If we use Wide Guard, we can't use Growl and Intimidate and need to use a 5 Str character. Wide Guard reduces the damage pool by 3 and can reduce it to 0, which means the move wouldn't connect at all.
In any case, with or without Wide Guard, a 1 D6 - 1 damage with no chance of critting is entirely possible.
I honestly though the whole 'Remove Damage Dice Entirely' was only a feature in Protect/Detect, but I guess all Protect Moves (Except Endure) get that property. Like you said, though, it don't matter if WG is used or not, as the party just plain has the ability to not hurt people with Solomon's HP, which is all the info Iron really needs to get the go ahead to have the wise king spam the Move on the Kadabra (Assuming everyone is fine with that plan). Right?
