Been waiting for this a long time.


As you focus on the Latios card, your hands grow damp with sweat. Hm, wait, no, that's the card, actually dripping water!
The background becomes clear... sort of. It's still kind of a blur, albeit a realistic one. You see Latios desperately flying through the air along a series of very narrow sea caverns. With every banking turn, a great spray of water comes up and drenches Latios and threatens to slam him into the rough ceiling. The only light comes from the glowing sigil on its chest. Latios looks like it has been flying nonstop for ages. Its scales have sloughed off in places, and there are many half-healed scars from striking narrow turns in the endless undersea labyrinth. He's only got about five feet from water's surface to the bottom of the ceiling, and the walls often close in on him, requiring maneuvers no one else could pull off.

(I can see why....)

Well, Terra's certainly caught off guard by the frantic sight of the Eon Dragon seemingly trapped and assaulted(?) in an underwater cave labyrinth, and is left stunned, increadulous, and worried about the sight. Then, his natural stoicism and stern/serious disposition kicks right back in, and when faced with the dire scene before him and recalling what he knew how Keni's Cards worked, the sagely monk did the simplest he could.

"Latios! Latios! Come here! Come through opening!"

.....He called out to them, and beseeches them to come through the portal generated/manifested by the Card.

(Correct me if I am wrong, but the Cards are two way portals, right Iron? And visible to beings other than the card user?)

I don't think you have any evidence to suggest that, but Terra would definitely try.

The card grows warm and the depiction grows sharper than ever. Your hand falls through the card, and some of your arm, but the rest of you stays outside the portal. Latios' sharp talons are suddenly grabbing your hand, and you heave backward. 


SPLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH. A huge wave bursts out from the card, melting it and subsuming the little room you're in. The door bursts down and water rushes out of the Pokemon Center as people scatter out of the way.
No one can reprimand you, however, as they all see Latios proudly burst forth and take to the sky, surveying Creshire with pleasure. That pleasure washes over the crowd, all those who are empathetic toward the famous separation of the Eon Duo feeling much too happy to be upset about their soaked belongings. 

People are releasing Poliwag and a Vaporeon, who start absorbing the water. Terra presumably ran out after Latios and is now standing beneath the Legendary. Everyone is watching. Latios has paused to listen to what its releaser has to say.

I don't think you have any evidence to suggest that, but Terra would definitely try.

You're dang right he'd high tail it after them! Terra was already alarmed before THAT happened, but now this grabbed his attention, and it was not letting going! Literally and not!!

Terra was, for a moment, rendered speechless at what he'd accomplish, headless of the aftermath like everyone else. He'd released Latios from somewhere it got trapped somehow, and now he was basking in its frankly glorious and elated presence, with their complete and undivided attention squarely on him. The anticipation - both his and the Eon Dragon's - was a palatable force for him, and he quite honestly didn't know where to begin with addressing the Legend.

So he ended up default to his usual course of action: addressing and doing things simply, one step at a time. He's....well, simple like that.

".....Latios. It is good you are back. Very good. Do you need care? Have medicine that can fully heal you, if you need it."

(On the topic of the crowd surrounding him/Latios, what about the group? Are they close enough to be a part of this event? I know at least Nathan is, given this scene happened directly after he meet up with Terra to encouraged him.)

Latios does a loop to show that he is doing great! In fact, some of his wounds that couldn't heal in that damp environment have begun closing before your eyes.

Then I'd like for Shiva to witness this because she's so empathic, she's feeling that pleasure and happiness over the blue Eon Brother being free again very vividly, and she's loving it. For Terra she has a highly approving and delightful look, but otherwise stays silent to let him have his moment with Latias. She eagerly helps absorbing the water with her own Vaporeon.

At that, the steely brawler couldn't help but smile and laugh a bit, shaking his head in bemusement at both happy and reslient Latios was. Sure, they were a full fledged Legendary Pokemon, but you'd think being stuck in an undergrowth, underwater cave labyrinth would take more out of them!

"That is also good. Glad I don't have to worry about you."

Then, just as suddenly as it came, his mirth filled levity went, and it was replace with a sobering and grave solemnness as he calmly meet the Eon Dragon's gaze once more.

"....But still have big problem to worry about. HUGE problem. We....Cheshire.....the World has to worry about. Deoxys. Let me explain...."

And Terra proceeds to launch into a concise summary of the current situation: Deoxys, cosmic mad scientist space virus, has returned to Earth and Cheshire to practices it's own brand of SCIENCE! yet again, and it was up to him, his friends (He names them all, and thinks of what they look like, just in case they're reading his mind), the League (Including Hayes and Latias), and whomever they can or already have drafted to defeat it. He also brings up the fact that his friends and allies had also managed to retrieve the Artifacts to wield against it, and that after they get some rest they would be marching out to confront it.

"...And that is all. Latios.....we need your help. Please.....help me and friends. Everyone. Help us take Deoxys down, and save this region. Come and fight with us directly, or join and do battle your own way. Just....help us. Please. After that, I will help you reunite with Latias no matter what, if you wish. That, and whatever else you want. Anything. Promise. So please......can you grant us this boon?"

Right thereafter pleading with the telekinetic dragon, Terra feel silent and awaited their response, no once adverting his gaze from them and his expression plaintive yet somehow resolute. He also didn't blink, for that matter.

Yeah, considering Nathan was just talking to Terra and the building getting completely flooded would be a pretty dang hard thing to miss, Nathan is absolutely there to gaze in awe at Latios!  This is Terra's show, of course, so Nathan keeps a respectful distance and stays quiet for now (unless Terra or Latios were to request he step forward, of course). And he'll definitely have some questions for Terra in a little bit...

Seeing what everyone else is doing, Nathan also summons his Ditto and asks them to help out with the Water Absorbing.

"*Frowns regretfully* .....Not here. Don't know where they are right now. But. ...But know where they will be. With Hayes, Fighting Deoxys around Elanor. Sometime soon. Could fly over and wait for her there......*Shakes Head* but don't think that is good idea. Deoxys has area under it's control with lots of clones, so going there alone......bad stuff could happen. Think......would be best for you to stay with me and my friends, and find Latias after we fight it. Won't have trouble reuniting with her after THEY are beaten......hopefully. *Beat* .....That just my opinion, though. Do what you feel is best, Latios."

A tenative response from the sagely monk, but a frank one, and unmotivated by personal desires and the like. He just wants what's best for them, even though as a Legend they should be able to take care of themselves just fine. Then again, they were trapped in the undersea labyrinth somehow for some reason, so clearly they were not infallable. Hm....

Latios takes off immediately, straight west. Looks like he's setting a course that will wind up north of Teazel Valley.

Marco: "And so must I leave for my long lost partner. Nathan, you coming, buddy?" He already treats you like an adult in most ways. Since you've reunited, he's ONLY seen you in competent, responsible roles.

Which given the group dynamics we've had throughout the adventure, that could almost be considered a miracle.  Still, Nathan IS trying his best to leave a good impression, so it's not entirely up to chance.

"What I said earlier still stands, dad. Let's go home. Let's all finally, finally be home again."

Still, he can't help but gaze in the direction Latiis flew off in...

"I hope Latios doesn't run into any trouble over there...north of Teazel Valley, though...I wonder if he'll pass by Bill's House on the way there?  That'd probably be a quick way for him to get in contact with Hayes..."

Real quick, though, Nathan has two questions for Terra.  "...so, where was he?  And do you have any idea why he looked so beat up for a moment there?"
