It depends on what attacks they have, but you're right that only a limited number will be able to attack through the stairs. Your entire party, complete with Pokemon, all stood on those stairs at once, so that's a good number for estimation purposes.

You can see the crate again. They could re-open it with an action every time you closed it, which makes me laugh to picture it. Your Pokemon can probably use more actions in a round though - if that's true, there will be at least a couple seconds where it's closed.

Can I get Gothitelle's help with keeping the stairs shut, @PhantomUnderYourDesk?  The fewer Scims we have to fight, the better.  Between Gothitelle and Gallade, we can probably keep those stairs closed, and thus keep the Scims from being able to attack us with any kind of frequency.

Also, Phantom and @Spiritmon...could I ask for Shiva and Heart to give Nathan their Red Gemstones while the stairs are shut?  If something goes wrong, I'd like to have a panic button, and Nathan needs all five gemstones for the Red Chain to be assembled.
