Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans
#10
I would agree with your analyses of Nucleon and M-Inflagetah.

Like you said, Nucleon has almost no viable counters, and the only move that would truly cripple it would be Skill Swap. The need to include specially trained mons on your team just to counter Nucleon leads to over-centralization; every team either needs a Nucleon or a counter-Nucleon just to be viable.

M-Inflagetah is a slightly different case, but the verdict is still the same. Looking at its stats is daunting in itself - those speed and atk stats are monstrous. Trick Room wouldn't cripple this guy because it has easy access to several priority moves. Inflagetah's ability gives a huge boost to these priority moves as well. BP120 Extremespeed, anyone? Baton Pass it a Swords Dance and the entire enemy team is getting one-shot. Could you switch into its Extremespeed with a ghost-type mon? Absolutely. Could you switch into Flame Impact with a pkmn with Flash Fire? Absolutely. Could you just include a bulky water type on your team specifically to deal with Inflagetah? Definitely. However, this leads to a situation similar to that which Nucleon presents. Either you need an Inflagetah on your team or a specially-trained counter-Inflagetah on your team to be viable. Once again, overcentralization is the threat here.

I haven't enough experience yet with Yata or M-Syrentide to discuss these two, but if they take the fun out of the game like the two above, then some serious thought needs to be given to their power and inclusion in competitive tiers.
The smartest idiot you ever met.
