[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Kogeki request Gama to act as a good ol Surf Pokemon to help cross the waters. He see Corphish eye them, and Kee desire in face Mareanie, Kogeki simple nods. "Understood. I confident you can handle that with no problems. I take care of Corphish. Karen, I can handle that Corphish. After the battle, I would like to take a look in the Alpico you capture. Time to Hime show her skills."

Kogeki than approach Corphish with Gama. "So, you been watching us. That means you will not let us pass unless we fight you correct? I accept the challenge if thats what you want."

Depending of Corphish answer, Kogeki Pokemon choice shall be Hime.
Also, I suppose it is time to raise some stats:

Hime Nature will be raise at the first time from 0 to 1 using 6 XP.
Then once more using another 6 XP. Since Nature is 1 x 6 = 6 of XP cost to raise again. So now Hime Nature speciality is 2.

19 - 12 = 7 of XP left of her.

Lucas and Scizor both agree that taking Tyrantrum down now would probably be a good idea.  Scizor volunteers to assist.

"I'll scout around, see if I find anything else that could possibly cause problems later.  Be careful, you two.  That dino looks meaner than Roark's Rampardos."

As Scizor and Randolph are not trying to be stealthy, Tyrantrum immediately notices them as they approach.  Standing over a small stream with smaller water pokemon cowering in fear below it, the dinosaur pokemon roars!  The battle cry echoes around the cave (Team K even hears it), and the large, rocky t-rex begins walking towards the tiny little creatures that dare to approach it...

Zorn stands firm, ready for action and completely unshaken by the giant dinosaur's display of power and dominance and glaring at the dino with a look of defiance.  Scizor simply takes a battle ready position.

Tyrantrum Round 1 Initiatives
Tyrantrum: (2) + 11 = 13
Scizor: (3) + 9 = 12
Zorn: (1) + 9 = 10

Karen will deal with the Seaking, so Kee has Mareanie all to himself!

Mareanie's sitting on the shoreline of the narrow path, posing a potential hazard to those who want to traverse it.  The pokemon's spikes bristle when Kee approaches, warning the approaching individual to back off.  When the intruder doesn't and summons help, Mareanie begins wriggling its tentacles threateningly.

Drampa simply begins shuffling along the shoreline, getting into a battle position himself.

Drampa: (3) + 7 = 10
Mareanie: (2) + 8 = 10

Oh yeah, that Corphish definitely looks like it's looking for a fight!  It begins snapping its claws repeatedly in a rhythmic pattern, almost like a battle chant of some sort.

Kogeki has a feeling that something's...off about this Corphish, though.  Something about that Corphish simply watching, seemingly waiting there patiently for a challenge...it didn't look like this Corphish was gearing up for a fight until Kogeki challenged it!

Hime's certainly eager for a good fight as well, though! Fight first, worry about the details later!

Corphish Round 1 Initiatives
Hime: (2) + 10 = 12
Corphish: (1) + 10 = 11

Ran scowls apprehensively yet defiantly at the dinosaur king, trying his damndest not to let it cow or Intimidate him into submission. Or worse, right into its jaws and stomach, yeouch!

"Holler loud as ya can or make as much racket as you want, ya lanky, pebbly-skinned lizard, but we ain't afraid of your tyranny! Zorn, show them what true terror is like with your meanest Glare, then slam into that hard head your Iron Head and show it your FULL OUTRAGE! Scizors, if ya can keep pressure off my partner, that be MUCH appreciated, and I'll heal ya up too if ya need it too! Now, let's dethrone this apex predator king together !"

Orders: Try to get Zorn to Paralyze Tyrantrum with Glare, so that Scizors has an easier time getting hits in and screw the big dino itself out of Accuracy Dice, then go with an Iron Head and OUTRAGE to really lay into it! If Scizors actually takes some hits for Zorn (Or gets SERIOUSLY wrecked by an attack and Zorn hasn't received healing yet), they'll get a Potion/Super Potion to help them tank the Damage; otherwise, Potion/Super Potion for Zorn if his HP drops by 3 HP or 5 HP (apply which one by your own discretion). Tryant King of Dinosaurs or not, Ran won't let it take him down!

Moves:

Glare
Accuracy: Tough (6) + Contest (1) + Intimidate (1 [Spend 6 XP to Increase it by 1, if he uses it!]) - 1 Accuracy - 2 Actions = 5D6 Base Dice
Effect: BZZT!

Iron Head
Accuracy: DEX (5) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - 4 Actions = 7D6 Base Dice
Damage: STR (5) + 3 + Life Orb + Sheer Force + SE = 12D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: N/A Due to Sheer Force

OUTRAGE!
Accuracy: 11D6 Base Dice - 6 / 8 / 10 Dice (Subtract where appropriate) = 5/3/1D6 Base Dice
Damage: 11D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: Rampage Move
Note: If necessary, spend a Willpoint on Zorn for him to ignore Pain for the duration of his OUTRAGE!

And quite eager was her indeed! She didnt get the chance to fight a lot, only in cases where she get typing disavantages: Against Larvitar. Weevile. And then Frosslass. But now she must be careful. That Corphish might be nasty tricks in his hand. Err, claws. Kogeki do notice that, and then give orders to Hime. "Hime, something is off about that Corphish. We must be careful. We can be safe against super effective moves for now perhaps, but for a such strong looking Corphish I pretty sure he might know a Ice Move or two. Every cautious is necessary."

"Instead of Ofensive, lets do defensive maneuvers! Double Team to increase your dodge abilities! In case Corphish use a powerfull Ice Move such Ice Windy, Blizzard or even Ice Beam, use your actions to dodge! And watch out for Knock Off! If he manage to hit your with that move, you loose your self healing move! In case he manage to use such move, it is your top priority to dodge at all cost! We must win this battle no matter what!"

"In case he didnt use any of those moves, your second, third and fourth will be: Screech to reduce his defenses! Also Leech Life and Giga Drain to restore your energy!"

Double Team: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Evasion(2)-Actions(2)=7D6
Effect: Increase user Evasion.

In case Corphish use Ice Moves or Knock Off (Extra Priority in Knock Off since I cant let Hime loose such item):

Evasion: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Evasion(*4)-Actions(4)+Will Point: 7D6+1 (Will Point Used!)

In case Corphish keep spamning Ice Moves, Hime will dodge the next two Ice Moves. In case the dice get way to low use Screech, she will use Giga Drain to absorb her enemy HP. Potion will be also used in case get way to dangerous with her health in half.

Screech: Tough(3)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Actions(4)+Will Point = 5D6+1(Another Will Point Spend!)
Effect: Reduce foe Defense.

Leech Life/Giga Drain: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Brawl(3)/Channel(3)-Actions(6/9)=4D6/2D6
Damage LL : Power(3)+STR(3)+STAB(1) + Screech(2) = 9D6
Damage GD: Power (3)+Special(3)+SE(1) = 6D6+1
Effect: Both have the effect of restore HP in half of the damage.

Notes 1#: She is holding Shell Bell so each 4 damage she gain 1 HP.
Notes 2#: Dont forget Speed Boost in the end of the round.
Note 3#: If all plans fail and things been hopeless, Kogeki will gamble with Final Gambit!
Note 4#: I put one facedown card and end my turn!

Corphish Round 1

As Hime begins to become a literal blur, Corphish is winding up their claws to whack her!

Double Team 1
(4)(4)(3)(5)(2)(3)(6)
+2 Evasion for Hime!

Corphish lunges!  Its claw comes barreling towards the bug, the blunt attack hitting with all the force of a well trained punch!

Power-Up Punch 1
3 Dex + 4 Fight + 4 Brawl - 2 = 9
(6)(5)(6)(2)(4)(6)(5)(4)(5) WHACK!!  Hime is almost knocked out of the air by the critical attack!
3 Str + 2 Pow + STAB + 1 Tough Claws - 3 Def + 2 Crit - QR = 6 D6 - 2
(6)(4)(1)(4)(2)(5) Hime takes 2 damage! 6/8 HP -1 Pain

Hime goes spinning in the air, caught off guard by how burly this Corphish is!  She buzzes angrily at the crab pokemon, who tries to protect their hearing from the high pitched noise!

Screech 2
(5)(2)(1)(1)(1)(6*) (Spend that Will Point!)
-2 Defense for Corphish!

Corphish recovers quickly though, and starts swinging its claw again to swat that nuisance of a bug!

Crabhammer 2
11 - 1 - 4 = 6
(5)(4)(1)(5)(4)(1)
4* + 3 + STAB + 1 Tough Claws - 3 = 6 D6
(5)(6)(3)(4)(3)(3) Hime takes 3 damage! 3/8 HP -2 Pain

Hime goes spinning in the air again!  She tries to recover, but Corphish isn't done yet!  Before she knows it, it's upon her once more!

Mach Punch 3
(6)(5)(1)(4)(4)
4* + 2 + STAB + 1 Tough Claws - 3 - QR = 5 D6 - 2
(4)(1)(1)(3)(1)

Hime's caught on to the pattern by now, though, and blocks the bludgeoning attack with her own claws!  Then she doggedly clings to the smaller pokemon and squeezes her prey.

Leech Life 3
(6)(5)
7 - 1* Def - NVE = 6 D6 - 1
(6)(5)(2)(2)(2)(3) Corphish takes 1 damage. 6/7 HP
Hime recovers 1 HP. 4/8 HP -2 Pain

Corphish's claws clack as Hime's Bug type move does almost nothing to it.  Hime tries to suck more life from the crustacean...

Giga Drain 4
10 - 8 - 2 = 0
...but she's too tired to summon the draining energy, and Corphish breaks free of Hime's grasp without much effort.

...only to immediately lunge at her again!  This time, however, it tries to grab her with its pincers as payback!

Vice Grip 4
11 - 8 = 3
(5)(4)(6)
4* + 2 + 1 Tough Claws - 3 = 4

(6)(4)(6)(2) Hime takes 3 damage! 1/8 HP -3 Pain

Hime's barely still hovering in place, exhausted from both the beating she took and putting so much effort into trying to lower that crab's defenses, while Corphish is still almost untouched.  The orange crab pokemon circles Hime and Kogeki, claws clacking in that same rhythmic pattern, patiently waiting for its opponents' next move.

Himes gains +1 Dex from her Speed Boost.

Tyrantrum Round 1

Tyrantrum lowers its head and charges right at Zorn before Scizor can react!

Head Smash 1
5 Dex + 4 Fight + 4 Brawl - 2 - 2 = 9
(5)(2)(2)(1)(4)(5)(5)(2)(6) SMASH!  Tyrantrum lands a critical blow on Zorn's skull!
5 Str + 6 Pow + STAB - 3 + 2 Crit = 11 D6
(2)(4)(4)(1)(6)(6)(5)(5)(5)(2)(2)  Zorn takes 7 damage!!! 1/8 HP -3 Pain
No recoil due to Rock Head.

Scizor steps into the fray, his claws glowing as he pries the dinosaur away from Randolph's dragon!  This Scizor seems to have invested heavily in speed training, as it moves faster than most of the party's pokemon are able to!

Metal Claw 1
6 Dex + 2 Fight + 2 Brawl - 1 - 2 = 7
(4)(1)(3)(3)(5)(4)(4)
2 + 3 + STAB + 1 Technician - 5 Def + SE = 2 D6 + 1
(6)(3) Tyrantrum takes 2 damage 13/15 HP -1 Pain
(4)

Zorn continues to Glare defiantly at the giant dragon despite being heavily injured.  The sheer confidence in that gaze is enough to even give that t-rex pause!

Glare 1 (Spend that experience!)
(5)(2)
Tyrantrum was Paralyzed! -2 Dex

Randolph uses a Super Potion on Zorn.  7/8 HP  Zorn gives Randolph a thumbs up.

Scizor's claws are a blur, just like the bug itself.  Blow after blow lands on the large Rock/Dragon type, but it just doesn't seem to care.

Bullet Punch 2
(6)(5)(5)(3)(1)
(3)(3) Tyrantrum takes 1 damage 12/15 HP -1 Pain

Time for that Turantrum to get a taste of its own medicine!  Zorn can hit just as hard as that Tyrantrum can, and he's gonna prove it!

Iron Head 2
(5)(2)(4)(2)(6)(6)(2)
(5)(6)(1)(1)(6)(4)(3) Tyrantrum takes 4 damage! 8/15 HP -1 Pain

Tyrantrum roars again, seeming to finally realize just how threatening these opponents are.  The roar is loud enough that it causes the whole cavern to shake and stalactites to fall from the ceiling!

Rock Slide 2
3* + 4 + 2 Channel - 1 Pain - 1 Acc - 4 = 3
(5)(1)(2)
5 + 3 + STAB - 3 = 6
(5)(4)(1)(1)(2)(2)(6)
Zorn takes 3 damage! 4/8 HP -2 Pain
Scizor takes 3 damage! 6/9 HP -1 Pain
(4)(4)(4)
(5)(6)(4) Scizor Flinches 3!

Zorn's fed up with this Tyrantrum now.  Enough is enough!  This.  Ends.  NOW!!!  RRRRRRAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!  He charges wildly, not caring how much risk it puts him in!

Outrage 3 (Spend that Will Point!)
(3)(2)(5)(3)(1)
(5)(5)(3)(3)(5)(4)(3)(3) Tyrantrum takes 5 damage! 3/15 HP -2 Pain
(3)(6)(3)(5) Zorn takes 2 recoil damage from the Life Orb! 2/8 HP -2 Pain

Tyrantrum begins stomping around in fury, trying to squish the tiny little ants that are causing it so much pain.

Earthquake 3
3* + 4 + 2 - 2 - 6 = 1
(2) ...thankfully, the cavern does not shake this time, as Tyrantrum didn't hit any particularly sensitive seismic points.

Scizor shakes his head, finally recovering from Flinching due to one of the stalactites clocking his head.  He attempts to deal just a liiiitle bit more damage to assist Zorn...

Pursuit 4
10 - 1 - 8 = 1
(3) ...but the dragon's rocky hide is far too tough for him to make more than a tiny, insignificant little scratch.

Zorn continues attacking with reckless abandon regardless!

Outrage 4
(4)(5)(1)
(2)(3)(1)(1)(2)(6)(3)(4) Tyrantrum takes 2 damage! 1/15 HP -3 Pain!
(4) Zorn takes 1 recoil damage! 1/8 HP -3 Pain

Its potential prey running out of moves and almost completely exhausted, Tyrantrum calms down slightly and tries to focus down the most dangerous threats...

Dragon Claw 4
11* - 3 - 8 = 0

Zorn manages to wiggle out of the way of Tyrantrum's jaws, thrashing around and beating Tyrantrum to a pulp in the process!

Outrage 5
(5)
(4)(3)(1)(2)(3)(2)(2)(6) Tyrantrum takes 3 damage and faints!
(2)(2)

Miraculously, Zorn survived the whole Round!  Barely.  He's breathing heavily and super duper exhausted, even more so than when he fought that Excadrill.

Scizor lets out a sigh of relief and finds a spot to sit down.  He pulls out an Oran Berry and pops it in his mouth while he takes a breather to recover his HP.

Randolph, Zorn, and Scizor all gain 5 exp.

Many of the wild pokemon that were hiding from Tyrantrum have also begun to gather around, awestruck that these strangers managed to down such a powerful pokemon in a mere 6 seconds.

Kogeki was watching the whole battle. Hime blocking one of Corphish attacks, and trying to recover herself a bit with a well put Leech Life. However, the crustacean Pokemon barely felt the attack. Thats make Kogeki raise a eyebrown.

Strange...Corphish dont resist Bug types. Not even in his evolution when he get weaker to it upon become Dark type. And that attacks and moves...Tough Claws Ability, Mach Punch and Power-Up Punch moves. None of these Corphish species can learn. Could it be...?

Kogeki make those questions in his mind, while he put a Super Potion and use on Hime.  Kogeki then get prepared for a launch while Corphish was circling around them. He then inquire the crab Pokemon.

"You know. You one odd crab. You resistant to Hime Leech Life bug me some questions. Among eighteen types of Pokemon, there is seven who resist Bug moves: Fire, Poison, Flying, Bug, Steel, Fairy...And Ghost."

"I also found strange you been specting me. Almost like you was waiting for someone to fight you...almost like you are waiting for a long time. And that moves and ability...no Corphish can learn them by normal means.

"This bring me to two conclusions: You are problably a Delta Pokemon, a Pokemon with different typing. Either Fire, Poison, Flying, Bug, Steel or Fairy. Or...you are not even alive and you are a Ghost Pokemon. That would explain how you resist Leech Life."

"And with the fact Coronet is been manipulating by something, with me and Hime facing ghosts before, I would not be surprise. So, how about you get out of the water and let me see your true form and nature? Either been a Ghost Corphish or other type of Delta Pokemon, I still continue the battle."

Corphish doesn't seem to respond to Kogeki's question, just continuing to circle him and Hime with claws clacking rhythmically.  It waits patiently enough that Kogeki is able to use that Super Potion before the next round of combat (remember, I have a very specific window of opportunity for trainer actions during the Round. This is an exception due to the nature of the situation).  Hime recovers 6 HP.  7/8

Eventually, Corphish does step out of the water as it continues to circle its opponents, however.  And...

...it looks like a normal Corphish for the most part.  The legs look a little thicker and more powerful than usual, but there aren't many easy to spot differences. It certainly doesn't appear to be a Ghost type.

Corphish seems to pay more attention when Kogeki talks about continuing the battle.  Then it clacks its claws in eager anticipation of the fight.
