[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Uh, yeah, about that point:

...this specifically scares me quite a lot. I hope it's okay for me to say that you people should really HURRY in-game and start the fight against that Hateful Being much sooner than later before it has any more chances to react or before more lives are lost to it.

I mentioned this earlier, but it was 5 Units of Med X, which is a type of medicine that Resets Potion Effectiveness. Useful in a pinch if you're burning through your Heals fast, which may end up the case if you need to use Max Potions, FRs, and Max Revives.  Everyone is supposed to split them up amongst each other, with any not taken up for grabs by the NPCs.

For supporters, I already said that a minimum of Four People will be willing to either lend Pokemon or, if you're Charismatic, get them to join despite the insane risks. Who you'll get is entirely random, but I'll get to Rolling them out eventually if you want to leave such things to Fate instead of trying your own Fortune at a more targeted (and time consuming) search of Pokemon/Trainers that fit your criteria.

All Healers and Pure Support Mons are already assigned and working in the various field hospitals and clinics around the Staging Zone or are directly supporting the Military in keeping the Zone safe and under control, so you're not going to get anyone from that particular subtype of Trainers/Support.

I think in that case I might grab 1 or 2 units of Med X, unless @Dragonstrike and @Redstone desire to grab more than more. I think we should decide how much we can agree to split the items between us and the npcs.

I think I willing to search for some volunters to this battle ahead of us. Have the Old Captain lady in our side would be good, but since we do not have enough time to heal her, I think I might just search for another trainer to join to our cause in the battle ahead. What skills would be used in this roll? I do imagined the Social Skills would problably be used. Cute? Tough? Cool? Or will complete depend of the trainer who I found?

I feel confident in found someone to join in the battle ahead since if I not mistaken, the Social attributes become at the same score as the main attributes. And since Oz attributes is bonkers due to it's fusion with Hecate I think I might pull of something.

I gonna write my post and depending of the answer you give me I might change things a bit.

Edit: Wait, what if I use a Full Restore on the Old Captain Lady? Since it can also restore tissue and blood and all that? Would that help?

Computer Fucked Up, so here's the cliff notes:

- Specific Searches would not involve PC Stats, and instead would cost variable amounts of Time and have difficult checks. More Time Spent/Checks Done = Greater Chance Super Boss does SOMETHING
- FR would work on Old Sailor Lady, but A) You have to convince her to Fight to begin with, as she elected to stay OUT of that to defend the base and that reasoning really hasn't changed, and B) It will take TIME and valuable resources to get her back in action

That's...change my plans quite a lot actually. Hmmm...

@Dragonstrike @Redstone should Oz look for another npc to help us or should we just go straight to the boss and pray for the best? Because I slight concerned in how Oz should use the little time we have.

To clarify (and apologizes for the late response), the Random NPCs (and the Mons they're offering)  I'll bring up soon-ish (My life has been rather...busy as of late) will NOT have a Time Cost associated with them, nor will any attempts made to actually get them to Join Up unless you make a bad Roll (Default is INS + Contest + Empathy for a Persuasion Check), but that could change depending on how you go about it, like more Intimidation , putting on a Performance, appealing to their sense of duty/Nature, etc.) . Think of the Random NPCs as the ones your PCs just so happened to catch their attention or are some of the rare few to approach you - no time spent finding them, and it's assumed that it'll take little time to actually talk and make borrowing their Mons/getting their support since these meet ups happened ASAP.

It's only if you are making Targeted, Focused Searches for Mons/People to fight with - or in the case of Old Sailor Lady trying to get her back in shape and convince her to Fight - will a Time Cost be applied, as your PCs have to spend a not insignificant amount of time and effort to do all this. Oz already spent what 'free Time' they had in De-Cursing Lopzu, while Akamu is currently spending their time Bonding and pepping up their Mons. Only person I haven't heard back from yet about their reactions In Game is @Dragonstrike at this point - maybe they're busy IRL, maybe they're waiting on me to do something specifically.

No updates for today - I've been busy with several important errands and preparing for 4th of July for the past few days, and I got work in the evening. Will be busy Thursday morning too, so latest I'll get to the game thread is around Thursday afternoon or so. Sorry mates, but as I've mentioned life has been rather busy and hectic lately...

All good @Lord Windos. I understand life has been busy (we all been busy). I had...a rough week. It was not the worse week of my life, but was not been good nonetheless. That's why I had been silent until now.

Not gonna enter in details, but things at least a somewhat normal now. Been working on my table too. My players has been having quite a lot of good fights. If you got time later mate I could share with you what I been brewing in my table either via Steam, Discord, or even here on the forums via pm (although my box is almost full at 92%). Been a long time since we had conversation besides via posts.

Also also, been thinking about maybe in the future gm a One shot or even a campaign. I know I know, I has saying this for years now, but I been working on my English speaking via voice channel with Dragonstrike and Redstone from time to time, so I think I could working on something. And to be something else of Pokerole like Pathfinder 2e or maybe Tormenta 20 (Phantom was curious about the system so I might do something about it).
