And if you look from another pespeticve, the Creation Trio indeed looks like a heart, with Palkia and Dialga on the top, Giratina in the bottom, and Arceus on the center. At least that was my first impression. When I making my character sheet, I was thinking about what name the character would be. I always someone who love a good lore, and from legends about mythics and legendaries from the pokemon world, the Creation Trio was always my favourite. Divine and god like forces ruling the forces of time and space, a neutral force who rules the Anti-matter and the reality of the world, and a almight and powerfull god who is above all? God like tales always was fascinated me, since I always read books about mythology about egypt, greek and roman myths about gods and monsters. None of these stories is truth, but it is a fascinating thing to read.
Thats why I love so much the games of both Elder Scrolls and the Pokemon franchise. I like the pokemon franchise not only because of the pokemons (obiviously) but it because of the lore of the pokemon world. I would dare to say I like more the lore of the pokemon world, then the game itself. And the Elder Scrolls franchise its chest filled with treasures, because of the story about Tamriel (the world where it happens the Elder Scrolls games) is so much incredible.
Thats why I always try to create some sort of backstory for all my character I made: Arial and Heart both took a time to make interesting lores. But I think Heart is the most creative in perks of lore/backstory. About his ancestors, the Eight clans, besides other things. Its actually something I try to made. And the part about: "They are forgotten to be only be remember by a few." Have some be there, by the most important it to not interfere with the lore/narration of Iron, since as much I like to make/read lores, I dont want to interfere with the lore of the master itself.
At least thats my insight about that. Sorry if my post become so much large. I divague sometimes when I think deep about any topic. Again, sorry @Iron and @Dragonstrike.
Here's the fun part though: all official lore surrounding the arrangement of the Lake and Creation Trios positions them like in this image of the Mystri stage:

Uxie/Palkia is at the top, Mesprit/Dialga is in the lower left, and Azelf/Giratina is in the lower right. Arceus/Dialga/Palkia is usually found in the middle. This is also reflected in the positions of the three major lakes in Sinnoh and the location of Spear Pillar. Even in Creshire, this pattern holds true to an extent. Mesprit was located at the Safari Zone when the League found it. Uxie was last seen flying north of Creshire, over the ocean. Azelf was last seen in a hurry around the Lake Chicory area. What's in the middle of those three areas? Mt. Sentry (no idea if that has any significant meaning or not yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough!). And where was Mesprit in its hidden cavern? In the Southwestern corner of it (mostly a flavoring thing in this case, though, rather than being anything potentially meaningful on its own). In Sinnoh's Lake Caverns, the trio also follows the triangular pattern, with isolated puddles representing the locations of the other two members of the trio (the pixie that occupies the cavern is found in the correct corner of the triangle relative to the two puddles when you enter the cavern). The Cave of Being in Unova follows the same pattern with dry spots on the ground which the pixies occupy.

...and as such, Nathan is VERY interested in Heart's pendant, since it's a very different depiction of the Creation Trio than usual. IC and OOC, I'm finding this expanded lore an interesting option to explore.
I love a good bit of lore myself, and Sinnoh easily has some of my favorite bits and pieces since they explore what made the pokemon world the way it is.
Another part I like to think about is why there seems to be more than one of certain Legendaries. Things like Lati@s, Genesect, and Shaymin are easy: it's canon that there's 'a lot' of them. The Lake Trio and the Regis? How about the Legendary Birds and Beasts? What about the Weather Trio? Those are a bit harder. Gens 2-5 have some interesting material to examine for why Legendaries from older generations show up in so many regions, though.
And then Gen 6 and 7 said 'screw it!' and started the multi-verse theory that allows dragging in Legendaries from other dimensions when they don't have any reason to be/live in that region in the first place. Not quite as interesting, tbh, but the lore surrounding the Legends that are only native to Kalos and Alola so far is certainly beefy, I'll give it that much.
