[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Morgana lets out a long, long sigh.

"....I can not give you the full story. Thrice sworn to secrecy, on my Power, My Authority, and my SOUL, I am. If you want it all, every last scrape of Knowledge about....your past, as it were...."

She trails off, looking to the side for a moment, before looking back to you with an....unreadable look.

"....You could say it is an Enigma to you and me."

The Lady.....your godmother, takes a breath, as she readies to share what she can. Somehow, some part of you.... you knew she spoke true.

"....You were entrusted into my care as a babe one day, Seddi. I was asked if wanted the responsibility. I happily, joyfully accepted. You were...you were such a precious, sweet, and wonderful child - I now see echoes of your innocent youth. ....Eventually, though, I had to relinquish you. Deliver you elsewhere - Paldea, as it turned out. I did not want too, but.....we had no choice. You have....had a Destiny in place. One that could only be fulfilled by...sending you away."

She looked....morose saying that, flickers of old hurt and angry appearing to break it up now and again.

"....I made sure to the utmost you would be Blessed. For you health, your safety, as much as I could bend things you way. To help you find good friends, valiant companions and stalwart allies, who would stand and strengthen you on Path. Last, but not least, I put a...safety net in place. One that would tell me if you were ever in grave and danger most dire, or if your heart and SOUL cried out for sincere need. I would come to your aid then, Prophecy be damned - I got that much out of....."

The Queen bites her tongue, before sighing again and giving you a pondering, sad, yet wonderous look.

"....Though given what has happened to your SOUL, from what I saw, and from I can See of your current Paths and Destiny.....what once Was is No Longer the case. Whatever has happened to you....you've been Changed. Freed. Fate, Destiny, Fortune....they do not Bind or carry you along any longer. Guide and influence still, no doubt, but....what you Choose is entirely you own. *Wane Smile* Or influenced by Forces even I can not comprehend, but even then....I see nothing amiss or Foul Play with You. 

"You are Free, my dear child. Free like seldom anyone is in this World. If their is anything to take away from this, it is that."

"*Sighs* ....Though judging by everything else I have managed to divine about you and my....partner, it would be accurate to say you have wrapped yourself in a different Path entirely. One Grand and Epic in its own right, if it would lead you to Sutalör and meet me like.....this and that."

She lets out a mirthless chuckle at that.

"Fate....even for one Freed of it and another bending at whimsical whim of another....it truly loves to make a mess out of things."

It's a long, long pause before Seddi speaks, his expression remaining unreadable the entire time.

"Fortune does indeed have a funny way of making a mess of things along the way, taking you in directions you never thought you'd travel."

He lets out a long, exasperated sigh of his own.  He doesn't like that Enigma is tied up in the mess that is his unknown past.  Guess he didn't know exactly why she pricked his arm, either.

And while the woman in front of him looks sincere by all appearances...

...he still finds it difficult to really care much about that, having grown up in the manner he did.  He's not heartless, but he resolved to move on from his mysterious past long ago, even if he is still curious about it to some degree.

"From where I stand, this doesn't really change anything for me at the moment.  I'm here on very particular terms with very particular goals.  My origins, as far as I know, currently have very little to do with that.  And if that's all the insight you can offer on the topic, that's the only conclusion I can draw right now.  Apologies if that's disappointing to hear."

He checks the time.  He needs to be getting back soon, though he's at the mercy of Morgana's whims currently.  Her sudden appearance was definitely going to give him one heck of a mess to clean up once he's back...
