYS, and can Nathan possibly do a Lore Roll with Solomon and/or Sari to translate and get all the useful Knowledge we can about it?

Secondly, Teams. Who are we going to bring in the final battle against Deoxys? And not just Pokemon wise, but actual allies too beyond the Scimitars? I certainly wouldn't be opposed to making a detour to try and convince either Howl or Chuckle to lend a hand, as their stronk and sly Dark/Ghost Types would really be a nice thing to leverage against the super space virus. Dagney could also be of help, especially if she has a couple of tame Steelixes that can act as meat shields to soak up a three Plot Device attacks (Or one big one each). Then there's the matter of Terra, and the unfortunate possibility of him being a liability in the fight.....we have to decide on whether he stays with the group or stays well out of reach of Deoxys, just in case.

Thirdly, when exactly are we going to engage Deoxys? Going to do so ASAP means we mitigate anymore havoc it can wreak, but everyone is bone tired from their day's trek through the last layers of the Ruins, and Will Power alone can't deny that unless Iron says so, so we'll be at a disadvantage (Well, more of one, anyway). If we delay and gather our resources/allies/power and let the League try their best to contain it, then we'll have a much better shot of beating it.....but then we're letting it fuck things up for who knows how long that takes for us to get fully into gear. Pick our poison, I suppose.

Fourth, Items. What should we bring to use against it or for ourselves (Beyond the Artifacts, obviously)? I'm particularly curious as to what those Plates could do for the group as a whole, but what other goodies do we have up our sleves? Oh, and keep in mind that Max Potions/Full Restores are the only things that can treat Plot Device Damage (Though how much of it?), so everyone should at least by 6 of them with the Loot Money we'll be getting once we sell all of Sarimanok's old odds and ends. Shiva's Shield can only do so much to prevent Deoxys from wrecking us, you know.

Deoxys is actually not a part of this mural at all, being an offworlder.

A Max Potion can really only heal 1 PD, because 1 PD brings you to 1/whatever HP (and the next one faints you). It still can't bring you back from fainting.
