[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands
(06-20-2025, 05:02 AM)Spiritmon Wrote: So many deaths...But still...Me and Oz are determined to help in this final fight. We must determine our strategy against that enemy. Fortuna will probably be necessary in the next fight once more due to multiple attacks. Glinda and Persephone is also a option due to access to some useful other types of moves, but it's typing could be a liability. Meza could help due to ice typing and ice/dragon moves, but she is still young...

As for XP I will have to think later since there quite a lot of things to resolve in the information. And there Lozpzu to help. Oz will for sure offer her Bell to help the Priestess in restore Lozpzu. Oz will try to help as many people she can.

Im can try to command all 3 dragons by having gloom do what he wants so I dont have to give him orders. This is definitly the place to use our single use nuke attacks. Nalu would be less useful due to relying on water and status.

Maybe. But I also very worry about one thing. Since Oz was the one to deliver the final attack against Sand-Goth, there the possibility it will target her since it probably consider her the biggest threat, or one of its biggest threats. So I don't feel comfortable to carry with me one Bernard Pokemon because I feel Oz would put a them in a bigger danger by possible be a target against the enemy. It will probably help to take the attention of the enemy against everyone, but any Pokemon I carry could be a target too. @PhantomUnderYourDesk, I can't put your partners on risk like that my friend.

Question people: What we gonna do now? Hunt down what is the left of the Leaders or go straight to the Superboss and put a end to this nightmare? One way or another we must put a end to this War. Specially now since we now know the strengths and weakness of the master of this place.

And there the big whale to deal with

Do we know how Soak might alter these rules given Water would strengthen it normally?

Another odd interaction I'm wondering about is with Bitter Blade EX (and also with Ecclesia's Abyssal Undertow) . Would the Curse effect still be reflected since it's generally a Ghost type status, or does the effect coming from a different type of attack get around that?

Please let me handle Lunn's death and her Mawile, @Dragonstrike, @Spiritmon and @Redstone. Plenty of time and opportunity for Bern while you people fight.

It's DnD night for me today, so posts will be sl8w, if any at all.

Yes:

- It would GAIN the Water Typing, rather than it override its existing Types. Final Gambit would still be usable, as its a '(Fighting) Spirit' kind of Move that gets enhanced enough by DDD Weather and the Super Boss' weakeness to 'Light' type attacks, but it wouldn't be nearly as effect as something not normally Immune to Fighting. Expect it to get even stronger from Water Anything, and to begin Healing from it too like GSG
- The Field Conditions will, at bare minimum, be subject to HEAVY alteration if Super Boss is Soaked; expect the Field and moves that Exploit it to be thrown your way more by the Super Boss
- The Grass Type Match up basically becomes comically lopsided in the Attacker's (Not Boss') Favor, but Terrain interactions and general nastiness is also amplified both ways
- Negate Fire Weakness, and in fact make Fire Types in the same boat as Ghost types are in; Ice still maintains its dominance, though less so (were it not for DDD Wink  )
- One Ultimate Attack of ITS will be replaced by the one intended for GSG, which you don't know WHAT said attack (Divine Intel without greater Bargain only goes so far) was but Oz could tell that the Move was just Pure Corruptive EVIL Incarnate.
- May be easier/harder to 'feed' the damn thing bad stuff and have it be Effective against it

The Super Boss is by default Immune to Curse, since its very existence IS a Curse on Reality; that does mean effects that counter-act Curses or get stronger from them are also Enhanced to a greater extent (Hex clone WOULD be eating good here, where it not for the Anti-Ghost Tech tho) .

Ick.  Not looking good for Goodra's Electric type moves then.  Would limit Ceruledge's effectiveness too.  Veluza's not lookin' too useful without Soak though.  Hmmmm...

About what I expected for Curse effects.  Good to have confirmation though.

Welp, I can say one thing: it looks like a strategy involving Sun should be rather effective if we don't Soak it.  Not my preferred weather, but still workable.  Ceruledge would actually be a kinda monstrous attacker here in Sunlight, even without her Ghost type moves.

Rabsca, on the other hand, has been completely and utterly neutralized.  The -5 Will cost has tanked his ability to use his most potent move for a few days, and he has basically no advantages in the actual fight due to a severe type disadvantage.  Oof.

On the other hand Iron Leaves would go from 'risky last resort' to 'MVP' Status right alongside Oz the Grand White Witch, while 'Jame's' Pokemon would certainly benefit from Grass Types and their coverage from getting super charged. The Terrain Effects tho....

Pretty obvious, yes, but at least nobody will be caught off guard by THAT now

Indeed, and I'll tell you right now that Sun won't interact too much with DDD nor override it. Rather, both can co-exist at once - such is the power of even a trace remenant of FAYETTE's I n f l u e n c e  upon the World.

Hey, you got primo Intel and now don't have to worry about risking your insect prophet at all in the Fight. Also means you probably need to fill their place in with another Mon, be it NPC support or a loaner from another Player.
