[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Zorn smirks at the thought of being able to pound that Excadrill into the ground again.

Zorn definitely needs to rest after that Excadrill took a chunk out of him with that Drill run, though.  The promise of food that actually fits his tastes is definitely appealing to him, too!  No arguments from Zorn this time!  (though he IS a little too tired to argue much...)

Karen actually looks a little cross with Lucas when they return from the Alpico encounter.

"Why'd ya have to go and spook that bunny, Lucas?  I could have probably persuaded them to stick around!"

Lucas tries to defuse the situation as calmly as he can.  "I don't doubt you could have.  I just wanted to make sure they weren't going to bolt on us, because we were never going to catch up to it if it decided to run.  I didn't bring a pokemon with a Blocking move, so I had to be a little more...direct and use Victoria."

Despite sort of understanding, Karen still doesn't seem to be convinced that was the best course of action in that situation.

"Hmph."

"Hey, you caught it at least, right?  I'm sure they'll warm up to you eventually even though we had to faint it."

"...yeah, I guess..."

"They're pretty strong, too.  I don't think I've ever seen a pokemon use a Frost Breath quite that strong before.  They'll make a great ally, I'm sure."

Karen crosses her arms and does her best to ignore Lucas for now.  Lucas sighs and addresses everyone else.  "Well, let's keep going.  This isn't gonna be an easy hike.  We're almost there, though.  Just a little longer, and we should be out of this snow and ice for a little while."

Alpico Encounter Summary:
- Alpico was spooked and looked like it was about to run, so Lucas blocked off its escape route with Victoria (Magmortar), prompting it to attack when startled by the powerful Fire type.
- Alpico was KOed and captured by Karen using a Dusk Ball, and has been sent to the PC for now.
- Magneton took 5 damage during the battle.
- Karen used a Potion on Magneton afterwards.
- Karen and Lucas obtained 2 exp each
- Magneton and Victoria obtained 4 exp each.

-------------------------------------------------

Flash forwarding a little (feel free to flash back to the earlier conversation if necessary), the group eventually continues down Route 216.  No wild pokemon make themselves apparent for the rest of the Route, and the blizzard only grows in strength the closer the party gets to the entrance of Mt. Coronet.  The wooden bridges are beginning to ice over, necessitating careful crossing from everyone, lest they slip and fall onto the lower level of the Route.  Strong winds make the trek difficult despite the Route being short, and most of the remaining moonlight is spent reaching the end of the Route.

After crossing the third and final bridge, Randolph feels Amethyst's pokeball tremble, though the Absol doesn't force her way out this time.  Eerily, the Spell Tag continues to shudder slightly, too.  Randolph, more than anyone, has a feeling that whatever is causing this blizzard is close...the closer they get to the entrance of Mt. Coronet, the more restless the Spell Tag seems to become...

As soon as the party reaches the open area in front of the entrance to Mt Coronet, the blizzard suddenly picks up in intensity, overriding the effects of the combined Droughts entirely.  It's difficult to see in the blinding snowstorm, as well as difficult to hear anyone else over the sound of the raging blizzard, but everyone has a feeling that something is coming...

Stealth (+1 from Blizzard): *rolls* 7 successes

Kee's Alert: (4)(5)(5)(3)(3)(5)(4)(2) 5 successes
Kogeki's Alert: (6)(4)(4)(3)(4)(4)(5)(2)(1) 6 successes
Karen's Alert: (6)(4)(1)(1)(6)(1)(4) 3 successes
Randolph's Alert (+1 Spell Tag): (6)(4)(2)(1)(6)(2)(1)(1)(6*) 3 successes
Lucas's Alert: (5)(5)(1)(1)(6)(3)(3)(5)(2)(1) 3 successes

One moment, everyone sees nothing but white snow.  The next, the blizzard suddenly clears, it resumes hailing, and the ground begins to tremble!

Amethyst pops out of her pokeball and tackles Randolph, knocking him to the ground as a tall pillar of ice suddenly shoots out of the ground where he was standing!

Lucas yells, "Everyone scatter!"

As everyone dives for safety, more pillars of ice erupt from the ground, forming walls!  What was once an empty snowfield that greeted those leaving Mt. Coronet is now a prison, unscaleable walls of sheer ice crisscrossing it and dividing it into many different 'rooms'.

Everyone finds that they're alone in their 'room', completely cut off from the rest of the group.  Karen shouts from somewhere the rest of the party can't see, "Is everyone okay?"

"I'm fine!" responds Lucas from beyond another one of the walls.  "Banged my knee on a rock, but I'm no worse for wear for now.  Looks like whatever did this forgot to make a ceiling, so maybe we can..."

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!  G-g-ghosts!!!!"

"What the...!"

Karen's scream and the sound of pokeballs summoning pokemon heralds the arrival of two pokemon that appear in every room.  Ice crystals adorn their heads like jewelry, what looks like a large bow is tied around their waists, and their long arms have the appearance of having oversized, elegant sleeves.  They float just above the ground, ice blue eyes glowing menacingly in the dark night...though those that look at their eyes more closely can see that they're not as bright as those of Candice's Froslass, and that their glow is darker, more sinister...

It's impossible to mistake them for anything but a Froslass, the moonlight reflecting off of both their ice crystals and the 4 walls of each 'room'.  And the Ghosts don't look like they're here to Play Nice.

A Chilling Ambush: Coral Highlands Large Monster Theme - Monster Hunter World

Every encounter is mandatory, has a Cap of 1, and consists of 2 Froslass.  Lucas and Karen will pick the remaining 2 encounters that are not chosen by the players.  Every encounter counts as a separate battlefield from the rest due to the Froslass' icy prisons.  The current weather is Hail.  There's only enough room to summon 2 pokemon if they both have 5 base HP or less.

1. Next to a cave
Note: There's a cave in the side of one of the cliffs, and the Froslass are between it and whoever takes this encounter.

2. By the large tree
Note: There's a singular tree near the entrance of Mt. Coronet.  Maybe it could be useful for something?

3. Next to the entrance of Mt. Coronet
Note: Someone was lucky enough to end up next to the Coronet Caves!  ....except the entrance has been completely frozen over as well.  Rats!

4. An 'open' snowfield
Note: Nothing of note here except a whole 'lotta snow.  And two aggressive looking Froslass, of course.

5. Trapped in a corner
Note: The two Froslass are closing in on whoever is unlucky enough to be next to where two of the cliffsides meet.  There's nowhere to run.  (No mechanical penalties or disadvantages, but it might be fun to roleplay!)

One minute, Kogeki was enjoying a walking with his new companion Frost. The Blizzard was quite difficult to see the path ahead, but due to his mask, he has some good protection against such storm phenomenom. But then...ice hell come out. Since he got a better number in the Alert roll, Kogeki dive to protect Frost, using his own body. Chaos come, and then explosion. He open his eyes, enough to see everyone trapped in cages. Kogeki had no exatcly advantage, since he was imprisioned on a cage close to a large tree...with two agressive ghosts to face.

"Frost. Return to the Pokeball now. This might be dangerous."

Frost get starle in see his new friend had such serious face, but she simple nod her head and obey. She had no resistance in return to the Pokeball. Kogeki summon grab two Pokeballs: A Moon Ball, where Susano'o is inside, and a Luxury Ball, where Hime is inside. "Come out to fight! Susanoo! Hime! Lets show those ghosts who we are!"

Susanoo came out, and look at the ghosts. He gave a intimidated look at the them, and prepare his blades to be used against then.

Hime look a bit intimidated in face Ice Pokemon once more, but if her Master need help, she will stay determined and ready to face such difficult challenge!

Kogeki loose no time and activade the Mega Kunai, Mega Evolving Susanoo to his ultimate form. Kogeki unshreat the blade, ready to fight together with his friends. Time to put in use the resistance of his armor.

Raising Defense stat from 2 to 3, since I got the feeling I might need. Finally some action after such long time. Kogeki will use his sword too along with Hime and Susanoo. Time to show why Kogeki it is a ninja of Tsukinami.

Kogeki, Susanoo and Hime fight together against the two agressive Frosslass.

Also, I take encounter 2: Large tree. A little question Dragonstrike: Since most weapons in Tsukinami is made of Pokemon parts, and Kogeki Sword is made from Daikatuna scales, the sword is kinda a Steel-type weapon correct? Could you confirm that?

*Flashback!*

Ran only hears the tail end of the wee lass and champ's argument as he regroups with everyone, but it's enough for him to get the gist of it, and to wit his own two cent on the matter was to 'walk' (IE: ride Brigid) over and fix her with an distinctly unimpressed and unamused look, arms cross and his trademark grouchy frown in full force.

"Oy. Don't know the full deal is between you and Lucas, but it sounds to me like he help ya bag that big blue bunny we saw earlier. Possibly even sparing you the grief of it turning 'round to run you over, if it's temperament turned out to be Montuian instead of meek. Like it or not lass, he helped ya by risking his and his own partner's necks. If you can't appreciate that you can at the very least respect it, instead of acting like he ruined some special occasion for you."

"In other words, quit acting like a immature, over-dramatic child about that, Karen. And forgive him for that or not, get over it. We all need to work together on this accursed job of ours smoothly and efficiently, and in order to do that we need to be able to communicate effectively and without fussing at each of. Or in your case, without brooding resentfully over Lucas' not helping how you wanted, when you gave him no prior warning of your plans or intentions. Understand?

There goes the bristly blacksmith, defending Lucas and scolding Karen's (to him) needlessly foolish behavior, with his usual sharpness and acridness of tongue. Hopefully the message he's trying to bluntly convey will reach her, or alternatively switch her anger over to him and have the boy wonder patch things up instead.

Speaking of which, Ran only gives a BIG *Sigh* and a swift nod, looking grouchy as ever at the news, yet more determined than ever to march on to Mt. Coronet! Soon he'll be out this blasted cold and in a place he's all too equipped to handle!

---

(Since you dictated Ran nearly got skewered, I'll presume he recalled Brigid at some point in order to give her a break from carrying him around and continued on without her for that to happen)

As his Spell Tag became increasingly active as they approached Mt. Coronet, so too did Ran become increasingly apprehensive and on edge, eyes darting around everywhere and his shoulders hunched as he searched for that 'old lady's' friend, before it could Ambush them all and freeze them to their cores.

Fat load of good his vigilance and his 'gift' did him and everyone else, though, when they made their move.

"WAS IN DER EISIGEN, KÜHLEN, GEFRIERENDEN VERDAMMTEN HÖLLE ?!"

Translation: WHAT IN THE FROSTY, FRIGID, FREEZING FUCKING HELL?!

That was the dwarven craftsman's intial reaction as he's tackled all the way over to the Trapped Corner by his ivory guardian, disoriented by the impact before he his gaze turned shocked as he spied the frozen jagged pillar that was intend to hit him, and the icy gaol  he and everyone was now entrapped in. He was quick to recover at Karen's worried inquiry, getting up and shaking his head before sounding off with "I'm fine, lass! More cold and pissed than ever, but fine. Now can someone tell me what in the hell is happening, and why - "

He cuts himself off as two twin specters manifested before him, sharply drawing in a painfully cold breath as he recognized them for they were and he dreaded them to be: Frosslasses. Not just one, but two that were menacingly staring him down, and presumably that was the same case for everyone else.

Initially, he was rightly terrified of being more right than he cared for about his deductions of that crone's 'friend' (or friends, as was the case), looking at them like he swallow a handful of nails with a shot of drain cleaner.

Then, he realized they and/or their ilk was responsible for nearly skewering and freezing him alive, and entrapping him and the rest of his partners in their makeshift prison.

It was at that point he got mad.

Boiling, furiously hot and pissed off mad.

"....Yuki Onni," Ran growled out to the cold hearted spirits, drawing himself up to his full, short, yet still imposing height as potent RAGE and rightious INDIGNATION filled him to the brim, starring molten daggers at them. Amethyst, no doubt easily detecting the shift in her master's mood and recognizing things were about to get nasty, quickly rushed over to interpose herself between him and their enemies, looking worriedly and nervously at EVERYONE.

"An old friend of yours sent me to check on ya, and take care of you if need be. However I like. Since ya lot decided to try and turn me into a popsicle in the nicest and most pleasant way possible....."

Ran ripped off Brigid's Pokeball and summoned her before him, who only needed one moment to know what was happening and calmly place herself beside the Dark Prophet and looked at the Frosslass with deceptive passivity. He grinned as he did so. A most unpleasant grin seething with barely checked HATRED for the two prim specters before him.

"Me and my girls will give y'all an OVERABUNDANCE of my white hot and pitch black mercies. Brigid, Shell Smash, then bath those Yuki Onni in fire and brimstone. Amethyst, guard Brigid while she sets up with Detect, then give them spirits your darkest savaging you can. Defeat and end them, girls."

Like corner Ratattas, Ran and his partners will chomp their foes up.

Orders: Regardless of Initiative, Brigid will use Shell Smash first (Conditional Will Pointed), followed by an Lethal INFERNO on Frosslas 1 (also Conditional Will Pointed), then a molten hot Rock Slide on both spirits, and Amethyst will use Detect in an attempt to redirect and/or block any attack incoming to the coal muncher, before following up with Bite and Assurance on Frosslass 1. Brigid will get a Potion if she losses 3 or more HP at any point in the fight ASAP (if Ran can do it before she attacks with INFERNO, even if it puts himself at risk, then do so), or Super Potion is she loses more than 4 HP, but if she manages to go undamaged healing goes to Amethyst instead. I believe Brigid is holding her Charcoal while Amethyst is holding a Silk Scarf (fat load of good it'll do her right now, though), so factor the former accordingly. Also, spend 12 XP for Brigid to increase her Channel to 3, as her Moves need the  increase in order to hit. Ran's steaming mad at them Frosslass, so he's going to counter the frozen hell they inflicted on the group with his own fiery one.

+++++ Bit of a flashback!~ +++++

Just like Ran Kee doesn't make it in time to witness all of the conversation between Karen and Lucas, he was too busy dealing with a gentle old dragon stuck in the same situation - but it's enough for the vivid rave-guy to understand what's wrong, and it causes his delighted mood to drop a little. And his distinctive rotective instinct to flare up like Blaze-Ability on a hurt Fire Type.

Still however, he lets Randolph scold Karen the way he does, even if his inner voice urges him to step in with force NOW and end things for good. All that happens however is Octavia carefully walking up to Karen and lick her hand in a 'It's fine'-manner and rub her cheek against her hand comfortingly (and simultaneously covering it in fairy dust and shiny scales), and Kee himself raising an arm to shieldKaren from more harsh words once Randolph has finished his rant. "Lass gut sein, Ran. Enough tough love for this time." His expression isn't really an angry one, more of a calm one that STILL manages to clearly tell that he's not going to accept a 'No'.

He sticks close to Karen on the further way (if she allows), and even more so does Octavia - a ribbon of hers seems to be glued around her wrist, and she's humming a faint disarming voice to the lady beside her. Kee however is staying weirdly silent, doesn't dare to tossle her hair like he'd often do to comfort or tease her, but with the empathy she has she can easily pick up that he wishes to say something the whole time. "....He's right, however" he eventually breaks the silence, his voice tired and sounding twice as older than he is. His gaze meets Karen for sort, then he averts it again to concentrate on the path. "....Ran, I mean. As confident 'n sure of your skills ya may be, please don't start trusting 'em blindly and charge into stuff feeling like the whole world will comply. ....Alright? There ARE dangerous situations. There ARE Pokemon that may act interested 'n curious when they're actually just waitin' for a chance to strike. Please dontcha become too high-spirited." Kee figuratively bites his tongue before entrusting Karen with "Ya can believe me on that, since it has cost very close people of mine their lives." Now Octavia humms to Kee too and wraps a ribbon of hers around his wrist as he hugs Stella closer, he'll avoid and deny further questions however.

A few moments later he's back to his chipper-self, gives Karen a lights smile and does dare to ruffle her hair a bit/free it from a bit of snow caught up in it. "B'sides, ya'll be missed by at least ONE person if somethin' were to happen to ya."

+++++ End of flashback!~ +++++

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the sake of crossing all those icy bridges, both Drampa - who'll be given a nickname later - and Stella are gently returned to their respective Pokeballs, the very LAST thing Kee wants to be responsible for are fatal injuries on his own fosterlings. To boot that, more and more red flags are figuratively risen within him the closer to the actual Mount Coronet they come and the stronger the blizzard's becoming; WHATEVER's or WHOEVER's the cause of that is close, and they are closing in inevitably.

And THEN things go wild within splits of a second, way too fast for Kee to do something apart from getting out of the immediate threat to save himself. He's fast to shake fresh snow and ice from his hair and glasses while shouting an agitated "I'm good, ya better check whether YOU'RE good too, take care of yarself!" back to Karen. He was about to say more, but her screams for ghosts!!! cut it off.

Kee's not too suprised over finding out who ambushed and trapped them here, he appears even...amused. "Oh hello, dear icy and spectral ladies!~ I would have prepared some extra-snacks if I knew for certain that ya'll pay a visit, but uuuuunfortunately I could only guess for that visit." He doesn't even flinch, is brave enough to gaze into their remarkably darker eyes. "....Dontcha say a word, ya two." He coughs, then crosses his arms and gives them a smug gaze. "YOU TWO are responsible for that blizzard, now are ya?~ Protecting somethin' about this mountain, ordered or asked to deal with whoever's darin' to get too close?~~"

He's not even awaiting and answer and instead switches directly into full-fledged offensive-mode. "Well, I'm SORREH for NOT bein' sorreh, But TODAY ya've been asked TO FUCK UP THE WRONG PERSON, no chance in hell will I be stopped from scaling that dreadful mass of a mountain - NOT TODAY, ladies!!" (メ` ロ ´) "I'll be sorreh for bein' that rude to ya, but IT'S BEEN YOU TWO who started, NOT me!~~" (◕‿◕)

Beside that, it DOES interest Kee what or what-not may be within that cave the Froslass are in between.
Quote:1. Next to a cave
Note: There's a cave in the side of one of the cliffs, and the Froslass are between it and whoever takes this encounter.

For the nasty business of mopping the floor with who's standing in between him and said cave, Kee'll rely on a favorite combo (apart from blasting foes with massive sound) - BURNING POISON!!1!1!!! Stella and Draven are all for some action, especially the latter since it means showing off his toxic skills - the former, being a young and smol kitsune, is mostly fired up from Kee's confidence in her inner burning potential.

(Up for the Init Rolls!~ I assume Stella's Drought-Ability is unfortunately not strong enough to outpower the Froslass' hail, or is it?)

Karen has no comments on the scoldings, but she does pay more attention to Kee's than Randolph's, quietly nodding in response before going back to ignoring Lucas for now.

-----------------------------------------------------

Stella's Drought actually IS enough to override the Hail, as is Brigid's.  The storm caused by these Froslass isn't nearly as strong as a Mega Abomasnow's.  However, the Drought only affects those two battlefields for now, contrary to prior trends.

Kee can see moonlight reflecting off of some ice in the cave.  It looks like something in there might be frozen solid.

Froslass B doesn't seem to react to Kee's comments at all, but Froslass A...there's something about it that seems...different about its eyes. Like they're...slightly brighter, maybe? It seems to narrow its eyes ever so slightly more than Froslass B in response to Kee's aggression.

Cave Froslass Round 1 Initiatives
Froslass A: (6) + 13 = 19
Froslass B: (3) + 13 =16
Draven: (4) + 7 = 11
Stella: (2) + 7 = 9

The Froslass begin circling around Kogeki and his pokemon as the ninja draws his weapon.  Susano'o has his arms raised defensively, while Hime is hovering in place nervously.  The hail continues to fall around the trio mercilessly as the wind begins to pick up, causing Kogeki's attire to flutter in the wind as he stares down his opponents.

No words need be exchanged, and none are.  Only the wind howls as the two Froslass quietly stare down their silent targets.

Tree Froslass Round 1 Initiatives
Froslass C: (6) + 13 = 19
Hime: (6) + 10 = 16
Kogeki: (4) + 10 = 14
Froslass D: (1) + 13 = 14
Susano'o: (4) + 9 = 13

Amethyst growls at the two Froslass, who don't seem to react in any way to Randolph's angry reaction.  The two icy specters simply raise their arms in unison as they begin to channel their power.

Everyone also hears another voice call out in their heads as the battle begins.  Randolph recognizes it, too.

If you think I'm going to let you lot touch Lucas, you have another thing coming!!!  I will not let this injustice stand!!

Seems Randolph isn't the only one who's been riled up something fierce by these ghosts.

Amethyst is 3 feet tall compared to Brigid's 1 foot, so I'd definitely say that Amethyst can grant Brigid a little cover from ranged attacks.  She'll get Full Cover, so that's -3 dice from the enemy damage pools if they attack Brigid.

Initiatives
Froslass J: (5) + 13 = 18
Froslass I: (3) + 13 = 16
Amethyst: (5) + 10 = 15
Brigid: (6) + 7 = 13

Corner Froslass Round 1

Amethyst jumps in front of Brigid, obeying her orders without complaint.  She won't let disaster strike again!

Detect 1
(6)(2)(1)(6)
Amethyst protected herself!

One Froslass raises a hand to point at the sky, while one points at Amethyst.  Both hands shine with a cold, icy blue light, but the effects are very, very different.  One attempts to gather clouds overhead to override Brigid's Drought, while the other attempts to daze Randolph's pokemon.  Neither Froslass seems to make any noise or react in any noticeable way while doing so.

Hail J 1
8 - 2 = 6
(5)(4)(4)(5)(6)(2)
It begins Hailing once more!

Confuse Ray I 1
Amethyst protected herself!  She has no reason to look at those pretty lights!

Safe behind Amethyst's cover, Brigid shows her more daring side!  Letting these Froslass run amok just won't do at all, oh no no no.  She'll show them just what happens when Fire meets Ice.

Shell Smash 1
(6)(3)(3)(4)(2)
Brigid gains +2 Str, Spe, and Dex at the cost of -2 Def and Sp Def!

Randolph holds an action, waiting for a specific moment with a Potion in hand should things begin to go sour.

The two Froslass simultaneously point in Brigid's direction, not moving from their positions.  The wind begins to pick up and howl eerily...

Ominous Wind J 2
9 - 4 = 5
(5)(3)(3)(3)(2)
3 + 2 + STAB - 1* - 3 Cover = 2 D6
(1)(1)
(6)(3)(5) Amethyst takes 1 damage. 6/7 HP
(5)

Ominous Wind I 2
(5)(3)(1)(2)(3)
(1)(2)

(5)(2)(1) No damage to either of Randolph's girls!  Whoo!
(4)

Brigid walks out from behind Amethyst, her shell discarded.  She's much more nimble without her shell, and billowing steam masks what she looks like without it.  She opens her mouth, and a bright red flame can be seen within!  The steam surges upwards as she fires off her most powerful attack!

Inferno 2
(3)(6*) (Spend that Will Point!)
(6)(6)(3)(2)(5)(4)(6) Froslass I takes 6 Lethal damage and is Burned 3! 1/7 HP -3 Pain

Seeing that one of the Froslass has almost been vaporized, Amethyst will definitely follow up!

Bite 2
(6)(3)(4)(1)(1)
Froslass I takes at least 1 damage and... 0/7 HP

...vanishes into thin air?!  Huh?!

The other Froslass looks at where its companion used to be, its eyes virtually unreadable.  It's almost impossible to tell what it's thinking.  Then its gaze slooooowwwwwlllly turns back to its prey...

...and it silently points at them, the wind howling once more.  But this time, it's far, far more intense than it is eerie.  The wind mercilessly buffets all 3 of Randolph, Amethyst, and Brigid!

Blizzard J 3
9 - 6 = 3
(6)(3)(1)
5 + 3 + STAB - 4/1* = 5/8 D6
(2)(4)(1)(3)(2), (3)(5)(3)
Amethyst takes 1 damage 5/7 HP -1 Pain
Randolph takes 1 damage 5/6 HP
Brigid takes 1 damage 7/8 HP
(5)
(1)
(5)

Everyone stands firm as the winds howl and the hail chips away at their well being.  Brigid glares at the Froslass with a seething hatred that's only very rarely displayed by her.  How dare they directly attack her trainer!  She will make sure they burn for this transgression!  Amethyst is stoic as usual, and calmly readies herself for her next attack.  She's confident they'll make it out of this alive and unpopsicled.

Brigid causes the steam on her back to billow once more, and flaming hot coals launch out her back like a volcano, only to come crashing down on the yuki onni with all the rage of the fiery mountain!

Rock Slide 3
(4)(2)(1)
(5)(1) Froslass takes 2 damage 5/7 HP -1 Pain
(6)(1)(4) Froslass J Flinches 1!

Amehtyst leaps aggressively at the specter!  They have the advantage!  The Froslass is the one with nowhere to run now!

Assurance 3
(2)(4)
(6) Froslass J takes 2 damage! 3/7 HP -2 Pain

The Hail continues to fall.
Randolph takes 1 damage 4/6 HP -1 Pain
Amethyst takes 1 damage 4/7 HP -1 Pain
Brigid takes 1 damage 6/8 HP -1 Pain

Brigid uncharacteristically does NOT wait for Randolph's orders before launching another attack.

Corner Froslass Round 2

Froslass J Flinches 1

Single Inferno 1
4* + 3 + 3 + 2 Single Action - 5 - 1 = 6
(6)(5)(1)(4)(3)(1)
(6)(4)(2)(1)(1)(1)(2) Froslass J takes 2 Lethal damage and is Burned 3! 1/7 HP -3 Pain

Amethyst is getting up close and personal now, aiming to finish this Froslass off!

Assurance 1
9 - 2 - 1 = 6
(4)(2)(1)(5)(2)(5)
Froslass J takes at least 1 damage... 0/7 HP

...and also vanishes without a trace.

With the Froslass defeated, Brigid's able to take a moment to clear the skies again with her Drought before the Hail can do any more damage to Randolph and his team.  She then climbs back into her shell and nuzzles Randolph with her head, making sure he's okay.

Amethyst is scratching at the icy walls, trying to make some kind of dent in them so she can get past to help the others, but to no avail.

Randolph, Brigid, and Amethyst all gain 5 exp.

Kogeki look at his opponents, while trying to analyze his next course of action. He put his katana close to his face, like this image.

Kogeki also with his bug princess. "...I not gonna fail you again Hime. I will not loose you like I loose her. I will keep you safe. Thats the oath I made to Shimo." Said Kogeki to his companion.

"Susano'o. Hime. We must get ofensive in our style of battle. Hime, use Swords Dance in case Frosslass use a support move instead of a attack move. Or use Air Cutter to hit both foes in case she use a attacking move. With some luck, they get a lot more damage. Then go with Night Slash and Giga Drain against the most weakned enemy. And for last move use Roost to heal your wounds. (This last move Hime will use a Will Point)."

In case Hime get way to much wounded, she will use Roost sooner, still with paying one will point.

"Susano'o. Use Swords Dance to increase power. Then go with Hidden Power Water to hit all foes. Then go with Iron Head, Night Slash and Waterfall (in case Susano'o dont have enough dice to pull off the last move, he will use a Will Point)." All move get boost by Sheer Force.

"If they use a really powerfull Ice Move such as Blizzard, hide behind the tree Hime. I try to get cover behind you Susano, since you are a Steel-type and might be strong enough to protect us. Also Susano'o, use your HP Water to cut the tree along with hit those Frosslass. It might be strong enough to cut the tree and fall right at those ghosts, and maybe break this ice cage. As for me..." Kogeki had a fierce grab in his sword..."Time to show these ghosts what a ninja is trully capable of..." Kogeki get focus in dodge the first attack of Frosslass C, in case she decide to first target Kogeki for attack. If not, Kogeki will begin his onslaugh of Sword Attack on Frosslass D.

Kogeki also raise his Weapon speciality from 2 to 3 to have a better hold in his Sword.

Air Cutter: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Action(2)=8D6
Damage: Power(2)+Special(3)+STAB(1) = 6D6
Effect: Hit all foes. Hight Critical Chance. Heal 1 HP by 4 damage done. In case Frosslass use a support move instead, she will use Swords Dance instead of Air Cutter, so it will be 6D6 the dice.

The order of moves in this case would be: Ignore Swords Dance and gonna use Air Cutter, Night Slash and Giga Drain.

Night Slash: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Brawl(3)-Action(4)=6D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR(3)+SE(1) = 6D6+1
Effect: Lethal Damage (Hold). Critical Chance. It will be 8D6+1 in case Hime get the SD buff. Each 4 damage will heal 1 HP.

Giga Drain: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Action(6)= 4D6
Damage: Power(3)+Special(3)=6D6
Effect: Half the damage become heal. Each 4 Damage heal 1 HP.

Swords Dance: Dex(3)+Fight(3)+Contest(3)-Action(2)=7D6
Effect: Increase STR by 2.

Hidden Power HP: Special(3)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Action(4)= 5D6
Damage: Power (4)+Special(3)+STAB(1)+Sheer Force(2)= 10D6
Effect: Hit all foes, but other effects dont matter because of Sheer Force. This attack also focus in hit the Frosslass and the tree.

Iron Head: Dex(3)+Fight(3)+Brawl(3)-Action(6)= 3D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR (5*)+STAB(1)+Sheer Force(2)+SE(1)= 11D6+1
Effect: Dont matter because of Sheer Force.

Night Slash: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Brawl(3)-Action(8)=1D6+Will Point to make sure it will work
Damage: Power(3)+STR(5*)+SE(1) = 8D6+1
Effect: Lethal (Hold). High Critical.

For Kogeki he will use 4 Strikes using the Sword against the most weakest Frosslass. In case the Frosslass C target Kogeki as first attack, he will hide behind the Tree. He will also a potion in himself if things get nasty. I think the dice roll in this case would be:

Sword Strikes: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Weapons(3)-Actions(2/4/6/8) = 8D6/6D6/5D6/3D6
Damage: Power (3)+STR(2) = 5D6
Effect: Lethal Damage. But hold that one. In case Kogeki is way to close to Frosslass and get dangerous to be hit by Susano'o Water Sword or by the tree, he will get away to not be hit.

Edit: In case Kogeki get badly wouded, Potion on him.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Quote:Stella's Drought actually IS enough to override the Hail, as is Brigid's.  The storm caused by these Froslass isn't nearly as strong as a Mega Abomasnow's.  However, the Drought only affects those two battlefields for now, contrary to prior trends.
HahahaHA! Kee takes one look up to the sky, then moves it back towards the two Froslass with an even smuger smile. "Oh look, the sun came up to aid in meltin' ya two away, ain't that lovely?~ ...Well, for ME at last!~~ VERY nice support Stella, an extra reward-bag of snacks just got a nametag holdin' your name!♡"

Sunny Weather triggers, powering up Fire-Type'd moves and preventing anyone from being frozen solid.

Quote:Kee can see moonlight reflecting off of some ice in the cave.  It looks like something in there might be frozen solid.
Hummmmm.... That does catch Kee's curiosity rather strongly. Battles are dynamic and he feels he COULD attempt to sneak into that cave while the Froslass are occupied with his Pokemon - But he abstains because the chance to be caught and directly attacked with an icy attack if taking a wrong step is too high when he can enter the cave all safely once the Froslass are dealt with. Kee's daring and bold, but not dumb.

Quote:Froslass B doesn't seem to react to Kee's comments at all, but Froslass A...there's something about it that seems...different about its eyes.  Like they're...slightly brighter, maybe?  It seems to narrow its eyes ever so slightly more than Froslass B in response to Kee's aggression.

Cave Froslass Round 1 Initiatives

Froslass A: (6) + 13 = 19
Froslass B: (3) + 13 = 16
Draven: (4) + 7 = 11
Stella: (2) + 7 = 9
Very well then - this makes Froslass B the main target and the one of the pair that is aimed to defeat first.

"Ya know what to do, dontcha Draven? Inject your toxins and give 'em a buuurning sensation, then aim to use this unfortunate spectral lady's power against herself, don't hold back anything just because we're fighting ladies, THEY started. Play as dirty and be as mean as you like." Smol poisonous catbat hisses sharply, clenches his wings tighter around his body, and THEN leaps right into action at the very first opening, fangs bared and an almost sadistic smile on his face.

Accuracy Roll Toxic 1: Pointless
Effect: Badly poisons Froslass B, the longer the battle goes the worse the poisoning becomes.
Secondary Effect: Due to Minyan's partial Poison Type this move will never miss.

Accuracy Roll Venoshock 2: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel + Wide Lens - 4 Actions = 7d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power of the move + STAB + 2 extradice due to poisoning = 9d6
Additional notes: Reacts violently due to venom already pestering the foe's organism.

Accuracy Roll Foul Play 3: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 1 Brawl + Wide Lens - 6 Actions = 3d6 +1 autosuccess due to 1 Will Point
Damage Roll: ? Strength + 3 power of the move + STAB = min. 4d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Draven really likes this move. (◕‿◕)

Conditional Notes
- Shall Toxic fail for some reason, use Sludge Bomb instead of Venoshock; same Accuracy Roll, 7d6 in Damage Roll, 3CD to poison.
- Bloodlust-Ability will restore 1HP for every 4 or 5 points of damage dealt to a foe. Which was it again? I either missed to note it, or it hasn't been clarified yet.
- Any Ghost-Type'd attacks are NVE on Draven.
- The moment Drave falls to 3 or 2HP, he'll be patched up again with a Potion.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stella, being the last in the Init Order, is insecure and timid, glances over to Kee in search for some help every now and then. "Worried? C'mon, my most adorable fox, YOU'RE the one at advantage here, be a lil' more confidant in yar own skills!~ There's POTENTIAL within ya, ya inherited the good genes of your mother, and together we'll let those skills SHINE BRIGHTLY!~~ Let those snowy females feel your heatwaves and embers, be on guard also to mess up their worst intentions via d'sablin' their power!"

Accuracy Roll Heatwave 1: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 1 Inaccuracy - 2 Actions = 7d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power of the move + STAB + Sunny Weather = 9d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Hits both Froslass and has 1CD to inflict a Burn1 on each of them.
Stella also does hold a Fire Gem, but I kinda wish to save it up for more dangerous battles than this one. Does that work or does the gem activate automatically?

Accuracy Roll Ember 2: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power of the move + STAB + Sunny Weather = 8d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Another 1CD to inflict a Burn1.

Accuracy Roll conditional Disable 3: 4 Special + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 6 Actions = 5d6
Effect: Will prevent usage of the move performed last for 4 Rounds.
Additional notes: Disable will be used if any Froslass uses either Blizzard, Destiny Bond or Confuse Ray.

Conditional Notes
- Any Ice-Type'd moves and Draining Kiss are NVE on Stella.
- The order of her moves is dynamic, Disable will be used as an Action right after any Froslass used one of the attacks mentioned above. Heatwave and Ember remain as an order for the rest of Actions of this Round.
- Just like in Draven's case a Potion is there for Stella shall she fall to 3 or 2HP.
