[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Allies: Marco would likely be willing to help.  Nathan could also talk to Dagny if there's time to do so.  Howl would probably also be willing to help out given how close to Elanor this is going to be.  We should remember that Deoxys is able to clone itself, but its clones are not fully Legendary, so PD damage isn't required to beat them (and they might also be susceptible to the Frozen Roar.  Maybe).  If there's any part those not armed with the Artifacts can help with, it's that.

When: Let's get to the surface first so we can properly check on the current state of things and make a more informed decision.

Teams: I'm in the process of planning my team.

Items: We need to keep in mind that buffing ourselves is likely going to generally be better than trying to debuff Deoxys unless we know said debuff is going to work.  Nathan mostly has type boosting items (which aren't really worth much where PD damage is concerned), but the Choice Scarf in particular could be a powerful option against Deoxys's faster forms (Speed primarily, but Attack and Normal are pretty fast too).  I was considering giving it to Grid.  Mega Stones would be particularly potent as well (if only because of the Dex and Insight boosts) if the League can get us Key Stones before the big fight (and also assuming the pokemon in question have met the necessary requirements to Mega Evolve).

It's gonna be tough to find time to visit the League, I'll tell you that much. They will have a lot of fires to put out.

A Max Potion can really only heal 1 PD, because 1 PD brings you to 1/whatever HP  (and the next one faints you). It still can't bring you back from fainting.

Darn. Curse your extraterrestrial origins, Deoxys! *Angrily Shakes Fist!*

From what I recall, you ruled that supremely Bulky Pokemon like Angie and Lovely can take up to 2 points of PD before being Fainted by a 3rd Point, due to their immense size and HP, so the Max Potion PD Healing Limit is relevant to at least Terra/me.

Alright, time to kick-start the brainstorming myself, with what scant little info we have. Concerning the whole 'Most Immune to Earth Based Stuff', it's possible that other extraterrestrial Pokemon could put a dent in it with their Moves, assuming their time on Earth hasn't nulled that particular advantage away. As for stuff that could possibly hurt Deoxys outside of The Sword and SE Damage.....well, perhaps MSC? Particularly, if big enough chunks are thrown at the super virus hard enough, it could do something to it. Heck, make Ball Shots of the stuff for Shiva's Ancient Gun, and have her take pot shots at it. Stuff from the Ghost World would also likely to affect it, for both obvious and non-obvious reasons, but since only Spira has ready access to that via Toya, and they're part Fighting type.......

EDIT: Oh, and Dream World stuff could screw with Deoxys too, especially if it can be sent and lost there. Keni could also potentially create a Card that could trap the damn creature in it/another dimension should we weaken it enough, as his Skill in his paints are just otherworldly itself, mates!

Due to Deoxys' nature as a super virus, it could possibly also be affected by foreign allergens on earth or certain types of antiseptic medicines/cleaning agents (Which could mean certain Poison and Grass Moves could work on it well enough, ironically, or dumping a HUGE amount of scalding hot blench/alcohol), and since Deoxys is practically a jello DNA entity extreme enough changes in temperature or changes acidity/basitity could denature it (So superhot/cold Fire and Ice type attack, and acidic Poison Moves could also have an affect). Of course, this is assuming that Deoxys' DNA (or whatever it's form of genetic code is) is similar enough to Earth based life that we could apply the same principles to affect it, which is a gamble at best.

You know, from what I've learnt of Iron's version of Deoxys, it's heavily reminding of the TYPE entities of the Nasuverse (Look them up everyone, if you care to). If it's even a fraction like what they are......I'm surprised the planet Earth in your setting is even habitable after it had its 'fun' with it. Because, I mean, yikes is a TYPE esqe DEOXYS are scary thought, *Shivers* ......

....Well, this is certainly one, oh my. Um....

.....Can we catch some of those Deoxys clones if we beat them, Iron? Or the real deal, if we can actually defeat it without it fleeing for the literal high heavens? Or killing them, really. For SCIENCE'S shake, if nothing else?

Legendaries have Plot Device Will scores. No one knows about the clones though.

AKA: hahahaha you ain't Balling a Legend unless it want's to be caught, or you can somehow bullshit a way to bypass Plot Device Will (Sword Empowered Pokeballs? Nah, that wouldn't work....funny thought, though!). Fair enough, though!

Well, guess I'll settle for getting a clone then, if Terra participates in the battle. I'm perfectly happy with doing that if it can be done, as Arete has already proven even a nerfed Legend is still Leagues above what a regular Pokemon is capable of. Speaking of the primal powerhose, how much Plot Damage can they take before going down? They're current Plot Device ability is a particularly potent form of extreme vitality, a diminish Legend is still a Legend, and their natural Bug typing could afford it some protection against getting brain damaged by it.

Also, just remembered something: Deoxys can learn Recover, so unless we can lock that Move down somehow (Probably via Heal Block from Lilith, but that'll screw everyone up, or Taunt if being a Dark Type Move and Deoxys being a sort of control freak would allow it to be effective on it), it's going to be either a hellish Damage race to see if we can finish it off before it can get the chance to heal, or a horribly grueling fight if it can spam that Move to great affect.

I do some ideas of Pokemon to grab along with me. Lancelot its a must have Pokemon to at least reduce the damage of possible clones we fight along with Deoxys, along with Metal Sound to reduce greatly Deoxys defenses, and ghost type moves with priority to cause damage against Deoxys. Quetzal will be our Tailwind Pokemon to increase our speed attacks and iniatives against foes. His elemental Jaws will be useful to at least reduce Deoxys speed with his Thunder Bite and Flinch his clones with Rock Slide, and access to Crunch who is a Dark type. Gustav will be important in this battle with his Dark Pulse Ability in case we beat Deoxys clones right away and Deoxys be alone. He can also can use Muddy Water to hit multiple foes and reduce their accuracy, and Bubbles can also be used to reduce Deoxys Dexterity.

Viktor could be used in case I be able to teach him Forest Curse (if he has the necessary XP of course) and go together with Rose to send wave after wave of flames to cause extra fire damage due to Fire Bless and Blast Burn boost with Blaze. I was also thinking in bring Percival due to his Steel typing and access to STAB Rock Slide to cause Flinch chances. Typhon is also a option since I can always evolve him since I have the Thunder Stone and get access to very much powerfull moves he have. And paralyze effects. Fate (Xatu) and be also our Tailwind set thanks to his Aerilate ability, so any Flying type move has priority, including Aerial Slash who can also cause Flinch, and is a STAB move. Honckrow is also a option thanks to his Dark-type and access to Super Luck who can also cause really nasty damage against Deoxys psychic type.

Gargryph: Self heal with Rebuild+Leftlovers+Substitute = Constant healing and good bunch of damage against our foes. Weezing Explosion can also cause serious damage, but it is way to much risk.

And finally, Heart other Ghosts: Confraguigus and Atlas new form. Mummy ability could be used to neutralize Deoxys ability, and maybe disable his power to change forms with @Iron confirmation of not if is possible, and Atlas new set of moves along with his Elemental punchs is also a alternative to cause damage.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

So here's the strategy I'm thinking of:
-Neura: Crunch to hopefully do some Lethal damage to help mitigate restoration via Recover, PD might prevent that. Poison Fang to counterbalance Healing with badly poisoned status, again, PD might prevent that, cycle through the Elemental fangs if those two don't work, side note, @Iron, would it be possible to give Neura Strong Jaw as a second ability, to work in conjunction with Compound Eyes?
-Froslass: Icy Wind for Dex lowering, Destiny Bond should things go completely fubar (Granted PD doesn't prevent it), Powder Snow for spread coverage+Freeze, Astonish for flinching, and Ominous Wind for stat boosting
-Luna: Ominous Wind+Baton Pass for giving stat boost to another of Spira's 'mons, Shock Wave/Icy Wind for coverage.
-Toya: Shadow Punch/Elemental Punches, Disable to handle pesky Psychic moves/Recover (again, provided PD does not prevent it.)
-Noire: Shadow Ball for debuffing, Will-o-Wisp+Hex for extra damage (Provided PD doesn't prevent burns), Feint Attack for never miss shenanigans and Phantom Force for shield breaking
any comments on those strategies/ a potential 6th party member?
ones I'm considering:
A-Exeggutor
pros:
-f&$%ing tank (41 HP)
-Stun Spore, Hypnosis, and Confusion for status ailment shenanigans (PD notwithstanding)
-Leech Seed for self-healing
cons:
-0 Loyalty vs 2 Disobedience
Nubi
pros:
-Lucky Chant to help our rolls
-another Hex user
-Confuse Ray
-Magical Leaf for moar never miss stuff
-Phantom Force
-Flash to blind (Might not work)
cons:
-pretty much limited to what I gave
Clamperl
pros:
-Clamp/Whirlpool for binding shenanigans
-Shell Smash/Iron Defense for buffing
-Refresh for self status healing
-Endure for stalling
cons:
-very limited movepool
Chandelure
pros:
-Flame Body/Ember for burning
-Smog, Astonish for more status spamming
-Hex
-Shadow Ball for debuffing
cons:
-2 Loyalty vs 4 Disobedience
-pretty limited movepool
