[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
...

...all of that for nothing.  Brilliant.  Absolutely brilliant.

*sigh*

...I'm gonna have to take a break from posting tonight.  Had a long day at work, and I'm gonna need to destress before I attempt to figure out how in the heck we're supposed to solve this puzzle...

And I think I gonna take a break too. Been avoiding play for a while, but I will play some Skyrim again.

I feel exactly the same way you do, mate. I'm not entirely sure Iron intended for the time resetti to diffuse the conflict frustratingly so, but it practically has become the reality we have to deal with. And since I presumed that Nathan would KO Sari to assert his values and be a true hero (and now I realize you probably never intended to make a response of having Nathan KO her, which made me waiting on it pointless too), that means she's probably Fainted due to the reset not affecting the group unless you decide Nathan lets her have her way, which would only leave an even worse taste in your and his mouth. Ironically, no matter the outcome we decide from that Schrodinger's Cat like-conundrum we made, neither of us will be happy or get what we want out of it.

I say it again with emphasis: Bloody Lovely.

Believe I'm going to take a couple days break from the Game Thread from this event myself, as I need that time to stomach my distaste for this anti-serendipitous outcome...

I was probably going to type up a response soonish now that I'm finally home from work and had some time to relax and wind down (twas super busy because it's the weekend, despite both the mostly self enforced quarantine and the store limiting how many people can be inside at a time), but I don't see any point now, honestly.

On the plus side, Primal Shadows is gonna be starting in a few days, so I'll have plenty to keep me busy in the meantime regardless.

Oh! Well, I perfectly understand that, as I well know you work in retail and that even before the viral outbreak you worked long hours, so getting relaxation time is imperative for your mental wellbeing (and perhaps physical as well). Speaking of which, how is.....well, the pandemic impacting your life? I know it must be pretty stressful, but I don't know how much so. If there's anything I can do for you on my end to help you out, I'll do it for you mate.

And what a plus side that is! Huzzah! Have any new players decided to join up in private, since you made the Meta Post (particularly the people Iron forwarded to you from the Discord) ?

Not much has changed for myself, honestly.  My parents and sisters are stuck at home unless they NEED to go out, and work has been getting more careful about minimizing the risk of spreading the sickness, but my work hours (and the work I have to do) and lifestyle have stayed relatively unaltered otherwise.

None of the initial recommendations and ideas I had asked could join right now since they were too busy.  I opened it up to UCC to see if anyone there was interested, though, and I've gotten one player for certain.  They're doing a lot of research and reading themselves to prepare for the game when it starts on the 7th, and the self motivation indicates to me that they're definitely serious and excited about joining.  Smile

Huh well, then allow me to ask something @Dragonstrike, @Lord Windos and @Spiritmon (sorry for the @everyone, but it's warranted in this case): If you all are going to take some time to think about how to deal with the current situation, mind if I move onwards with Shiva and Ventus in that case? Yes I originally said I'll wait for you to have things resolved, but due to the happenings involving that spiral stone things have changed; I don't really want to nor does it make much sense if I were to sit there for several days and potentially longer waiting for you people to resolve things while nothing really stops me from moving onwards with Shiva, nor do I want to indirectly pressure you to get going because I'm sitting here waiting and being excited about moving on.

So, basically, would it be alright with you people if I continue with Shiva's next objective, which is exploring the labs and potentially/hopefully rescuing a Nucleon down there? Given how much she's been in a hurry to do so, it wouldn't make much sense if I were to explore other areas of Garlicburg before that, but if you're really against the idea of me doing that, I could just as well do a time jump and let her do other things now, while the lab-arc occures in between now and those other things.

EDIT: Furthermore especially adressed to you, Windos: Will Ven come with Shiva to the labs in that case or won't he? I'd love if he does, but it's entirely up to you, I'd just like to know for sure.

Well, I okay with that. Resolve that time trap will require lot of brain, so yeah, you can go forward Phantom.

Nope.  I want Nathan to help with the labs simultaneously. Just because we're in a diceless game doesn't mean things won't be easier if we work together instead of separately.

After what happened with the spiral stone, I'm not too much in the mood to participate in Iron's game for the time being, so if you want to move on you'll have to do it without my input. As for Ven, he'll tag along with Shiva, but he'd drag his feet on the matter until Nathan, Heart, and Terra come back from their trip to help reinforce everyone, and if he notices my other character's aging he's going to be rather alarmed (if secretly and vindictively pleased) and even more reluctant to explore Garliburg.
