Though if I REALLY wanted to I could just make her go Primal by saying so (unless I read the rules wrong, which is a possibility), but that doesn't really serve me much mechanical benefit right now with just 2 Instinct and a few Tiny Revivers scattered around the group. Curious to see HOW it would affect Pyra, though, considering she has complete amnesia and doesn't really care about her past humanity. Losing all her Logic is not going to be taking away a lot of 'herself' unless her alien and demonic mindset and current personality somehow counts as being 'Logical' / 'human' , or you outright rule her character destruction as a consequence.

Based on the roleplay so far, I'd say this counts as an extremely distressing situation for Pyra, so I'd say you could manually trigger the Primal State while conscious if you wished.  Just keep in mind it requires both increasing your Primal to 1 (the only consequence at this point in time.  They get steeper as Primal gets higher, though) after the battle and doing appropriate more feral roleplay after it's been activated (until the battle is over/you're safe).

Of course, doing this at the very start of the battle might not be the best strategic advantage for obvious reasons.  You also can't trigger the Primal State again while it's still active, and you lose a Will Point if you faint during the Primal State, so keep that in mind too.  There may also be some...other things that happen when the Primal State is triggered/wears off at my discretion, but those'll be a surprise.

Logic is definitely tied to being able to remember you're human, as well as any goals/missions/details that were learned during that time (such as information on the Plates and Shadow Pokemon).  If you ever hit 0 Logic, you can't remember you were once human at all, nor any memories/details associated with that time, and the book rules that as a complete loss of the character.  If you can't remember your original mission, then you can't exactly complete it, after all.  That doesn't necessarily mean the character isn't still salvageable, but you'd probably need a replacement character until if/when your main character's Logic is restored to greater than 0 if that's possible (if you reach 0 Logic because of a really high Primal stat, though, they're probably too far gone for that).

Ah, I need DM permission for intention Primal Triggers. Well, that takes a burden off me, unless I somehow manage to get Pyra into that level of distress again (not something I aim to do). Like I said, I'm not going to trigger Primal State, since it serves no benefit to Pyra right now. MAYBE if the battle goes entirely tits up I'll press it after she Faints w/o Revivers, but that's a pretty big if considering she's working an uphill battle against a mob of Fighting types.

To be frank Dragonstrike, if Pyra can't be controlled by me at all at 0 Logic OR she's essentially erased at that threshold, I'm liable to abandon the game until she is useable or a compromise is reached about what I can do with her at 0 Logic. I like playing as Pyra no matter the consequences, but having that hard fail state with a character that was (and still is) essentially a highly impressionable blank slate building her personality off her Pokemon/demon Instincts is not ideal. I'm not asking for her to have her memories (well, new memories) or remembering her Purposes at that point, but I'd still like the opportunity to RP as what is essentially a feralized human and see how that pans out with the group before I made any decisions to make a new character to temp/perm replace her. Heck, if I can just have her create/develop new memories as Feral!Pyra and the group can teach her 'right' the 2nd go around, then it'd probably solve a lot of interdynamic problems and make her and everyone happy in the process. Unless she's just completely unable to be civil like Native/Non Human Civilized Pokemon and you make her run off into the Wilds via DM fait, in which case I'm wondering why that has to be the case.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
