That raises avquestion: Does the Corebook's definition explicitly state that Covering an Ally can't guard against Contact Moves? And if so, why? I can see static/nonliving Cover not doing jack skellyton against a Contact Move from a determined Pokemon unless its a Rampage or indiscriminate Move, but with living Cover can't the Pokemon in question just intercept the attacker by body blocking them or constantly preposition their ward away from them? Heck, with your revisions to Cover that arguably would make more sense that way, since the Covering Pokemon is actively focusing on shielding the Pokemon from attacks, so I do find it a mit bit incongruous that living Cover can't shield against Contact Moves in those instances.
