...I'm not sure that'll count as Plot Device damage unless the Moltres Egg assists you.  The only reason Heart is even able to burn away the threads at all is because of the Moltres Egg being the primary thing fueling the fire.

Even ROCK SMASH, a move so powerful it's a borderline Plot Device, wasn't able to leave a mark on that cord.

That doesn't prevent me from trying it, please don't discourage me like that. It's GM's discretion whether it works or not. Your guess, Iron? If you assure me it's worthless, I rather not spent those 6XP.

Couple questions, @Iron: How many Scims could attack us per Round from that narrow stairwell?  They're large in number, but they probably can't attack us all at the same time, right?

Is the crate that opens/closes the stairs visible again?  How quickly can they reopen the stairs if we reclose them with Telekinesis?  Or is there too many of them for this option to be viable?  (Even if it only works once, that could buy us enough time to burn the threads)

It depends on what attacks they have, but you're right that only a limited number will be able to attack through the stairs. Your entire party, complete with Pokemon, all stood on those stairs at once, so that's a good number for estimation purposes.

Can I get Gothitelle's help with keeping the stairs shut, @PhantomUnderYourDesk?  The fewer Scims we have to fight, the better.  Between Gothitelle and Gallade, we can probably keep those stairs closed, and thus keep the Scims from being able to attack us with any kind of frequency.

Also, Phantom and @Spiritmon...could I ask for Shiva and Heart to give Nathan their Red Gemstones while the stairs are shut?  If something goes wrong, I'd like to have a panic button, and Nathan needs all five gemstones for the Red Chain to be assembled.

From Shiva's side only if she gets the gemstone back later if not used, she likes this lil' thing a lot. Gothy's help is fine.

Using the gem doesn't consume the matter of the gem, either, just consumes the magic.
