This brings up something I was hoping might come up - the Ancient Shield can protect Ventus' mind from the effects of the Eye, but only partially, and only if Shiva focuses all her attention on making it do so.

Nathan and Gallade are both breathing rather heavily after that little display.  Gallade sits on the spot and meditates to calm himself, while Nathan focuses on yanking the Sword out of the floor.

"...I don't like what this implies.  I need to talk to Mesprit about this at the soonest opportunity..."

Once he's sheathed the Sword, Nathan takes a few pictures of the room with the skewered symbol of the Eye unveiled that he can use for evidence later if need be.

Then she'll do exactly that. No way she'd let The Eye mess up her love's mind if she can prevent it!


On a side note, bar the Elemental Rooms (as I don't want to outplay checking them all) whatelse is there down this lab that we could explore further? I myself don't have anything more in mind, and Shiva herself has succeeded on what she was hoping to succeed on ( = saving a smol Nucleon from the League to take it into her care).

That's it for the underground portion of the labs affected by the radiation leak. Anything else would require going topside, and would just be the list I posted at the beginning of this arc.

Well, in that case, Nathan will get Dedenne out and get started on sending Dagny that update he mentioned earlier before the group moves on.  The sooner Dagny gets this message, the sooner she can possibly help them with not running afoul of the military.

Yo, Dagny, we just checked out part of that lab underneath Garlicburg where Alamanac and the Scims were doing some illegal testing underneath the League's nose.  Found a lot of rather concerning stuff.

Turns out that trapped and abused pokemon weren't the only thing they were hiding down there.  A Nuclear reactor malfunctioned and set off an explosion that killed a bunch of people and pokemon.  It seems like the only survivor was a young Eevee...which evolved into a Nucleon that Shiva immediately wanted to adopt.  She might need a little help with the legal papers on that one before she can leave Garlicburg.  Not sure the military is gonna be especially happy about her trying to walk out of the complex with a Nuclear type in tow if they find out about it.  I'm guessing we're gonna have a hell of a time talking our way out of this one...

That Earth Password Shiva mentioned was also one of two that was needed to open a secure Nuclear room where it seems the Scimitars were hiding over a dozen illegal Nucleon, all in varying states of health.  They need help, and soon.  The bare minimum care they've been receiving is only going to keep them alive for so long.

We found one more thing I need to talk with you in person about later.  A bit too touchy of a topic to talk about it over the phone.

Lastly, we found the item we were looking for as well.  Next goal is to retrieve the package from its hidden location once we're equipped for the mission, and before the Scimitars can reach it.

(That last remark should obviously be referring to DIVE and the Genesect Fossil.  Nathan just keeps the descriptions nonspecific for security reasons.)

We can schedule a meeting for whenever you're ready. I can manage to get paperwork for ONE Nucleon to be removed from the labs - the story will be you are bringing it to me as evidence. The League, of course, will have to handle the bulk of the Nucleon problem. Find a printer and have your Porygon call my Porygon.

Hello Dagny!~ I hope you're doing fine and good, and I'm sorry to bother. But, it's important! There's some stuff you kinda need to see, I thought you'd be the best to approach with that... And I somewhat need your help with one thing please, paperwork you see. I'm mostly free now before I begin to travel through the region on my own again, so can we please meet up tomorrow morning? If your own schedule allowed it only, of course!

Oh, and I've got some files that may prove that the military... Well, I'm not quite sure anymore whether they're really trustworthy. I'll bring them along, okay?

Dagny (or I) doesn't care who sends her evidence, and as a very prideful woman herself she understands how it might get competitive. She pretty much sends the same response to Shiva/Ventus as she sent to Nathan - she's willing to meet with anyone.

Oh yes, I meant consequences from the League's side, as in 'Do I have to fear that League-representatives will snatch it from Shivas protective hands if seen'. Normal people can fear smol Nucleon as much as they want, that's totally okay.

Well yes, I don't have anything more I wish to do within the lab. As soon as we come in contact with a PC = an opportunity for Shiva to log into her PC Boxes, she'll send this huge Incineragmortar towards anyone in the League as further evidence of ALmanac's/the Scim's shady stuff they've been doing down the labs. She herself does definitely not want to keep this Mon!
