One more thing about Delphox that I've forgotten yesterday and only remembered today: Their species are canonically able to see the future. (aka their dex-entries state that very directly) Therefor it wouldn't suprise me that much personally if our Guildmaster has already foreseen the arrival of new humans into the Pokemon World, them joining her Guild, and them being the key to fight the shadow-y energy. Or even better/worse (depending how one sees it), her being aware of our human state and our secret Quest from Arcus. In what detail however, that depends.

But if it's so, she's doing a very good job to play pretend and not showing anything of that on the outside.
