Sorry for the delay in replying, been preoccupied with university stuff and I didn't have internet at home the whole of yesterday because of some damage to the fibre infrastructure near our place. Could have posted from my phone but I hate doing that because the formatting always ends up getting screwed. Before I post, I would like to just discuss something with you guys. I've already spoken to dragon about it, and he seems to be fine with it, so I'll likely go ahead with it, but I don't want to just drop it on you guys like an a-bomb. I was thinking that I'm gonna have Daxter leave the team. Seems like it's the most natural thing for him to do. He'd likely go and form his own team because he's kinda sick of continuously arguing with both Pyra and Kogeki, and Dragon said that Karen would likely follow him so that he can fill up his quota of three Pokemon to start a team. The third mon would be the Litwick, Klink or Rolycoly (we can discuss that, I kinda want the rolycoly seeing as Daxter went out of his way to get it into the team). Would any of you be vehemently opposed to that? Just feels like it'd make sense rp-wise and I wanted to bring it up here before posting in the main thread because it'd be a good time to ask the Machamp if Daxter could get a different property to the rest of the team.

Oh wow, that IS a annoucement. Uh.....I didn't think Pyra was causing that much trouble to warrant Dax splintering off, at least from an OOC perspective, so I'm sorry if my rping has soured your experience to the point you have to get your chara away from mine.

From an OOC standpoint, I'm fine with Dax going off on his own to make his own team, but I'm worried what that would mean for the overall game since Dragonstrike now has to keep track of twice as many Teams and run twice as many dungeons (on and off screen). I mean if you have everything worked out there then my concerns are frivilous, but even then I rather not add the extra time it takes for the game to run like that unless you seriously can't enjoy playing it with Pyra/Kogeki.

From an IC standpoint, you'd basically be doing to Pyra what Kogeki is planning to do - abandoning the team and leaving her torn and confused as to what to do about it. Only this time it's FAR worse, since SHE'S responsible in part for the departure. Despite the arguing she does care and love Dax, and would be devastated to find out she (to herself) inadvertidly drove away one of her cherished and beloved friends because she couldn't reconcile her differences with him. Seeing Karen, her only female companion and one she has a soft spot towards, also leave with him would just be like drowning her in saltwater at that point. Honestly, if Dax decided to announce that decision to the group Pyra would probably counter-announce that instead she'd leave the group in order to preserve unity and atone for almost fracturing it to pieces, going off to make a deal with Team Artificer to join them in exchange for the group as a whole leaving her friends alone. If he didn't and just did splintered off without announcement, she'd become severely depressed and more heartbroken/broken in general, and probably have no motivation to continue as an Adventurer for an indefinite amount of time. In either case, Dax leaving because of the argument = Pyra effectively getting sacked unless the salamander made some very convincing arguments to assuage her guilt and carry on without him/Karen. Which, given the bad blood he has for her, likely won't bother doing so.

So yeah. I'm sorta fine with you splittering off if that doesn't cause too much issues OOC, but IC if Dax leaves for the reasons stated (or maybe not even then, since Pyra is smart enough to infer she could be a probable cause of his departure) then effectively Pyra is out of the game too unless I can contrive upon contrivance a reason why she'd have the Will and motivation to carry on without becoming a total mess psychologically. At that point it's probably better for me to just get another character and try again with making one that isn't nearly as contentious and/or just doesn't care about how many of his/her/its allies leave them and let Dax and Karen stay on the original Team with everyone else. Of course, this would probably cause Kee and Kogeki to have conniptions over her departure since they like her so much (and has a crush on her too, perhaps?), so at that point the team might just fracture anyway and we might as well REBOOT characters entirely and make a whole new group, this time by discussing with each other before hand what they're like so we don't create Team OS's brand of disfunction again. I doubt anyone would like THAT option, considering we'd basically be throwing away a year's worth of progress and character growth, but what else can be done to make a single stable group that doesn't result in multiple characters having The Conniptions over one member leaving?

Basically, for the sake of not causing that mess to happen, I rather Dax stick around  OR have Pyra be the one to leave the group (and get reassurances that the rest of the group wouldn't immediately splitter over HER loss). I have planned for Pyra undergo character development that, while not making her to be conventionally moral, would make her FAR less prone to arguing with others or doing anything that sets him off or could be seen as 'wrong' in front of him/others that care, so that is points towards Dax sticking around imo. Otherwise if you plan on Dax leaving no matter what, I'm going to have to fall back on the previous plans and have a serious talk with Dragonstrike as what I can do to move forward in his campaign.
