With hardly a trace of his usual warmth on his face, Ven was the picture of seriousness as he told her of their plan : "Nate and I have completed our respective research, and we are ready to move on the offensive against those blighted mages. Are you ready, Shiva, or do you need more time to gather supplies and prepare your Pokémon?"

When Ventus came to the table she was residing with Master, Cottonee gave him an pleased look. She was enjoying how that young man was acting sucpicious with the other one there, there was actually no need to alert Master!

Shiva however, needed a moment to realize what he just said and get familiar with that plain seriousness Ven was expressing. She didn't saw such a side from him before, it was unusual and fascinating to her. Calling the mages 'blithed' offended her just a little, but she didn't showed this.

Closing the Guidebook, she spoke to him in a soft tone, and suprisingly showing no fear of the thought to head down the base now. "Finished research? Good. Nope, I'm down to tackle those Scimitars right away. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can move on on our way." Luckily she already had the book concerning Earth Lore packed away since she still believed that especially Ventus might hate this particular book for connecting it with magic (although it was no magic), and Nathan finding it suspicious. She packed away the Guidebook and fully charged cell (hooray!) before expressing to leave the library with Cottonee in her arms.
