Hmm....when you put it like that, I agree with you completely, but Ventus wouldn't. His 'Humanity First' views sees the exploitation of the land and Pokemon to be acceptable within reason, nor does he view the extinction of Wild Pokemon due to human encroachment to be all that big of a deal when Breeders and genecists can keep a species alive in captivity in perpetuity (and in the case of Mega Absol, Absolites could be synthesized in the future or not at all, and the base species would still exist in some capacity regardless). There's also the fact he comes from a region that has more 'progressive' views on human advancement and has a narrow view of helping and empathizing with people and Pokemon alike, and environmental conservation isn't within that purview. 

Finally, Ven acting and reasoning in that moment isn't entirely rational and he already set against the idea of being involved with the TITANIC COCANCER, and so he's not liable to change his mind until later on when he has a chance to calm down.


If Nathan sent Terra that entire reasoning via text, though, then I believe the big man would be quick to change his mind, so long as they assured him that by agreeing to the plan he is in no way further obligated to put ecofriendliness over them and their friends. He wants any reason to bring things to a peaceful conclusion, rather than either abstaining from the conflict like a bastard or everyone going full Plot Device on the colossal crustacean's arse and causing who knows how much collateral damage.

My statements in the game thread stand if nothing is changing.  Nathan isn't gonna text a long winded explanation at this point in time.  This isn't an appropriate time to do so.

Nowhere in his current statements is Nathan saying anything legally binding, however.  He is merely asking the military to keep this all in mind in the future.

Eh, regardless whether anyone misses a point or not, unless anyone can come up with a Plan B that does not involve violence or battling that Huge Cocancer, I'm leaning into going by majority vote this time and follow the current plan especially since the military themselves seem not oppossed to it. None is forced to help with this plan if they don't want to or if it goes against their principles.

And I agree that this isn't exactly the time to send long explanations over text.

I still can't wrap my head around Terra suddenly becoming a wannabe geneticist mostly because he picked up a Genesect, tbh...

If I can be honest? Yes. You are being rude. Saying at loud about Nucleon without asking Shiva or anyone opinion. Taking the charge of decisions. Trying to make everyone do what you say.

Simple. Because you not exactly helping in give everyone any choices. Just because that Sword give some bonus to you, that doesnt mean this make you our leader.

*Shrugs* Hey, I didn't have much planned for him in the goals department other than 'Being Group Protector' and 'Better Character To Get Along With Than Ventus' , so when things sort of.....happened to align in order for him to become a Private Lab Owning Business Researcher (In rough order: Nathan encouraging and igniting his passion into learning outside of Survivalism and Battling, his trips through time giving him plenty of opportunities to flex his Business accumen + his literally mind changing Encounter with DEOXYS PRIME and getting Edmundi, his inadvertent networking with the Scimitars and Cosh, and lastly getting Arete AND Gemini during the final stretch of the last portions of the Diced Campaign while also making a valuable partner in the Bug Tutor and getting plenty of Funding to research/improve said Pokemon) I just thought 'Eh, fuck it, this is going to become another primary goal and passion project of Terra's ' and rolled with it. Sorta similar to how Ventus ended up developing as a character, only it turned out lot better imo.  

Terra's going to stick around and not immediately head back to his Lab to process his new samples (And study those nasty Lumineon....), as he both wants and feels obligated to help find and secure the Genesect Fossil with Nathan, Ventus, and Shiva (Not entirely sure if Heart ever got in on the whole Genesect Conspiracy or not right now, tbh). That, and as probably the only known owner/partner of a living Genesect, he's rather interested in having a part in studying and possibly even reviving the ancient remains for obvious reasons and from his newly found academic curiosity. Still not helping out with the TITANIC COCANCER along with Ventus anymore, though.

Also, @Spiritmon, no more snipping at Dragonstrike. They don't deserve it, and frankly I'm not please with them or Nathan getting ganged up on at this point. Just because Ven is such a paranoid and vehemently 'anti-anything he dislikes' person and Terra's is an overly honorable and dutiful man  that they can't participate in the amended plan anymore doesn't give everyone free reign to start dogpilling them for their posts. Heck, I liked them OOC and regret that my characters are being pillocks now, so I'm not going to be the one to add more insult to injury here! 

Saying that, I would like to apologize to you now Dragonstrike for the drama I caused you. I didn't intend for that to happen beyond my characters just changing their mind, and I would like to know how to make it up for you, now or in the future. Despite how rough things can get between us, I genuinely don't mean you any ill will and desire more than anything to get along with you in our games, so I hope you're not too upset for me now.

If we consider my two characters 1 'vote' against supporting Shiva's plan, then it (the plan) should still go into effect from a OOC perspective, as Dragonstrike, Spirit, and you yourself are all a-okay with it. The only thing that will have relevance is Terra getting 'picked up' by Ventus (Read: Plucked off of Tropius by Lucifer) as they fly away towards they hypothetical DIVE sight for the Genesect Fossil and wait for Nathan (and possibly Heart) to join them while the rest deal with the TITANIC COCANCER and the military. Simple as that, really.
