However, if you have a Tyranitar and you want to move a heavy boulder, it's fine to look him up in the Pokedex and see what his own strength is.
A newbie trainer with 1 Strength commanding a Tyranitar is not going to be able to use Tyranitar's strength effectively in battle.
Fair enough re-interpretation of the core rules on Stats, and it streamline things quite a bit. Thanks for answering all my stupid questions. Also, when I spend EXP on moves, do I substrate the amount the EXP the Pokémon has and add the Move to their Move Pool?
