[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Quickbeam has beanbag chairs, a standing desk, a big comfy couch, a reclining couch, stools, and more traditional chairs, too. He is perched on a stool himself, with his limbs drawn up so he looks a bit like a giant in too small of a space.

"Clear shell, black spots, slight peach fuzz perceptible to the touch. That's a Pancham Egg! The species was practically unknown in Creshire until recently, as were most Kalos mons. Is that what you have to show me, a Pancham Egg?"

Nathan's packed up his things and started leaving by this point, continuing to talk as he walks past Terra.

"I still don't agree with all of your actions, but I'm trying to understand why, and move on from those past events.  As my dad said, there's little more valuable in this world than friendship.  I'd recommend you keep that in mind too, and I hope Ventus eventually realizes that as well.  There's not much more I can to say to him at this point."

Quote:Genesect trots along behind you with large steps, his hinged legs folding up to his haunches with every step, so he is alternately stretched out and hunched up.

Nathan holds up a hand to stop Genesect before they leave the room.  "Before we leave this room, Genesect, I'd like to ask you to stay in the pokeball I registered your information to for a little while.  It would probably be better in the long run if the general public doesn't see you right away.  You might frighten people, or attract the attention of the Scimitars before we're ready to face them.  Powerful Pokemon such as yourself tend to draw a lot of attention when they're spotted."

Genesect allows itself to be withdrawn into the Pokeball for now. Where to?

Beanbag chairs! \(^0^)/ Shiva takes seat in one of these, kinda enjoying how comfy it is. Whimsi does in another, immediately cuddling into it with all of her fluff.

Shiva carefully shakes her head towards Prof.Quickbeam's guess about a Pancham Egg being the subject. "Uhm, not quite. In some degree yes, in others not exactly... *another semi-embarrased cough* L-let me just show you, may I?" She draws a particular Pokeball from her bag, and out of it comes in a beam of white light is...

...Pangoro, obviously.

He's looking fierce, he's looking strong, he's looking all ready to pummel some lessons straight into nasty troublemakers, but he's also looking rather gentle and 100%ly obediant towards Shiva. He even lets her pat and pet his furry shoulder as a greeting.❤

"Y...you see, he's been proud and noble straight from the Egg! I mean, even more proud and noble than any other young Pancham my dad has ever hatched from an Egg. And he has evolved into his current form relatively quickly, definitely faster than I would have thought he would! B...but, I guess that's a good thing! In fact he has been growing kinda well and fast, a bit like bambus itself." Shiva fondly ruffles his side a little more, being all silently very proud of Pangoro.

"Oh, and... There's been also some curiosities with his moves." She scans Pangoro with her Almanac and lets Prof.Quickbeam see. "Bullet Punch and Drain Punch are the moves he knew right away... And he has learnt how to Outrage against anyone who dares to wrong Nature. A-all of these moves are rather unique and sought-out, as they require some careful breeding and especially-selected parents to have the young Pancham know the right from the Egg, as the genes that code these moves are very recessive. W-wherever or whoever that Egg Pangoro hatched from comes from, must have putten some thought into it."

From day and night, Heart did his best to master his flaming powers. He feel the air. The earth. And the water. He keep the heat in his body by doing some martial training with Rose, trying to combine his fire power, to go along with his fists and kicks.

While Shripumpy do his thing to keep water raining in the field, Heart and Rose was trying to keep the flame not to faint. Each one delivering punches ignite with flames with each other cheeks. Some of Hearts clothes get a little burned, but he still keep fighting, and Heart order Rose to not hesitate in continue to fight and punch. Rose feel not comfortable in beat up her master, but more than anyone she know her Master flaming will to continue. So she stand firm in the position and keep fighting.

During Primal Kingdra Training:

Heart summon flames in his feet and send torrent of flames right at Rose, who dodge the attack with success using her speed. Rose then from her mouth summon a flamethower, but Heart was already capable of see that and from his hand a shield appear: His version of King Shield, Lancelot signature move. Normally, a mere human receiving a flamethower would become a charred corpse, but due to Heart resistance to heat, Shrpumpy water who reduce fire power, and they currently training in the sea under Primal Kingdra command, Heart who make sure he was prepare with Iron Defense in his body, and the defensive power of King Shield, even Heart can survive some of Rose Fire moves. They continue to train more and more, even in a certain moment where they run at each other and punch at each other faces, smiling and ready to continue!

He train under the rain made by Primal Kingdra, trying to create flames even when a piece of wood is wet.

With Primal Arcanine Training:

Both Heart and Rose was running around from a place to another, trying to survive Primal Arcanine intense flames. In this volcanic place, a Fire Primal in its top of his power! Even more if that Primal is ancient like Primal Arcanine, even if Primal Arcanine is not using his full power. Otherwise, even Heart fire resistance would be useless.

Heart defend as best his could, letting the heat of the mountain fuel his flames. Once again under the effects of Shripumpy water to reduce the firing power.

He also train by trying to run around the flaming cavern, trying to be in contact with his element, without shirt. Only with pants with him, trying to be in sync with such power.

Primal Lurantis Training:

Heart also came to Primal Lurantis resting place, to also train under Primal Lurantis guidance. Heart is no fool, and he know how much devastating fire can be. So he must learn to control his anger and hatred, because like fire, they both consume and can destroy everything it touch. He was training with Rose against Fate and Gargryph who was willing to help them.

Xatu using his wings to disperse Heart and Rose flames, while Gargryph focus in try to send rocks flying against them (not enough to kill them, but enough to make Heart have a purple eye from the tough training). Rose was capable to break some of the rock with her punches, while trying to make use Fate wind attacks and use as fuel to his flames, but always trying to make sure the flames was not strong enough to make Lurantis paradise do not get burn.

Heart want to make sure he dont forget one thing: To not let his desire to get strong blind him for the ideals he sworn to protect. His flame is meant to protect and save the innocent, like a warm heat. Not to be a tool of destruction like the Scimitars or what Deoxys did.

And so was Heart training. Trying to train his control over the flames even difficult situations. Trying to be capable to fight even without Pokemon. And to not loose himself to anger and revenge.

"Haha, ho there! That's no Egg!"

He looks at your Dex.

"Hmm, you're exactly right, I'm sure of it! These are extremely rare, extremely difficult moves and skills! We've got a legendary Breeder on our hands. I don't think this was bred at the Daycare in northeast Creshire, nor our small one at the University. Somewhere out there, is someone with extraordinary skill in breeding!"

This kind of training has been a long held goal of Heart, and this is a great combination of powerful tutors and places. You know Lurantis will probably kill you outright if you let the flames get out of hand in this place, so you walk a razor's edge and learn all the faster. 8 character XP for Heart.

As Phantom is finishing her discussion with Quickbeam, I think we can begin preparing for the next arc/Week.

Shiva's curiosity and interest is efficiently hooked the very moment Prof.Quickbeam mentions Pangoro being the 'work' of some Legendary Breeder. She's thrilled to bits about these news!! "Oh, OH, yesyes, Prof.Mallorn himself mentioned that the Egg Pango hatched from is likely not from around here! ヽ(°〇°)ノ P....professor, do you think there is a way this Legendary Breeder (there's a lot of amazement and respect in her voice when she speaks out that title) could be identified in some way? Or contacted or such, do you have any means? S...such skill this person must have, even my dad would be thrilled to learn some new tricks from them!"

She becomes more timid and careful when speaking out another small request: "Oh, and... May I take a look at these Eggs with the PC screen you've got over there, maybe, please? >//< I wish to study the breeding and care of Pokemon myself a...after all! If they're not top-secret or private, that is...." She's mostly interested in what these screens display and whether she can identify any of the Eggs with these screens.

"I'm not sure how to track down this breeder, but I bet there's a way! If you have the eggshell still, we could analyze it to see if there are any trace elements that might give us a clue. And we could try to figure out what parents and environments might be necessary to produce some of those moves. Something draconic, maybe? to explain Outrage? I think so."

He flips through some notes and runs some tests this Week, and you discover that the Legendary Trainer must be someone very skilled with dragons indeed, similar to Nathan's bloodline concept. They would need to raise the egg around dragons and lots of gold.

"Transparency is my middle name! Look at whatever you want in this office, and feel free to ask questions!" The screens display close ups of each egg shell, allowing you to identify the species from clues - a bit of white fuzz is a Lilipup Egg, a hard shell is a Squirtle Egg, an egg with moving patterns is Spinda. And there are a few you don't recognize - these must be from Kalos. However, the screens have a button to identify the species using DNA - you've got an Egg here that will hatch into a beautiful uniquely bred Vivillion, and a steely Honedge with ancestry from the Time of Kings.

"That Honedge might be a good starting place when it hatches! To look for your legendary breeder, I mean. The student volunteer who brought it to me said she got it from a trainer with a Dratini."

Where to?  Probably someplace quiet where they're unlikely to be bothered while Nathan is helping Genesect to adjust and prepare.  That'll probably take up the rest of his time for the week.
