Mystery Dungeon Basics:
- A Mystery Dungeon has a different layout every time it is entered. This means the map and placement of items and wild pokemon changes on each attempt (though the exact contents may not be completely random, in which case only the placement of specific encounters is randomized)
- If everyone faints in a Mystery Dungeon with no means of revival, they are transported back to the entrance of the dungeon immediately.
- Wild pokemon are generally aggressive on sight and mildly territorial (more intelligent ones may be able to be reasoned with)
- You heal 1 HP for every tile you move (unless otherwise specified)
- If you linger too long on a single floor, the mysterious wind/force will force you to leave the dungeon
Also, if you feel like you need an extra pair of hands, don't forget that Pyra has the Djinn's Bottle.
Edit: Oh yeah, and one other thing. PMD games have a consistent theme of being underdog stories. You'll consistently see unevolved mons taking on pokemon that would normally be far stronger than them, and Primal Shadows is going to be doing much the same at a lot of points (with stats scaled appropriately so that things aren't entirely unfair).
