If we can't figure anything out, I say we head left. Going that way doesn't require us to drop down onto the right path, and therefore we don't have to struggle doubling back up if the right way isn't....well, the right way (or is, but doesn't have additional loot that the left way does) .
To clarify, the path leading to the right side of the tile is where you came from, as this dungeon is tile based. The sloping corridor is represented by the 'drop'.
Err....alright, then I say continue on straight ahead from wherever the group is currently heading from (or from the right sloping corridor, to paraphrase you) . Taking lots of twists and turns is a easy way to get yourself lost IC, and OOC I think that if we keep heading in one direction until we can't is a lot easier to keep track of our progress and work our way through a dungeon.
Oh, and no splitting the party at this point in time. Given how individually weak our charas are, even a 3 / 2 split would probably screw us over in the short and long term. Number advantage is just about all we got at this point, so let's leverage it for all its worth and stay safe!
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
