From what I read, The Plates grant a + 1 Omni Die Boost to a Pokemon of the same Type that holds it, so if you want to boost Gustav's Moves, you'd need the Water Plate for that. Dark Plate could still be used by Honchrow, though!

@Iron, have a question regarding the Move Tutor: What Moves can Arete learn from them (Assuming they do the Tutoring in private and can keep a secret)? Arete's a Legendary Bug Type Pokemon, and what they're capable of learning is highly flexible due to that and their nature of being easily modified/adapted to learn brand new Moves /Forms/capabilities in general. Mainly, I want to know if they could learn Mega Horn, Quiver Dance, Tail Glow, and/or Sticky Web as non-Traditional ? Moves, and if so, how much would each cost them?

The Plates are just like a Charcoal or whatever. Same as in the games. They give +1 dice to their type of move.

A move tutor wouldn't know where to begin on tutoring a Legendary Pokemon, but might be a good resource when you try to upgrade Genesect.

...So Arete can't learn any Move from any Move Tutor? Not even Jerry?  At least, not now?

Aww, none of the moves Jerry can teach match Shiva as they all use Brawl in their Accuracy Roll... Ragepowder interests me a little though, since it could be useful on certain situations. I'm unsure though. Oh well, at least that leaves more cash for me to spend on supplies and to save for later!~

Iron, I realized that Pancham and Pangoro lack some good Dark Type moves, so how much would Snarl as a Suprise Move cost on Shiva's big panda? Same amount like on Mightyena (18XP)?

It would cost more because it's not on Pangoro's list in any gen. Let's do 28XP.
