[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(02-20-2020, 07:33 PM)Iron Wrote: If it's getting you stuck, I could swap it out with a more familiar Pokemon from Mason's team and save Fishur for a proper introduction.

I'll work with it.  Just still getting used to the idea.

Edit: I defend my comparison to otters as well, given that Fishur is part water type and otters are related to weasels.
Edit 2: actually, now that I look at them again, Buizel and Floatzel are weasel/otter based pokemon too. Huh. Never quite made that connection before for some reason. Hmmm...

Hey @Spiritmon, here's a few other things you could do to help restore that section of land Heart's in:

- Have the Lava Pokemon produce volcanic ash and summon lava from the earth in a safe/controlled manner. That stuff is chock full of nutrients and minerals that really make plants grow, so its great for environmental restoration!
- Before that, have the Sandshrew till the earth, bringing nutrient rich soil up and putting decaying material under the ground so it becomes more good soil in the future!
- If you have any Pokemon that knows Grassy Terrain, there's a move that'll help out with your job!
- Trevenant/Viktor + Your chara's Earthpower can majorly revitalize the land after you got all the prep work done!

And that's all I can think of! Use these little tips however you may!

Here's another move that would help out with fertilizing the land: Rototiller.  It's literally designed to till soil (and strengthen Grass types in the process)

Its a awesome plan sequence of both of you. Unfortanely, none of my Pokemon knows Grassy Terrain or Rototiller. I was thinking I could use Chespin to use a no-attack Grass Pledge, who is a move who calls the power of Grass to grow plants.

Skiddo could potentially know Grassy Terrain as an Egg Move, and it could possibly know Bulldoze to help terraform the land into a environment optimal for plant growth! Don't know until you request it from them, mate! Grass Pledge would also suffice, after all the prep work is finished, as a sudden verdant surge of energy is exactly what an ailing land needs!

I wish Skiddo could naturally learn Grassy Terrain (so it could actually reliably use its HA), but sadly, that's not the case in the core book. Skiddo didn't have Grassy Terrain at all at the time of the core book's creation, even considering the latest version [1.2.5], so it's not listed in it for the species at all.

As a result, Iron's also already turned down Yule (Nathan's Skiddo) getting the move back when Primal Lurantis was tutoring it. :/

Uhm... *timidly fidgets around*  But my Gloom knows Grassy Terrain thanks to Primal Lurantis, if you want mine and Shiva's help.

Oh yeah true! And right now, Shiva is free to lend a hand. And if I recall there is Flying Pokemon with her.

Aww it's pretty cute! Looks a little like a cross between a brown bear and a least weasel.
