Uh uh…yeah, the plot of SwSh never happened. I alluded to this when the big bad selves his plans in the prologue and him becoming best buddies with Neo Unova (and their region too by extension) to tech up their regions together. The Armament Dogs never got involved, the Claw from Hell is still ‘not a problem’ , and Galar as a whole adapted to the new world order more along the chairman’s and Enigma/Human First beliefs. Chairman is still alive and well too due to Plot reasons, while the major figures of SwSh … *Shrugs*
Kalos is also friendly with Neo U, but guardedly so, and their general culture remains from the games. Team Flare still tried to doom the world, so the region got its wake up call, but it ended up being attributed to more an insane mad man than it completely stigmatized Teams and extremist measures.
I'd still be inclined to say that Sonia could have gotten the title of Professor from her grandmother and written at least part of what she'd discovered about the twin heroes. Since the main portion of SwSh's story is actually almost completely unrelated to Victor/Gloria's journey until the climax (very stupid story writing decision, btw), most of the discoveries concerning the twin heroes could have actually been made (the key ones being the statues behind the mural Bede destroyed and the old tapestries in the oddest places). Sonia might be viewed as a bit more... eccentric among her peers without the solid evidence of the actual doggos existing though...so maybe she's just not the main professor in Galar these days?
Victor/Gloria and Hop don't even get the Legendaries until the postgame, so Leon could still have been dethroned as the champion (though with Rose's company's still operating as normal, Galar's Battle Tower might not be a thing here)

Oh - she’s also carrying a copy of “Telepathy and Translation,” her manuscript-in-progress. If you’re hesitant, she’ll show you that as well. Currently it contains explanations of Psychic Signatures and the basic pointers of translation I put forth earlier.

Hmm…I’m half inclined to say Rose and Co would’ve classified the Doggi Research at some point due to Enigma (friends, but not stupidly so) , but that doesn’t preclude Sonia becoming a Professor. Just one working more closely and privately with the Powrrs that Be. Legit, but out of focus from the region and world at large.
Rose holds both the Chaiman and Champ Title, while Leon us one of his Champion Class Trainers that can sub in as Champ and splits that side of the workload. They’re pretty chummy, all things considered, and help balance out each other’s quirks and flaws. Leon don’t like Enigma, tho, which is a sore point between them . Hop has become a E4 Class Trainer, details pending.

There is just one conflict with that with something I brought up IC on day 1 during the conversation with Oz, though: there's a copy of Sonia's book on the twin heroes in Naranja Academy in Scarlet, and I'd assumed at the time that at least some part of that research would have still been published, and that Seddi would have had an opportunity to read it even if it wasn't complete due to the Eternatus fight never happening.
Yeah, that sounds like Rose and Leon. Nothing to add there really. Since we're on the topic of Rose and his crew, I would not be surprised if Oleana is still around taking care of the boring side of Rose's CEO duties (and deal with anyone who dares smudge his name). I doubt Rose's brother Peony needs to still be around though because (with all due respect) he's rather unimportant, unlike one of his daughters.
Speaking of, that whole thing with Penny being an exchange student is probably going to actually add to some of the drama around Paldea's neutrality on the world stage, given that her uncle is on good terms with Neo Unova and she has rather important friends in Paldea.

Cool, because the type of research that Sylvia is going to be doing is going to end up being very important here. Seddi's on a bit of a political knife edge thanks to Paldea's neutral tendencies on the world stage. And he needs to be very careful around the Neo Unova-Creshire conflict in particular. Don't want to bring down the wrath or either Enigma or the Fairy King if he can avoid it!
Working with a Scimitar though (generally disliked by pro-Creshire) and having a Virizion lookalike (very suspicious potentially for pro-Neo Unova) in his party? Yeah, things could get dicey very quickly if he says the wrong things to the wrong people...

I could see her publishing some of her research that invariably caught Rose’s eye and lead to her promotion of sorts. So long as the world at large only knows bare bones and not 100% verifiable data then he wouldn’t have tried to scrub everything she did.
You know better than I about SwSh , so I’ll leave those threads as they are for now.
Oh boy, more geopolitics! Yeah, Penny would be in a thorny pickle indeed, though thankfully the Acadamy is fairly inclusive and personal details like that are kept on the down low to the public. So long as you are not openly Pro Enigma or a Team sympathetic/ extremist most students and staff know to overlook such things in favor of making friends and getting that XP to becoming top trainers. Exception do exist, though…

I love a good ol' 'contradiction be-gone!' convenience ;P Any further mentions of that book from Seddi's side shall definitely continue to be vague and incomplete! Can only learn so much from old tapestries and statues after all.
Quick rundown on the big names I mentioned if you need it:
- Oleana: Rose's secretary. Very vain, and looks up to Rose to the point of practical infatuation. Comes from a seedy background and is an extremely ugly person underneath all that superficial beauty, but Rose gave her a second chance that she will never forget. (just don't make her and her Gmax Garbodor angry!)
- Peony: Rose's brother who's obsessed with old legends and adventure. A bit of a nobody outside of his connections to Rose and Penny, despite being a former Gym Leader and Champion of the Galarian League. Presumably not on good terms with his brother since he dropped the Champion title after Rose became Chairman, and he dislikes being compared to his brilliant older brother in general. Was hilariously mind controlled by Calyrex as a means of communication, and theorized that the Dynamax Adventures' Legendary pokemon appeared there primarily due to the influence of Necrozma (indirectly linking the national dex legendary availability in the CT to Ultra Wormholes, similar to how ORAS's natdex Legends were popping up due to Hoopa's portals). Much like his brother, he's a Steel type specialist with a Copperajah as his signature pokemon.
- Peonia: Penny's sister. Not all that interested in her dad's adventures, even though he drags her along on them anyways. Spends the entirety of the Crown Tundra's story helping the player out with random Dynamax raids instead of following along with her dad's adven-tour. Uses a Tyrantrum.
Man, don't you just love when seemingly unimportant details suddenly have more potential meaning? (: Quite the tightrope that Seddi's on, that's for sure...

I'm still trying to decide the details on Hop, but I do know that both Victor and Gloria never obtained their Legends or any Pseudos in their careers, relying on using the more 'common' and 'under appreciated' Mons to show the world that even so called 'weak' Mons and overwhelming support and tactical acumen with them could topple titans and win it big. They eventually became Champion Class Trainers before retiring as they got older, and they subsequently passed away sometime before the start of the campaign.
By and large they were adored by the public and became cultural icons for their achievements and rather folky, all accepting attitudes, but they were seen as lovable eccentrics at best in their early careers. As Galar became increasingly capitalistic and Pro-Human, their attitudes where considered more 'archaic' or even 'Cheshirian' , that Region not being well received due being given the cold shoulder and subtle menace from The Fairy King due to aligning with Enigma. Today in Galar if one has sentiments close to the 'Common Duo' , they're called either 'Commoners' , 'Plains Man' , or 'Common Folk' and are somewhat ostracized by the non-Trainer and non-Rural people. Notably, though, the Local League, Chairman Rose, and his organizations as a whole do not, as their leadership came from that era and they respect such Ideals and Truths, even if it clashes with the new Beliefs that were building a bright, sustainable future for their people...
Hop, having caught the Legends and several powerful Mons, was the only one remaining of the trio, and had to learn how to stand tall in spite of losing his best and greatest friends ever. He's not as energetic as he once was, being rather subdued compared to his brother, but he's still cheerful enough and is ALWAYS looking to guide the next generation to become the best and better than the last.
