Alright, we can continue this at a later point.  The little bit I typed is just a brief summary missing some important details.

And once that's been read, he closes everything and leaves the PC on its default search window for the library.  Then starts putting away the books he'd pulled out, starting with the one on Holon.

Blegh.  He didn't like keeping all this from Shiva, even though Ventus insisted that this would be better for her in the long run...

He nodded his head at Nathan comment, before he took the piece of paper he wrote on and stored it away into his satchel and helped his friend put away the large quantity of tomes he took out. 'No need for unnecessary eyes to uncover what exactly we he was researching, as that could raise question we are not ready to answer, or draw the wrong type of attention to us...' Ventus though, his eyes flicking towards Shiva as that sentiment echoed in his head. He could feel the young trainer's distaste of keeping this all hush hush from her, but he knew that if they discovered the hellhound he was keeping right now, it would only cause a new flare of emotional outburst from all of them, and quite possible drive her over the edge. Secret keeping is something he seldom takes a kind eye to, but for now he has to employ it....

"Now that we have finished our respective research, should we all head to the Center and get some rest and then hit the Base tomorrow night, or should attack effective immediantly before the Scimitars have any time to learn of our arrival in town? I'm partial toward the latter option, but I want to hear what you have planned for our assault," Ventus whisper to Nathan, once they were done putting away all the books. Preparation is key to all endevours, and they needed every ounce of it if they didn't want to be waylayed by those cabal of vile wizards....

Nathan rubs his temples in thought once more.  Yeesh, it'd been a long day...he was feeling a lot better now, but...did he feel ready for this?  He had originally been planning to do it at the soonest opportunity, though...

After hearing back from Scree on the details of Numel, a smile graces the researcher's face as he firmly nods their head. He records a voice message that says: The Numel you offer more than fulfills the offer I posted, and I would be happy to trade Heatmor for her. Meet me at the Trading Post, and we can conduct the trade at the soonest opportunity. - sends it to them, before making a detour to the Pokémon Center to put Ariel into his PC Box, and retrieve Heatmor, and head to meet up with them for their swap and meet!

Ventus, not put out in the slightest by Nathan's non-commitale answer, just firmly nods his head and crosses their arms in front of his chest. "In that case, I recommend we strike them tonight. The less time we give them to learn about our presence and react, the greater the impact our assault will have on their occupying forces. That, and having the element of surprise would help us greatly in our effort to stamp out this vile, blasted cabal of Water Scimitars. Let's inform Shiva of this course of action, and get ready to move out to the Genesect statue," the researcher says, before he walked over to the young lass in question and gently shook their shoulder, catching their attention.

With hardly a trace of his usual warmth on his face, Ven was the picture of seriousness as he told her of their plan : "Nate and I have completed our respective research, and we are ready to move on the offensive against those blighted mages. Are you ready, Shiva, or do you need more time to gather supplies and prepare your Pokémon?"

Numel scarcely notices she's been traded for about 60 seconds. Then she suddenly growls at Ventus, until she notices Ventus' other Pokemon.

Scree explains to Numel what's going on. "I'm going to use this Heatmor to get into that Durant tunnel. Remember, the ones that almost carried you off last week?"

Numel shudders, and the ground tremors a bit with her. She trots over to Ventus and stands there, awaiting further instructions. Now and then, her cauldron goes "Gloop!" She appears capable of entertaining himself indefinitely, but without being Oblivious to the world around her.

The researcher was a bit starled by the seismic activity from his newest party member, but just give them a great big warm smile and crouches down to their height to slowly speak with her (Its either a girl, or Ventus is getting very odd signals from this camel...), keeping his response concise and to the point. With either of its abilities lending to the species a certain amount of denseness, Ventus wanted to make sure his message was entirely clear to her. "Why hello there! My name is Ventus Zachariah, your new master. You are a part of my family now, and I promise to take good care of you. I will give you a new name, since all my Pokémon deserve one. How does Haniel sound? I find it very fitting for a Fire type like you. Do you like it?"

When Ventus came to the table she was residing with Master, Cottonee gave him an pleased look. She was enjoying how that young man was acting sucpicious with the other one there, there was actually no need to alert Master!

Shiva however, needed a moment to realize what he just said and get familiar with that plain seriousness Ven was expressing. She didn't saw such a side from him before, it was unusual and fascinating to her. Calling the mages 'blithed' offended her just a little, but she didn't showed this.

Closing the Guidebook, she spoke to him in a soft tone, and suprisingly showing no fear of the thought to head down the base now. "Finished research? Good. Nope, I'm down to tackle those Scimitars right away. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can move on on our way." Luckily she already had the book concerning Earth Lore packed away since she still believed that especially Ventus might hate this particular book for connecting it with magic (although it was no magic), and Nathan finding it suspicious. She packed away the Guidebook and fully charged cell (hooray!) before expressing to leave the library with Cottonee in her arms.

"Besides... Were you sucessful in researching in this small library? I wasn't... What were you looking for?"

Numel seems to accept this name without strong feelings either way. She's a practical sort.

Hearing Shiva's bold declaration and detecting the fearlessness within her (Which conveniently hid her offended feelings!), Ventus' managed to crack a slight smile, pleased with this new found fortitude they were exhibiting. 'A wonderful change, compared to her recent feeling of depression and worry! With everyone of one mind and heart against the Scimitars, there is no way we will fall to their fell practices and arcane sorcery,' he though, before extending a hand to help her up from their set.

"That is a answer I love hearing from you, my friend! Let's head out right away, and put a stop to whatever designs those Scimitars have on this town! And, pray to Reshirim , some information as to Silverfish's status. Oh, and I was just looking up ways to curb Draconic disobedience and some medicial text, and further educate myself on those matters. Never stop learning, even about subject you are well educated in, is a practice I whole heartidly endorse!," Ven said, before he lead Nathan and her out of the Library, and to the Genesect statue. He had the Burn Drive, so he had to be there to insert it in the structure to open the way forward...
