[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Gothi's been at ease... So much for 'Psychic types HATE going into Wargame Forest', Shiva can't help but to chuckle over this in her mind, too amusing. Together with the further info and words from Ed she kinda gets the feeling that something's definitely not right here, something's very odd and weird, this trange happening is anything BUT a baseless conspiracy theory. Shiva and her Pokemon have seen these strange alienmon themselves, and she's certain that she was NOT imaginating this!

This questioning look of his turns Shiva defensive, yet she can't help but to smile. She acts disappointed and down. "There's nothing behind this theory...? Aww, too bad, the internet's full of odd reports and blurry pictures that seem to be taken with a potato cam, but I guess they're all fake and made up then, are they? That's a shame." Then she lights up again. "Oh, guess I should do better to deposit my dear Psychic Types before venturing again into this forest, right? Will do so!~"

Looks like Shiva's going to keep that fact that is it NOT a baseless conspiracy a personal and treasured secret. No need to shake up the whole island, the whole internet, the League, least of all whole Chresire by making things public!

...However, she's going to return to the spot and the weird caves this night once more, just to see these cool and unique alienmon one more time and play a beautiful melody on her icy flute to them again. And there's one things he wishes to try out: It involves her big lengthy boi Furret, her and his honed senses combined and his move that enables him to identify ghosts and Ghost Types to hit them with normal and ordinairy attacks: It's Foresight. Does something happen when Shiva asks him to try 'identify' these alienmon?

The creatures are not Ghost types, but you feel from Furret that something has changed upon the use of this move - only with a move like Foresight can these creatures be properly photographed.

Coooooool. In that case Shiva will indeed take a few photos of these alienmon with her cell. She does so very care- and mindfully, both because she doesn't want to accidently scare off these curious creatures nor make the photos look like they've been taking in a haste or with a potato cam or set up! She kinda feels that with THESE photos, she could shake up the whole island and League... Or become an idol in the ranks of conspiracy theorists.

Still, she kinda feels it'll do better if she's going to keep this for herself... Still, as long as the party's on Garlicburg, Shiva will return to the caves to meet these alienmon and play a bit of music on her flute to them, just because she likes doing so.

'Shellrock ruins'...? What's that, can she find and visit those as well, is something of interest at/about them? If not, gonna move on to the next thing to do/wished to do, which is finding an opportunity and place to do some whale watching. Maybe at Shoretown? And... is it alright and legal to train-battle againt a wild Wailord? Just for training, and without fainting... ?

The ruins are a bunch of fossilized trees and old sandstone pillars that have fallen into pieces. Plenty of Pokemon hiding in there, but no mysteries. They say it's possible to find Relicanth trapped in there when the water receded long ago. Sometimes when you touch the fossilized trees, the entire island shakes.

It is indeed legal to battle Wailord, feel free to do so dicelessly.

Shoretown is fairly small and has only the essentials, at least as defined by soldiers. All the buildings are deployable modulars like you saw in Charring Cross.

First off, you find that the ability is a lot weaker in Juliet's hands, implying that it's stronger when you have more individuals. Juliet can loop a single round of combat, but not an entire combat. At one point, she accidentally leaves the DIVE bubble, and even as she is gasping for breath she finds she is able to loop time back to correct her mistake.

There is definitely a range limit to it, about three or four battlefields worth of distance, getting weaker as it gets farther away. You can't target just one creature, it affects everyone and everything within range.

To someone outside the limits of the effect, a quickly-waning layer of some kind of ice-like substance covers the rocks and ground after the effect has been triggered. You sense that this "ice" is an ancient and powerful manifestation of Earthpower.

Anything else you want to know you can probably figure out through experimentation.

Could Heart able to increase the power, range and effects using his Earthpower abilities and also using the Helmet? Or maybe even copy the ability like that Water Scimitar woman we face who took some powers and aspects of a Nidoking in our little time travel adventure?

Sure, you could use the Helm to sort of bend time to make the ability last longer/go farther into time.

Would it then be possible to rewind time to the point where we'd beaten the Lumineon already to avoid fighting them again?

Did you have Juliet in your party when you first encountered the fishies?

If so, Heart can expend a colossal effort via the Helm to rewind to the point where the Lumineon are about to rewind time themselves. And all his Pokemon will be exhausted from lending their energy to him.
You'll still have to find some way to stop the Lumineon from rewinding time again.

If you had to go back to the PC to grab Juliet, then it's all too far in the past.

Has this given you a headache yet? I know my brain hurts from trying to get all the tenses right.

Juliet's been in Nathan's party the entire time.  He's not changed it since he got to Garlicburg.

Yes, but not from the tenses.  From trying to solve this dang puzzle using only what Nathan had on hand when we got stuck in it.

I did have another idea, though. Instead of trying to catch just one, catch ALL of them. If catching them after they were KOed doesn't work though, since you stated the Ability works like Aftermath, catching them without KOing them might also do the trick. It should only take 1 hit from the Sword to bring them down to 1 HP, and one of Nathan's Dratini can use Twister to hit half of them in a single move (and possibly Flinch them to lessen the number of attacks we have to worry about).

And if someone has to take a sting (or two), then I've got an idea for that as well that I'll state if/when that's confirmed.
