Lemme throw another suggestion at you guys that you haven't considered yet: clashing.  You want to body block a contact move?  You can absolutely try to do that with a Clash involving two physical moves (assuming the Clash succeeds).  That is what the mechanic is for.

Cover is primarily for blocking ranged attacks.  Clash is for reducing the power of dangerous attacks and just generally getting in the way of your opponent.

I think that's a more elegant solution to the dilemma Windos posed earlier than trying to homebrew rules for Covering against contact moves.
