Your first team in Uranium
#44
My first team was electruxo + gyarados + hm slaves/eggs, until pokemon liga, and I kinda regret it. They did a great job, but it wasnt too much fun tho because gyarados lacked important moves until the end of the game, so he was basically stuck with bite, dragon rage, aqua tail and dragon dance for most of the time. If I played uranium a second time, Id certainly catch a gyarados before going to pokemon liga and catch unymph, glaslug, swabone and devimp as early as possible. Electruxo has awesome offensive typing and solid stats, there wasnt much that could resist against his moves surf/scald/ice beam/thunderbolt, but he ended up not being in my final team because I didnt like his sprite too much (especially the yellow thing on his head). I liked the sprite of his mega evolution much better, but decided not to play with mega evolutions, nuclear types and legendaries, so...

It is my first playthrough and I enabled challenge mode in options when starting the adventure. I have obtained almost 190 different pokemon and for my final team I went with the 6 Pokemon sprites I like the most, which are:

Ability: gale wings
Moveset: roost, x-scissor, acrobatics, swords dance

This mon is a beast. It can wipe out whole teams on its own, with the idea to swords dance first move and spam acrobatics against everything that doesnt resist flying type. Thanks to gale wings, acrobatics will always be a priority move of 110 base power (without holding an item) + stab bonus, which can also trash nuclear types such as theos nucleon. So the ev could even be invested into atk and hp, trying to make it a bit more bulky. But if x-scissor should be a fast move, it would make more sense to put them into atk and spe.

Ability: intimidate
Moveset: outrage, waterfall, earthquake, dragon dance

Another beast that can wipe out whole teams alone, once it has setup 1-2 dragon dances, which should be easy to do as long as the enemies type is not rock or electric (even tho rock attacks are very uncommon). Outrage has to be used wisely, as being confused afterwards can be a huge downside. Its ability is also great for debuffing your enemies physical attacking power, which could even be stacked by switching out to beliaddon and back in to gyarados, rendering their physical attackers useless and laughing at them (I actually did that to urayne gamma, sacrificing most of my team members just to get that sweet -6 attack on it, so it became extremely weak).

Ability: intimidate
Moveset: crunch, flare blitz, earthquake, infernal blade

Powerful and bulky. It usually destroys half of the enemies team until it gets taken down. Flare blitz should be used carefully, as it will cost many hp most of the time. Thus, infernal blade is the preferred fire move for most cases, which also trashes fairy types. I just wish its accuracy was 100, since even 95 accuracy moves can fail twice or more in a row, which annoys me as hell.

Ability: nature cure
Moveset: surf, recover, ice beam, sludge bomb

Powerful and bulky. Similar like beliaddon and has, thanks to recover, more staying power, but with the key difference that glavinug usually takes longer to take them down, when dealing neutral damage. Surf and ice beam are amazing stab moves and compared to electruxo, it doesnt have that annoying earthquake weakness. Dragon types should fear that ice beam. I prefer sludge bomb over dazzling gleam because it trashes those somewhat annoying fairy types and I dont need another move for dragon, dark or fighting types. Should it ever suffer a status problem, all it has to do is switching out, thanks to nature cure.

Ability: levitate
Moveset: leaf blade, superpower, shadow claw, swords dance

Maybe my weakest team member. Unfortunately it doesnt have enough speed to be a sweeper and its defensive stats are a bit more fragile. But it does great when it can make use of its 3 type immunities or 3 resistances, setting up a swords dance or even 2 and trash. I am not sure about leaf blade and super power, I will probably replace them with low kick and mach punch/shadow sneak because the debuff of super power sucks and those priority moves should work well with swords dance. So I might even replace super power and leaf blade with mach punch and shadow sneak, making it a revenge killer, but after setting up swords dances, it could also work as a sweeper then.

Ability: stormbringer
Moveset: roost, nasty plot, thunderbolt, dragon pulse

Should be used carefully as the lightning attacks can do massive damage to gyarados, glavinug and harptera when switching out. The idea here is simple: setup a nasty plot and trash them, and thanks to roost, it should not be easy to take it down. This one is probably my weakest of my 3 sweepers.

It turned out that this team is actually super strong, but the most important thing is to know when you have to switch out for type advantage/nullifying type disadvantage. One of the team members should always be able to switch in the type the enemy is using, if needed.
