[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
(10-21-2019, 04:45 PM)Iron Wrote: It is now Day 84.

I must scoot off to rehearsal, but I'll leave you with two hints about the day:

You'll each get a reward of $75,000. Some of this is in cash and some is in goods, but you can treat it all as cash. Terra only gets $30,000, but he also gets the lease for a nice lab, lots of basic materials, and a fleet of qualified lab assistants from Botanville.

There now exists in Creshire a Master Move Tutor of each type. They tend to be in places that make sense - for example you've already met the Steel Tutor in Stair City. Gym Leaders of the relevant type may also know where the Masters are.

Master Move Tutors can teach any level up move of their type for 75$ per XP. This replaces the need to grind.

You can also spend this money on Vitamin Regimens. They are $20,000 and add a stat boosting surprise of your choice, to one Pokemon, over the course of a week.

Mallorn has more for you in his package, but I'll type that up some other time. I have rehearsal and a work conference so it might be a sec.

Heart patch his thins. He takes Fate the Xatu and said to him. "So Fate. We have a meeting to do it. Stair City is our first stop."

Heart grab back the Luck Egg and Hypno Monocle he gave to those Pokemon and put in his bag.

*Flashback!*

"*Wanely smiles*....It should be surprise or worry me you feel so humble about your world-shaping heroic deeds way, but I can't find myself to be either. *Brightens up* Well, no matter. Ultimately, it's not your decision whether you deserve  honor and acclaim for your actions, Nate. Whether you deserve to become a Legend, immortalized for ages to come. *Shakes head wistfully* No, that power rests in the hands of the League, the public, your peers, and, most importantly of them all, the ones who love and care for you, and I don't believe it takes a historian and sociologist to know what they choose to do, hmm? *Chuckles* You know where I stand on the matter, at the very least, ah ha!"

The eccentric researcher seemed to be simultaneously and paradoxially doggedly relentless yet blase with heaping on so much praise onto Nathan, trying to force them to accept it and reject their glum attitude in a casual, carefree, and gregarious way. Impossible to say why he's so insistent about this, due to the utter stressed and tired mess he is right now just behind his highly affable facade - or maybe it's the cause behind it?

Ven simply smiles at his the young scholar's question, not trying to force them to look at him but at he same time doing nothing to diminish the effect of his presence on them. "No, perhaps not. But necessity has nothing to do with it, Nate. I choose to put myself in your debt, because that is what I think is the right thing to do for you."

For the first time, Ven expression turns sorrowful, his smile becoming bittersweet and melancholy.

"It's the least a terrible friend like myself can accomplish, for someone so richly deserving."

Then his expression switched back to full force chipperness so fast you'd think it give him whiplash!

"Since you can't think of Favors to ask, then I suppose I'll have to devise one for me to fulfill that you'll truly appreciate! Hmm.......ah, I know. How about we bury the hatchet over Orthros, and accept them as you first wish I would? Does that sound good, Nate?"

He suggests this with qualm or ulterior motive, beaming down curiously at his old friend.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

(Ohhh, more rehearsal! Have fun on it. ^o^)

I'll wait on anything that concerns the package from Prof.Mallorn and the reward from the League once you revealed everything, but I'll go ahead to Day 84 now already.

If it's possible and fine for Ventus, Shiva definitely definitely DEFINITELY wishes for him to stay with her for the night and share a dorm and bed up a Pokemon Center, preferably in Ginger Town. She's exhausted from all the battling and fighting of the alien invader and would very much appreciate him being there right beside her to cuddle up to and snuggle until soon falling into much-deserved sleep. Whether, uh, anything even mildly nsfw happens, I'll leave open. What's certain though, is that Whimsicott's giving Ventus a playful-pouting look for stealing her beloved Master's affection for the night that are actually the fluffball's!

Onwards to breakfast down the lobby of the Center, Shiva's enjoying a rather hearty one alongside the usual black and sugary-sweet coffee and lets all of her Pokemon eat their fill of healthy food and berries. The natural fae enthusiast's not really in a hurry as the permission from Dagny will come in tomorrow, so she's going to use this day to prepare for the trip and follow some other businesses. The ancient Shield she's going to carry with her wherever she goes.

The first thing: Humm, where could she find the Master Tutor that could teach Reflect to Kyuu
(a level-up move of his)? Likely someone who specializes in supportive or shield moves? But...where in Chreshire do they offer their service??? Reaching them with Tropius or Raphael won't be much of an issue for Shiva, but she first needs to know where to fly.

Speaking of Raphael, is it fine that I leave Raphael's reaction to meeting Ventus to you, Iron? Not right now, I think I want this to be a small scene later this Day. You know, due to the chara-development of the archangel having switched loyalty from Ven to Shiva.

Heart patch his thins. He takes Fate the Xatu and said to him. "So Fate. We have a meeting to do it. Stair City is our first stop."

Heart grab back the Luck Egg and Hypno Monocle he gave to those Pokemon and put in his bag.
You instantly FLY to Stair City, swooping down underneath the massive escalators leading into the city. A train roars through a tunnel halfway up the big stone stairway. Xatu stiffly lands and deposits you, then its head immediately swivels toward a small steel door with a little path leading up to it.

A crooked sign says "Chorizo."

The Master Tutor for Psychic should be able to teach psychic support moves just as well. However, you haven't encountered a whole lot of Psychic trainers on your journey, aside from Water Scimitars.

Mallorn rides up on Rapidash and gets you to sign for his secure packages. He gives each of you a handshake and a rundown of what's inside.

"These are very valuable things from within the League's vaults. Some of them came from explorations of the Skull Ruins or other dangerous areas. Some are experimental things not available for purchase yet. Ventus also has a surprise for each of you."

Ventus gives each of you a Tao amulet.

"The two pieces separate. The black side goes around a Pokemon's neck, and the white side around yours. For about 10 seconds, you will be riding inside the head of your Pokemon! This allows you to see each other's perspective on things. You get to feel a little of the power of being a Pokemon! But at the same time, you see how confusing the world of humans can be to them. If you're having trouble understanding a Pokemon, give this a try."

Mallorn:
"We're also working on TMs that can teach more than one Pokemon a move. We want you to help us spread awareness of this technology, and in return you'll get the use of it! These were custom tailored to you. They'll never break or run out of data, though they do have to have a Garbage Collection program run on them every few uses. Each of you is being entrusted with one infinite use TM, which you are to be the final arbiters of. This will become your signature move, something you might become known for throughout Creshire! You decide who gets to learn these moves - will you guard it jealously, or share it widely?"
Each of you gets to pick one TM that already exists in any Generation. You get an infinite copy of it. It should be a move that matches your character - perhaps a fast move for Nathan, a defensive move for Terra, etc.
If that doesn't satisfy you, you can instead customize the move a little bit, giving it a new name and swapping out some Power for Chance Dice or something.

A golden belt that can hold a Key Stone and six Pokeballs.

Instruments (your choice) from the Ruins that reduce a Pokemon's Will by 1 for purposes of being caught, as they are calmed by the music.

You each get a pack of rare Creshire Clash cards, too. They aren't Originals, but worth $12k if you sell them, or you can pick some holographic cards that remind you of your adventure and treasure them.

Unown of H, E, R and O carefully taught to spin around their owners. They aren't necessarily trained for battle yet though.

You each get a Bibarel who knows legacy versions of every HM, a breeder's treasure.

Mallorn also said the Gym Leader of Tumbleweed Town had a word for you, if you pay him a visit.

Here's something from Sarimanok's time: A Sacred Ash, produced by Ho Oh. It can bring a Pokemon back to life if they died within a minute. The League scrounged up enough for one for each of you.
They also decorate you with other relics of the King's legendary friends: crystals from the face of Suicune, little crackling energy tears from Raikou, bracelets from when Entei was a puppy. Orange, blue, purple, red gems from Sarimanok's crown, said to be a gift from a Legendary as well. Ancient daggers with hilts made from Pokemon horn. These are all wholly beyond price and brimming with Earthpower.

Then you get a gift basket each, with 10 Ultra Balls, 3 Enigma Berries, lots of really good Pokemon food, and advice and fan letters from all over the region.

"And remember! I'm still hoping to glimpse more legendaries, so if you find out the location of any, let me know! I love quadrupeds most of all! Well, it was good to get some time with you champs, goodbye and be excellent to each other!"

The door opens, and candles light up from the doorway to a sand-covered floor. These candles are the only light, and a man sits surrounded by geometric shapes drawn in the sand. As soon as you step inside the steel chamber, even before you close the door, the clamor of the city stops. It is very quiet. You can hear only the rustle of clothing and the breathing of yourself and Chorizo.

Right now, Heart calm himself. Fate was in Heart shoulder, looking at the man. "Heya. You must be Chorizo correct? My name is Heart. Cosh had mentioned you could help me in unlock my Earthpower potential." Heart ignite his hand. "I do not here to cause problems, but wanted to see if it is true or not." Then Heart end the flames in his hand. "Can you do it?"

Aww, damn it... Shiva doubts that a Water Scimitar would also offer MoveTutoring, unless maybe an ex-member? Either way, she trusting on finding someone who can help her with Psychic-Typed Support Moves along the way then.

Next!~ Another Master Tutor Shiva's eager to visit is the one who specializes in Ice Type moves - Where would that Tutor be located, probably in Ginger Town since the local Gym Leader is Zamboni with his Gym being an ice rink??

Quote:Mallorn rides up on Rapidash and gets you to sign for his secure packages. He gives each of you a handshake and a rundown of what's inside.

Ohhh, Shiva has just finished breakfast and has left the Pokemon Center when she is halted on the spot by Prof.Mallorn - she greets him in a rather enthusiast way and has a shaky hand when confirming the receive of the secure package by signing. She's just totally thrilled to bits by receiving a real and valid reward from the League personally, has to wipe her teary eyes a few times and just can't stop smiling to herself, so excited the natural fae enthusiast is indeed! Even Whimsicott has barely seen her beloved Master that happy. (Now responding to the items in the package in chronological order)

This Tao Amulet immediately catches Shiva's curiosity, and she also gives Ventus a glance and smile from the side that speaks something along the lines 'Did you invented this precious amulet, my love? Did you really create something that sounds and looks so cool?? Wheeeeeeee you are the best!!' She'd smooch and cuddle the heck out of him, but restrains herself now.

Once Mallor has riden off on his Rapidash (small flashforward), this amulet is the first thing Shiva wants to try out. She puts the white side around her neck, as described, and the black one - it's given to Whimsicott. "C'mon, my lovely fluffball, I'd like to know what it's like to be you and what's going on in your head, even if it's just for a few seconds!" (^0^)♡

About this Personal and Infinite TM... Uhm, I've got a mechanical question: Is it that the corebook decides which Pokemon can learn the move ( = only if it's in the Pokemon's learnable ?-moves) or is it like the Wildcard-TM that the Mistlord brought to us ( = any Pokemon that fits and/or can learn the move according to bulbapedia)? This influences my choice quite much, so I'd like to know from GM.
Shiva's more of the type of person who'd guard it jealously - a signature move isn't a signature move anymore when a lot of people know it too.

That golden belt for Pokeballs and the Keystone - can it be sold, how much is it worth in cash? Shiva's used to keep her Pokeballs in her pocket and the Keystone as a bracelet, that's why I'm asking. OR, alternative usage, she could cut the belt in pieces and use it for crafting/decorating crafts?

The instrument that calms Pokemon and reduces their will, for Shiva it's going to be a flute - a flute held in a light blue and being as clear as ice, the tune she'll be able to play with this intrument will melt even the coldest of hearts. When Shiva holds it in her hands she's getting pleasant chills and she's also impressed by the craftmanship of this flute.

Rare Cards for Chreshire Clash are something that makes Shiva's heart jump for joy! Her's are going to be some holographic cards that depict various Pokemon she encountered here in Chreshire and selected team members, as well as marking significant locations of this region; mainly the various forests and Elanor + its Sunstone Mine (Like Stadium Cards from the TCG). Way too precious to sell.

The heroic Unown make Shiva chuckle, that's just too cute. It's effectively reminding her on what she has accomplished, she who once felt like being pushed aside into the shadows by the obviously better battle-skills of the other group members, and who now does not need to hide anymore. She sobs a little and gentle strokes each of the four Unown before returning them into their respective Pokeballs. (I take these Unown are obediant from the description? Because they sport a massive Disobediance of 5 in the book o.o; )

That Bibarel is indeed a real trasure for everyone who's interested in Pokemon Breeding, Shiva can't be more thankful for this special exemplar! Ohhh, she's already looking forward to showing this one to her father. Maybe... maybe it'll also come in handy for her studies at Telperion?? Ayyyeeeeee!!~

The Sacred Ash... Now THIS is a real treasure. It's something that Shiva will gratefully keep in her stuff all the time, now she's feeling less worried about facing highly dangerous wild Pokemon as she's got some sort of safety belt shall things go wrong.

Those gemstones and crystals from Legendaries kept by King Sarimanok - Ohhhhh, Shiva can vividly feel the Earthpower within them all; and she's enjoying it a lot. They're much too beautiful and special to sell, those will be her personal treasure. They'll likely wander wonderful and unique jewelry Shiva could wear on special occasions.

Awww, and that gift basket simply makes Shiva blush and timidly smile to herself, especially those fan letters. She's going to read through every single one of them later when having found a clean and quiet spot in nature! Hopefully the male fans don't woo her too much, she's loyal to Ventus! (>///<) Also aaaaaaaahhhhhhh Enigma Berriiiiiiiiiiies!! She'd wish for a special Cottonee, but Elanor's in a pretty bad state... Hopefully the place recovers quickly.

EDIT: Added 75.000$Poke to my charasheet.
