Platina has little trouble with persuading the small Petilil to join Team OS.  They seem to be rather awestruck by how commanding the bird seems to be despite being almost as beat up as they are.  Petilil was recruited to Team Omega Seekers!

By contrast, Daxter finds it's actually quite hard to convince an evolved pokemon to join a team primarily with words.  The Crustle weakly swipes at Daxter with a claw, missing but delivering a message all the same: it doesn't really care for the compliments and grand goals.

Second item: normal trap triggering odds for Daxter (4 or less), but Kogeki can avoid triggering one trap by using his tracking abilities to carefully spot an area that the wild pokemon have been specifically avoiding.  They seem to instinctively know where the traps are even though they can't see them...

(1) Daxter triggers a trap and takes 1 damage!

Third item: a trap has been triggered, so the odds of triggering another one have gone down.  It is now 3 or less to trigger.

(5) Kogeki does not trigger a trap
(3) Daxter triggers another trap and takes 1 damage!

Daxter is battered by sudden bursts of prickly, barbed seeds no matter where he tries to stand.  It's in rather stark contrast to Kogeki expertly dodging every single trap in the room.

"Well, that was a little too harrowing for my liking.  Normally fighting wild pokemon of that level wouldn't be an issue for us."

Rhyperior's response is gruff.  "Harumph.  That's monster houses for ya.  Though this one did seem to have larger than normal.  We're lucky these strangers came along."

"Oh, right, we haven't had a proper introduction yet have we?  I'm Roserade, and this is Rhyperior.  We're members of the Master Rank Expedition Team known as Team Raiders, treasure hunters extraordinaire.  And you all are...?"

"Hoopa!"

"Just Hoopa?"

"Just Hoopa!~  That's all you need to know!~"

"Hmmmmmm...and how about the rest of you?"

"I'm Braixen.  Daughter of the Adventurers' Guild's Guildmaster Delphox.  These are Teams Omega Seekers and Night Wardens from that same guild.  They were sent on a mission to locate you after you'd failed to report back when expected."  (you may do individual introductions if desired)

"Yes, we have run into some...complications recently.  This Mystery Dungeon is more confounding than the average one.  We're not even entirely sure how we got here, let alone how to leave.  Escape Orbs are doing nothing.  That does raise the question of how you all got here though.  And how such a motley mix of pokemon ended up banding together, I might add."

Braixen tries to change the topic.  "...well, we're here now.  We've found you.  But isn't there supposed to be a third member of your team?  A Gallade, right?"

"Gallade went ahead on a scouting mission.  With his psychic powers, we were hoping that maybe he could figure out a way to get out of here."

"...and yet we haven't seen nor heard from him since he went ahead.  I was hoping he would be here, at the halfway point, but as he is nowhere to be seen, I have a bad feeling about this...we need to find him, and quickly.  I'm beginning to worry that he's run into trouble deeper in the Mystery Dungeon..."

Being surrounded by so many friendly faces during this rest is a little invigorating.  Everyone is fully healed and regains 1 Will point during this rest period.  You may take some time to converse with your allies before proceeding deeper into the dungeon.

Platina gives a bright smile as Petilil responded eagerly to their proposition, offering them a wing to shake/bump on it. "Welcome to the team, Petilil. I knew I was right about you. If you have any preferences for what you wish to be called, do let us know, but for now and times to come let us cooperate to new sky highs!"

Dax's lack of success with winning over his own prospect earns him a concerned frown. Seemed like pure misfortunate at first glance, but her Keen Eye could tell that the Leader of the Night Wardens was, no matter his natural charisma, unpracticed in matters of conversation. Hmm.....perhaps she could help him with that later? Would do him no good if his Leadership skills fell behind, and beyond that she'd was still curious to get to know the slightly enigmatic former member of Team OS....

'....Maybe get Kogeki to teach him some of his shinobi skills too,' she thinks, wincing as she watched him sprang trap after trap. Of course arranging that to happen was going to be difficult, as from what she vaguely recalled the spiritual ninja and draco newt were not on good terms, so maybe she'd recommend he get a dedicated scout/trap buster instead? Decisions decisions....

To the flowery veteran's request for introductions Platina hopped forward and gave a sweeping bow, sending Shiny sparkles scattering as she did so. 

"I'm Platina, of Team Omega Seekers from the Adventurer's Guild. Pleasure to be acquainted with Explorers of your caliber and experience, Lady Roserade and Lord Rhyperior. Hopefully together we'll get to the bottom of this vexing Dungeon and re-unite your with Lord Gallade soon, preferably without too many more nasty surprises waiting in the wings for us all." 

Hoopa's lacking reply and Braixen's successful deflection gets a glance from the ironclad avian. The mischievous wish-maker she could understand being short on details, given the impressions she got from Them and wanting to be discrete with how weakened They were, but why was the Guild Leader's daughter being so coy? If anything they should be striking a more commanding image like their mother, but if anything they seemed like they wanted to avoid attention altogether. Hmm.....

Once that was over, Platina decided to do a check-up up on everyone in her Team first, giving Kee and Kogeki a dull/frustrated look and an impressed/pleased look respectfully.

"Kee, I shouldn't have to tell you this, but please control yourself better in the future. I can't imagine how you managed to survive as long as you have with your flagerant lack of restraint, but one day it will lead you to ruin if you continue to let it go unchecked. Kogeki, I must say I am impressed with your observational skills and fleetness. Less so with you ignoring me in the last fight, but I can forgive you of that considering how necessary such promptness was at the time. You'll have to teach me how you manage to be so refined in your movements - I'm quite fast myself, but nowhere near as Skill at handling my speed as you are."

A bit later she approaches Dax, walking up beside him and giving a slight nod. 

"Good day to you, Dax of Team Night Wardens. How've you faired since we last meet? Given your own arrival here, I imagine you've been having interesting times yourself, but hopefully none too interesting you couldn't handle?

"*Puffs* In any case, I noticed your troubles with recruiting that Bug to your team. You did rather well in your attempt, but I could tell you are not so practiced for such things to be natural yet. When this whole Quest is over I'd be happy to offer my assistance in improving your speech skills. *Puts a wing over her breast* If there is one thing I pride myself over all else, it's my....grasp of Leadership, and I would like to help fellow Leader like yourself avoid the same pitfalls I once suffered through."

A bit more later, she moves alongside young Braixen, giving her a respectful smile as she bowed to them.

"Very good to see you're well, Lady Braixen. Your mother and I was quite worried about your disappearance, so it heartens me to see it hasn't done you any harm and, if I am not mistaken, earnt you the friendship of Dax. *Nods, Smiling Brightly* Quite good - you can never have enough friends, as my own mother often said."

The shiny bird gives them a considering Look then, tilting her head at the heir of the Guild curiously.

"....Forgive my impertinence for asking, but how did you go missing from the Guild in the first place? Did someone kidnap you, or otherwise force your departure? Or...was it for some other reason, perhaps? *Bows* Whatever it is, I'll keep it in strictest confidence if you are reluctant to share. I'm quite good with secrets, despite how much I tend to stand out, as it were. *Chuckles, a bit...sadly* Or perhaps because of it, in all honesty."

Also, needless to say, she agreed with Karen's suggestion, as coordinating as one team through this tricky MD was certainly better than splitting their forces and focus to widely. She would assist on being Leader of her own part of the temporarily coalition, though - this birdy was not one to relinquish her first time in Team Leadership so easily!
